I just want to say thank you for making this video ! I was a little nervous booking as my parents both said it's dangerous in Mexico but I'm sure everything will be fine.. you video made me feel better about my decision ❤️
Thank you so much for watching my video on Cancun and for leaving such a kind comment. I'm thrilled to hear that my video has helped to ease some of your worries about traveling to Mexico. While there are always risks associated with travel, including in Mexico, Cancun is generally considered a safe destination for tourists. Just like in any other place, taking basic precautions such as being aware of your surroundings, avoiding unlit or unfamiliar areas, and keeping your valuables secure is important. I hope you have a wonderful trip to Cancun and make many unforgettable memories. I appreciate your support, and happy travels!
It’s not as bad as they say! I went a few years ago with a few friends which none spoke Spanish but it was a breeze just get transportation with the airport and don’t leave the strip after hours
One thing I would recommend about hotel bracelets. This might not be available to all hotels, but when they are placing that bracelet on your wrist, have them place it on loose. If so, you'll be able to take it off or on, just remember not to lose it and place it back whenever you're coming back to the hotel.
@@nunayobiznass Because I don’t want to shower and sleep with it. Also, if you go outside, that can also be a marker for locals to know you’re a tourist.
@@nunayobiznass although for me, 20% is for the tourist marker. Most of it is just too gross for me to keep on me for the duration of the trip. You sweat on it, you swim with it, dirt/debris get on it… etc. Sometimes the bracelet can be a little fancy and it would be hard to clean it.

We hope that you have a wonderful time exploring all that this beautiful country has to offer. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. Have a great trip!
At close to the 10:23 mark you show a magnificent (?mall?) What is the name of it please? My wife and I will be traveling there in April/may of 2023 for the first time, and I would love to see that place in person!
When my sister and I went to cuba we planned for $20 a day. We didn't realize that was way "too much" according to my family but we felt for the service we received, it was minimal tip. Our fridge had everything and they even gave us a few extra big bottles lol
And? Isn’t it their job to provide a good service? If I want to help someone I will give a donation, not a tip. Tipping is the most non sense thing and I hate when people think they are entitled to a tip… you are just doing your job and you are being payed for it. I don’t care if it is cultural, In my country it is also cultural for men to not compliment women they don’t know, calling them sweet baby and whatever and do it in the Caribbean. If you don’t respect my culture I will also not respect your - and don’t act as if tourists did not support most of those countries economies. I will go to the Caribbean again, but after a terrible experience in the Dominican Republic, I don’t fell any sympathy for people in these countries which are just lazy expecting to be tipped and treating the tourists like sh**
My wife and I traveled to Cancun a long time ago when you could still climb the steps of the pyramid at Chichen Itza and it cost $0.15 to get in. We and our friends haggled with all the cab drivers before we went anywhere, although we rented a car to drive back to Chichen Itza. Why don't you recommend that people haggle with the cab drivers? It was par for the course back then. You establish a price before you get in. Also you are correct about tipping. It got us a lot and didn't cost us a lot.

Absolutely! Exiting the Cancun airport can be an overwhelming experience, especially with the numerous transportation and tour offers. The hustle and bustle, combined with the tropical heat, gives you an immediate taste of the city's vibrant energy. It's always a good idea to have your transportation pre-arranged or to be prepared for the lively welcome. Thanks for sharing your experience; it's a great heads-up for first-time visitors! As a Mexican I recommend that you come to Cancun and all the towns of Mexico cause there are many beautiful towns You should try to interact with the local people cause all Mexicans we're very friendly. the valuable thing about Cancun isn't amazing beaches is the MAYAN CULTURE so please try to know a little of this culture very important for us if you want know Mexico and not only the resorts.
Why should I, as a tourist try to please you lol? I am there for me, def not to please you. I went to the Dominican Republic and not I hate people in the caribbean
I enjoyed the Mayan museum and felt such a gratitude to be able to experience some of your cultural heritage through these experiences. I felt so much joy to finally see some of the archeological sites, try some foods like my favorite hibiscus tea, and see dancing as well as ceremony. Such an amazing ecosystem and environment and I have so much love and respect for Mexican people and the history for Mayan ancestors and culture. Gracias Edgar I wish I spoke Spanish so I could engage more with locals.
Sounds like a practical start to a trip in Cancún! Starting with essentials from a familiar place like Walmart can indeed help save costs, given that items like suntan lotion can sometimes be pricier at resorts or tourist-centric shops. After setting up for the stay, having a nice dinner out can set a positive tone for the rest of the trip. Thanks for the tip! 🌴🍽
I've just come back from Cancun, it riu palace peninsula hotel, very friendly staff and well supplied drinks, we done a couple of excursions, but felt a bit out of the way, we normally go to riviera Maya region which is much closer to everything. In an all inclusive hotel we were tipping around 50 pesos if the service was excellent, 20 pesos if it was ok and a couple of times nothing as our table wasn't cleared between dishes and didn't get our drinks refilled and had to ask eventhough it was sometimes just water. We tipped the maid several times throughout the 2 weeks holiday

