Way Excellent for nothing more than content alone. He's passionate about books, story telling and advancing the human spirit. Barry Deitz, I hope your still out there. You get a Big Fat WTG!
Outstanding hour to merely listen, think, enjoy & appreciate another human being’s outlook on our lives, our holidays, our culture, and the simplest pleasures in our lives & times, spanning the pantheon of America’s 245 years, and especially during the past 18o years of life despite my small part of it.
This man is a terrific orator!!!’ I miss my chats and what a treat it was to listen to this biography of the story a Christmas Carol a definite treat that everyone should hear😊😊😊😊😊❤️🥰🥰
Two of the favourite "Chrismas Carol " films in the U.K are with Alastair Sim ( 1951 ) and Albert Finny ( 1970 ) ,Patrick Stewart also made the film in 1999 .An excellent talk by the way , a very enjoyable hour 🇬🇧
Edgar Allen Poe was a big admirer of Dickens...Poe sent Dickens some of his stories.which Dickens liked..when Dickens and his wife toured America, dickens and Poe met.they shared a friendly conversation
Kids and booze.... in the Alistair Sim Christmas Carol, the Cratchit's had two rounds of GIN PUNCH.... for the kids! No wonder Tiny Tim was in such bad shape.
Wow. Such a well-structured lecture and delivered magnificently. Not a wasted word. An hour that flew by.
Brilliant… Barry Deitz is the epitome of “A Christmas Carol”….. I am wiser & so much more informed on this amazing story…..thank you for sharing

Excellent!
Fantastic!
This was outstanding. Does anyone know if Mr. Dietz has posted any other lectures or commentary?
Very well done and enthusiastic information.
I loved the presentation and I love the work of Charles Dickens. Berry's presentation style reminds me of Jerry Clower's presentation style.
He made me cry at the end. Dammit !
More than half a century ago, my great aunt gave me egg yolk with vermouth because I suffered from bad health.
I read the Christmas Carol every year. Just prior to Christmas Day.
I wonder what Dickens thought of Mark Twain and Edgar Allan Poe. Great presentation.

I like A Christmas Carol, but I can’t get through any of his other novels. I prefer American fiction.
One could update it to the present
With the welfare state!
What is your point? One sentence discourse is not every effective.
Very lazy comment.
Fantastic!
