This is the mall where Hanson had one of their first appearances outside of Oklahoma. They were shocked to find a mall full of fans waiting for them. Every Hanson fan knows this mall.
Great video and Paramus Park seems different from other cookie cutter malls. It has light and skylights and different design (much like CHerry HIll Mall.) It's interesting one mid size city can support TWO Macys. This one was A&S and the original from the arly 50s is at Garden State Plaza, the original Bambergers. This seems like a more managable mall. You can easily walk this mall and it has a unique shape and design. Love the turkey statue and the food court (think New Jersey's first Chick FIl A opened there.) You go to Garden State, make a wrong turn and end up in Albequerque. I only go to Garden State because it has Nordstroms. IF anything opening Stew Leonards will bring more people to Paramus Park. Stew has groupies who now don't have to go to Westchester or Connecticut for that pricey grocery store. And its mechanical cow. Keep up the good work.
Spot the difference (extremely long): 0:22 I'm not saying for certain, but it's possible Old Navy might close here considering that there's one other location at the same town and they're planning to open another store at a bigger mall. 0:35 That's Steak N' Shake's failed attempt at opening in NJ 0:48 Kay Jewelers is gone 1:10 Abercrombie & Fitch closed 1:25 Native Spirit moved 1:26 tcby is no longer at the mall 2:01 H&M closed 2:14 Love Culture closed 2:23 boubou closed. It was replaced by Fillogic, a venue where you return Amazon packages 2:30 New York & Company liquidated all their stores 2:38 Hollister closed 2:45 Journeys is now open 2:51 Charming Charlie is replaced by Versona 3:03 Aldo and Justice are closed 3:11 Go toys + games is closed 3:38 Charlotte Russe has closed. Fashion 5 opened in the same space but has since closed 4:18 Buddy's Sports Corner moved where FYE used to be 6:30 Urban Coalhouse is gone 7:18 Tess Morgan closed 8:10 Dough Life closed and a leggings store has taken up that space 8:41 That vending machine isn't there anymore 8:49 Books-a-Million closed 9:42 Auntie Anne's and Street Corner closed. The space to the right of Auntie Anne's is now a health clinic. 10:08 Bourbon Street, Sarku Japan, and Sbarro closed 11:17 Taco Bell, Burger King, and Master Wok closed 12:51 Clarks has closed and Native Spirit moves into the same space 13:06 The store next to Yankee Candle has closed 13:34 Wetzel's Pretzels opened in the space next to Mahtani 13:58 Custom T's is now where crazy 8 used to be 14:05 that Auntie Anne's also closed 14:29 Gap closed and Ulta Beauty soon opened there 14:31 Talbots now takes up Gymboree's space. Custom T's moved to a smaller space 14:43 The space next to Custom T's is now the Paper Store. GNC closed while Uniqlo opened. 15:11 Gamestop and Payless have closed. Buddy's moved to the opposite wing of the mall. The Buddy's and Payless spaces will become a new salon. 15:19 Stew Leonard's is now an anchor. This is probably the best venue for the mall as that is what mainly helps the mall sustain itself *Lots of store closures but also some good store openings, especially Uniqlo and Stew Leonard's. Hopefully, the mall owners are able to fill up the empty venues with more sustainable stores.
It’s so nice to see a mall not afraid of a splash of color. It gives the eye something to see. Something nice. It’s also great to see a successful property filled with lots of shoppers. I’ve got nothing much to say here but, well done.
Raw and Real Retail these videos you film of Jersey malls are great cause they make me feel like I'm in a Jersey mall again and remind me of what I had to do to get to them by taking the train and bus it makes me feel like I did that all over again seeing these videos. If not for these videos you filmed of Jersey malls I would probably never get to see a Jersey mall again because traveling is just so restricted right now because of covid and you never know when you'll be able to travel again.
The food court section seems pretty empty now that half the tenants are vacant, including the former bookstore. Hopefully, the mall could get more food options.
I love it when they keep a fountain.
Worked here in the 90’s. Always proud to have been part of The Rouse Company. Best company ever. Go Paramus Park.
Hell yeah, bro!

That's correct. Iwas there trying to buy food from Master Wok and the mall was jammed pack with their followers.

I totally love thoughtful comments like this. Thanks Mark!
My favorite mall in Paramus. Every week, me and my family use to go there after playing some games at SportsWorld on Rte 17 in the 1990's.
Excellent to know. Very much looking forward on seeing it from you in the near future.

Entertaining video. Thanks.
big fan keep it up
My main mall, doomie sent me here
Hello again,
Would you be interested on revisiting the Paramus Park Mall and do another walkthrough video for 2021?
I am quite interested as a matter of fact. The summer is coming up and it is on our short list!
The food court section seems pretty empty now that half the tenants are vacant, including the former bookstore. Hopefully, the mall could get more food options.
Sounds like this one is in need of an update video soon.
@@RawRealRetail Definitely, but on the bright side, there are some new tenants that came, especially in the area where sears used to be.
Jim Rouse was a god among men. We are not worthy.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It was good, until they took out FYE AND BOOKS-A- MILLION.