We just got back. Our hotel provided rapid Covid tests for $20. You have to show your negative Covid test results (the hotel testing Co emails you the results) at the airport, to the ticketing agent.
Thank you for your appreciation of the video! The rules can vary regarding your question about flying a drone below 250g in Cancun. Generally, drones below 250g have fewer restrictions, but it's always best to check Mexico's latest local regulations and drone laws before flying. As for recommending a guide, I'm sorry, but I cannot recommend any specific guides. I suggest looking for reputable local tour operators or travel forums where you might find recommendations from other travelers. Safe travels, and enjoy your trip to Cancun

Hello! Great video. I have a few questions: Is it good to travel during Nov ? I will be going there around Thanksgiving. Should i convert my usd to pesos/ tips in usd or pesos?? . Do you know if the all inclusive hotels do things for u around or on your birthday? Thanks in advance!
Hello! Thank you for your kind words. Here are some answers to your queries: Traveling in November: November is a good time to visit Cancun. The weather is pleasant, and it's just before the peak holiday season, so you find fewer crowds. Currency and Tips: While many places in Cancun accept USD, it's often better to use pesos as you might get a more favorable exchange rate. As for tips, either currency is accepted, though locals might appreciate pesos slightly more. Make sure to carry smaller denominations for convenience. Birthday Celebrations in All-Inclusive Hotels: Many all-inclusive hotels in Cancun offer special arrangements or little gestures for birthdays. It's best to inform them in advance about your special day. Some might offer room upgrades, complimentary cakes, or even special dinners. I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip, and have a fantastic birthday celebration! 😊🌴
Hey, love your video. I am planning on going for two weeks next month and i want to bring my drone. It's a micro dji mini 3 pro.. under 250 grams. Wondering if i will have any issues with bringing\ flying my drone while I'm there?
I’ve been to Cancun many times and never had issues with the water. Most of the all inclusive resorts have water filtration systems. Think of all the ice they use in cocktails at their bars. If everyone was getting sick, they’d have no business.
Thanks for sharing your experience! You make a good point. Many of the all-inclusive resorts in Cancun indeed have advanced water filtration systems to ensure the safety and well-being of their guests. It's always good for travelers to do their research and choose reputable resorts. Still, for those venturing outside of these resorts, it's always a good idea to be cautious. Cheers to many more safe and enjoyable trips to Cancun! 🌴🍹 #SafeTravels
Hey, you will find them just about around every corner the pharmacies, and at any significant street you find them too just type in farmacias into your google maps when you are down here it will show you all the closest ones to you
@@TravelDroner I was there last year in the downtown area and there wasn't that many. I want the ones similar to Cozumel where they are not corporate stores they are small unbranded.

