Hi, on the offchance your still receiving notifications for comments on this build, I'm building 2 of the units and noticed that the Detector Purchasing List mentions 2.5kohm ferrite bead for L2, but the Digikey part is for a 1kohm, while the PCB populating list Digikey part No is for a 2.5kohm one. which is correct? also how critical is the tolerance on this part as 2.2kohm are freely available while the 2.5kohm is harder to get
@@SacredOwl The scintillator I believe was found on ebay. The SiPM chip and amplifiers were from digikey. The rest was from Amazon. And I didn't bother getting the PCB made. Im just settling with a simple breadboard. As for the case, I have not decided yet. I'll probably just 3d print it.

One of the best instructional videos found on RUclips.
Congratulations.
Thanks for creating this project, I'm using it for my physics undergrad senior project!
Hi Victor! How did your senior project turn out? Were you able to construct a working muon detector?

Where can I buy detector assemblies from MIT?
What type of plastic scintillator is it?
from where can I get the code for master and slave separitely ?
I want to build one. Where do I get the parts from?
@@SacredOwl
Update: I already got the parts. Just have to spend time building it. Im more than half way done.

@@BYMYSYD How have you got on with the build?
Can we use it with a cubesat to measure the rate of muons in low earth orbit ?
There woud almost be none, so you could do it, but dont get much results.
Yes as this will also pick up most other elementary particles aswell. I am currently doing this experiment
Could i buy the muon detector? would you sell me it?
Can you work with First Nations of Canada? We are trying to find the graves of all of our missing children and the cost of scans is delaying this
hell no

That wouldn’t require you to leak any personal information.
cool
Am I first one here after minute physics?
There is an MP video on this? Cool!
