    I love that engine roar on takeoff.
    Also, can you do more spottings especially at DFW because I enjoy those a lot.
    Video suggestion: You should come visit my home airport, RDU someday. It's very nice here.

      I do have a few DFW spotting videos coming up. Sadly, I don’t connect in Dallas as much as I used to. And since I don’t live in Dallas, I can only get footage when I connect there. But, I got some on my last trip, which I suspect I will post sometime in the next few weeks. As for RDU. I have been there before, and you can find that content if you search for “Skylite Productions RDU.” I’ve flown Alaska Airlines into Raleigh-Durham, back when they were in the midst of the Virgin America merger. In fact the aircraft was still wearing the Virgin America livery. I’ve also flown an American MD-80 out of RDU.

    I had never noticed until this video that there is only one plane line (for a 737) at DAL, for the SWA gates anyway. Most places, like DFW, have numerous lines painted on the parking spots for the front wheels of the various types of planes. Guess you don't need that at the SWA gates at DAL. :)

    You don't realize how massive the DFW metro area is until you watch the takeoff and climb--it wasn't until 15 minutes into the climb that suburban lights began to diminish to nothing--your camera does a good job with night flights but seemingly as with all digital models,it can't capture low lighting from on high--interesting on final approach,it looks black as if there is nothing out there but I'm sure the lighting level was much more than we can view here. Undoubtedly the last flight for the day from Love Field so the interior is quiet. Landing at TUL in the late evening,what time did you arrive home,exhausted? I do quibble about your flight time though,no way it takes 2+hrs for a DAL-TUL flight!

      I allow people to use small parts of my videos as long as credit is given and it's posted with the original link to the full video. I do not allow people to download, and then re-upload, my content. So it depends on what you mean by "repost" your video.

      He flys to keep the channel alive lol, but yeah that’s the answer

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 года назад +3

      Years ago, when I started this channel, I flew a lot because I was working for American Airlines and I could fly for free. Naturally, I travelled a lot because I enjoy traveling and it was free. I started recording the flights because I love commercial aviation and I wanted to be able to share them with other people. I’m one of those weird people who actually enjoys flying, and often times I’m more excited about the journey than the actual destination. Anyways, I left American not long after I started the channel, and since then, most of the flying you see on here is done purely to get the footage so I can continue to upload. I do not work for any of the airlines, I do not travel for work, and no this channel is not my “job.” Although, it does take up full-time job hours every week. My regular full-time job is airport operations and aircraft rescue fire fighting related. The fire fighting aspect of the job gives me the time required to keep this channel alive. I work 3 1/2 days per week, and I am off 3 1/2 days per week. If I had a regular Monday through Friday schedule, I would not be able to upload videos every day of the week. So, this channel has basically become a second full-time job, that I lose money on. Since I don’t work for any of the airlines, and I don’t travel for work, everything you see on my channel is paid for out of my own pocket. As for your other question, I’m actually based in Joplin Missouri. Tulsa is just the next closest airport. And since Joplin only has flights to one destination, it gets kind of boring taking that flight over and over again. So I fly out of Tulsa or Kansas City a lot to change things up. Hopefully that shed some light on to my channel. I appreciate you being a follower for so long, and I hope you have a great flight!

      @@sla31 What a wonderful reply! I have watched enough to know you are from Joplin/Tulsa.
      The fact you are a first responder is even more excellent. I imagine I'm not the only one that appreciated you kept us in the "virtual" air when we couldn't fly b/c of covid.
      I am off to KATL for the first time in over a year to Renaissance Concourse Hotel with airport runway room views in a couple weeks.
      So your friend above Aviator Gamer was right :)

      I call it my blackout setup. My camera is in a black case, and I wear long sleeve black shirts, with black gloves, and black headphones. Essentially, everything that would reflect is covered in black. And we all know that black absorbs all light waves. Which means, there is no light reflecting off my arm, hand and camera to reflect. I essentially deny the light a path to the window haha.

    aaww no cockpit shot as you are boarding ?? *pouts*

    • @sla31
      @sla31  3 года назад +1

      No, I do not typically show the cockpit. Mainly because most of my flights are just regular every day flights, mostly filled with people who are just trying to get from point A to point B. Flights that need to leave on time, and I don’t generally want to take up the flight crews time when they are trying to complete their preflight duties. Occasionally, on special flights, I will show the cockpit if it’s easily accessible.
