    I hear ZDP189 is tempered at 150c easy to hit that with powered sharpeners. Cool Videos.

      ooh! Thanks for mentioning this. The www.hitachi-metals.co.jp/e/yss/search/zdp189.html says tempering at 100-150°C.

    Awesome vids! Love the info'!! Hard to justify tho with small hobby type knifework!! I notice a variety of machine makes in your videos. Reason? Re theCBN wheels. Are they available with 16mm-(5/8) bore? And, where can I find the price of them?

    I still feel like the very tip of the edge on any grinding system is going to be burnt to a crisp. Manual stones are the only way you should be able to not burn the edge at all. Also

    I can't find a a slow speed grinder in the UK (240V) Any Ideas? I'd love to buy these CBN Wheels, supports and paste, but can not find a grinder to run them on :(
