Have you tried starting the Neptune launch platform right before deactivating? You're about 130m down before entering and it takes about 30s to build the platform. Might save a couple seconds, not sure.

There is a way to glide in the prawnsuit! you have to make a macro so when you press and hold it, it mashes the space bar (faster than any human could do), you dont use any "airjettime" or whatever that's called

my first playthrough took 60 hours lol Lots of micromanaging and base building though :^) And being scared of Warpers, and they fucked me up all the time
mine took 36 but unfortunately already knew a lot of the game (basically seen a playthrough) so I didnt have as much fun exploring as I wish Id had, thats also the only weakness of the game in my opinion (besides the glitches) that it has basically no worth in playing through once again, but thats also the stuff i love about it (exploring the story by random story pieces you find, theorizing about it, finding new stuff etc.)
Just something simple like randomly scrambling the biomes and then placing the cave systems under that could make replayability a lot more appealing. Even if the game gets janky as fuck and looks weird if that happens i still think people who have beaten the game already would think it was nice :) Best part about the game is stocking up for a travel and that fucking great feeling you get when you come prepared for a tricky situation. The same kinda feeling you get when you carry a huge backpack on a camping trip and suddenly need some random shit in your backpack :^)
My first playthrough was a little over 40 hours and I went pretty much blind into the game. Subnautica is definitely one of my favorite games that I've played :) Also, the only run that got ruined by something like a warper is one of my glitchless runs. The seadragons down in the lava zone can literally one shot you. Everytime I was swimming down there, I was shitting my pants not only because it was spooky, but also because it's like an hour into the run which makes dying a really painful experience.
@@liamdalemon1525 they have been a thing since the game launched, so yeah. people run creative. there's a guy who has 1000+ attempts on creative any%, which is a 7 minute run

Deconstructing/reconstructing a hatch while your base is flooded gives you the super seaglide, which makes you go really fast
