Hyundai have launched the Elantra in the US with lots of technologies packed into the car compared to its Indian counterpart. such as Lane Keep Assist, Smart Cruise Control and Lane Change Assist. Now I know that demanding for such features in the India spec version would seem really naive and stupid considering the road infrastructure here and the way we Indians drive. But some basic tech such as Blind Spot Assist or Tyre Pressure Monitoring System would have been much appreciated.
The auto boot release when you stand next to the boot will not work if the car is not locked and that too it will only work after the car has been locked for about 30 seconds. In the video, the car is clearly not locked as the front map lights are switched on. In the elantra, all the map lights irrespective of having been switched on manually or not is switched off once you lock the car. So obviously the boot release function won't work :) @AutocarIndia
Bhai 1.4 crdi engine is enough to glide through city signals and 1.6 is more than enough, you won't even use the whole 1.6 crdi in India lol, 1.8 me gaade udaoge kya?
Although resembles cars of other manufacturers in certain aspects ( mainly due to the designer being an ex of a luxury car manufacturer ), i really feel the car looks stunning and seems built to a cost.Glad that hyundai is improving upon the dynamics.

I love my 2014 Elantra but two things that absolutely suck - 1) the lights for driving at night are just not powerful enough. Even my rapid has better light options 2) the stereo system is so bad. Terrible is the word. And 1993 graphics too. Rest it's great great especially for highway driving
I like the way Renuka shows us the auto boot feature is not upto the mark. Well elantra looks good but as always reliability of suspensions and overall car post 40k kms is a concern for Hyundai. Toyota is no doubt the more stable and strong car. I was wondering when will we get to see the all new Pajero Sport and Fortuner reviews?
I would say she is doing a fine job as per the Autocar standards. Its just that India automobile sector is not exciting enough to showcase any more like it was in olden days. We are just getting cars here which are similar looking to previous models and nothing exciting comes up. The only thing which goes up is the price of the next model including the ever growing taxes.
companies don't prefer to do that for normal sedans... tire rotation could be done only between right and left, front and back independently...that really increases the price when you look at cost of ownership later. I only remember the recent corvette doing it. It looks cool though :)

Other manufacturers may build superior cars but people buy what they buy ...it does not matter that the ubik uno or one plus 3 are much more efficient people will still buy iphones.

All I want to say is - "We won't SHAKE HAND with these Fluidic 2.0" 😏
An executive sedan, and the diesel version still cant match the Cruze's engine which is disputably termed as "The Diesel Rocket." I think Hyundai should up the power for their diesel engines, I mean they continue using their same engine from Verna and up their product range. C'mon Hyundai enough of economy of scale!
The interiors are not good at all...I don't know why that was not told on the show...it may be of good quality...but it has to have that luxury feeling once you sit in the car....you are paying a good price for the car...the interiors needs improvement....