Love this video! Saving it! Question about getting to Tulum from Cancun. Do you recommend taking a bus or taxi? Is there Uber in Cancun? What's the cheapest way to get to Tulum from Cancun?
@@TravelDroner do you have to purchase the tickets in advanced? Also do they have a website that shows the schedule throughout the day? I appreciate the quick reply!
there is no Uber in Cancun unfortunately, they were banned because the local transportation took a big hit since they overcharge tourists and Uber was not able to do so. its crazy how laws work but in a way its ok because if it was always cheap, tourists would just swarm the beaches and the locals (or mexicans in general) wouldnt be able to enjoy their own land because of the displacement
Just ran into your video. First of all great video. My family and I are debating on our vacation next April. Cancun and Playa Carmen ate on the list. Which is better for adults? I just subscribed to your channel.
Welcome to the channel both are good choices Playa del carmen is a smaller version of a Mexican tourist town with more Europeans both have equally good things to do and see Cancun you have more shopping centers and more of everything since it is about 3x the size of Playa
hello, nice and very informative video. i would like to go with a buddy of mine to cancun (novembar 2022). what would u recommend for us we are 26-27 years old. we would like to see the City. going partying, sport activities. eating local food (are the prices high in the restaurantas? should we look out?)is it worth to get then a hotel or better a appartement? in what area should we stay? should we get a hotel or a airbnb? what is the better option in your opinion? many thanks :-) and keep up the great videos on RUclips
Hey, I would go with an all-inclusive resort here. You can venture out into downtown for local food, and to the party mile in the hotel zone at night the busses are suitable for moving around between hotel zone and downtown, and as for pricing, there is something for every budget available here from the 10 pesos tacos to the 20 dollar tacos you decide where to eat them
Can you please give me some tip prices? With an all inclusive resort, are we to tip our airport driver? I understand tipping at the restaurant by percentage, but what is a normal good tip to give maid and waiters in the resort?
The airport driver, if he helps you with your luggage and is friendly, why not tip him sure, for the maid, I would leave her a bigger tip in the room on my last day for the whole time she cleaned and took care of your room waiters at resorts 1-2 dollars is up to you how you feel with the service you get I would keep a lot of small dollar bills for daily use with service providers you interact at your resort.
👍 I concur with Travel Droner. That's best time to go. I'll be there myself this coming Jan & renting a jet ski 🎿. Would not do that if the water was cold
Okay so I’m staying at Suites Malecón, I’m going next month. It’s on the road of the hotel zone but it’s not in the hotel zone. What do you recommend my husband and I to use for travel at night… for instance, if we’re out at a bar or club and need to get back to the hotel at night? Thank you in advance. 💙
Hello! It sounds like you're planning an exciting trip to Cancun. Safety is of utmost importance for getting around at night, especially after a night out. The bus system in Cancun is quite reliable, operates 24/7, and is indeed one of the cheapest methods of transport. However, do note that there might be more comfortable or quickest options, especially late at night. Alternatively, Uber is operational in Cancun, and many tourists find it to be a convenient option. It's typically safe, but there have been occasional disputes between Uber drivers and local taxi services, so be aware. In any case, always make sure to verify the identity of your driver and the vehicle before getting in. It's also a good idea to share your live location with someone you trust. I hope this helps and you have a fantastic time in Cancun. Enjoy your trip! 💙
Hello, it's important to note that taxis at the airport can sometimes have higher prices compared to other transportation options. Using a shuttle bus or arranging a pickup with the hotel shuttle are great alternatives to consider, as they can often provide more affordable transportation options. Additionally, it's worth mentioning that ride-hailing services like Uber may not be available for pickups directly at the airport due to local regulations or restrictions. This is important for travelers to remember when considering their transportation options. Thank you for you comment
Hello thanks the cheapest way would be by ADO Bus to get to downtown you can buy the tickets inside the airport I can not recommend any transfer company thanks for watching
Hello, yes and no. It all depends on where you are heading. Picking you up from the airport, for example, is not possible, or picking you up from your resort; the taxi drivers won't allow that. So it is a delicate situation with Uber. Even if they are legal now operating here, the taxi drivers are still causing chaos, and fights with them, including passengers, have been beaten up, so be careful.
@@youseennothing8432 You can ask for the hotel shuttle bus to drive you or a local bus if you don't want to use a taxi you can try Uber bus it is a hit or miss they might not even show up
I am traveling this December with my family. Do they have Uber there to get to downtown Cancun or go to Cenotes? Is it best to book tours instead of going on our own if we don’t have a car?
Hello, you are better off buying a tour with transportation included is your best choice and don't use Uber in Cancun, or you might find yourself in an uncomfortable situation if you are confronted by taxi drivers who don't like Uber at all and harras them and their passengers, so you better stay away from both.
I would tip for sure at a restaurant, so yes, but at a local shop, if you buy something, then NO, don't tip they are already making a profit on what they are selling
Dear Travel Droner, is it safe using ADO from Cancun DT to Chiquila (For Holbox travel)? If so, does one have to reserve the tickets ahead of time or can they be bought the day of? Also, what shuttle services that can be booked online would you recommend?
Hello, you can reserve your tickets online here www.ado.com.mx/ I would check local news first before going as they are some disputes and blocking of roads going on right now there.
Hey, thanks for your question I would have a lot of small-dollar bills for the bartenders and other staff and the resort and would leave a bigger tip to the cleaning lady of my room at the end of the vacation and leave it in the room.
"Hi there! It's generally safe to travel alone in Cancun as long as you take some basic precautions, such as avoiding unlit areas at night and not leaving your belongings unattended. That being said, it's always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings and stay alert, especially in tourist areas where pickpocketing and other petty crimes can occur. Regarding public transportation from the airport to downtown Cancun, Yes the ADO bus is the one that runs regularly and is relatively affordable you can book it right in the terminal it is about 10 dollars I think.
thank you so much for the information! can you also pay in the bus? I will not have a car during my stay and I will just move with the bus, there's any another kind of transportation?

Seaweed in Cancun can arrive throughout the year as a result of the movement of currents in the Sargasso Sea, but its presence is greater in the warmer months between March, April, May, and June. This is due to the formation of sargassum and the constant movement of the same increased by changes in the sea caused by global warming and pollution of the oceans, causing the macroalgae to arrive in large quantities.
hi, many countries are starting electronic travel authorisations etc like before arrival people need to get or do online authorization from immigration, does mexico have anything like that? it just got me worried. i know fmm forms are gone. anything latest updates?
Coming from a country where you don't usually tip unless you are going to a nice restaurant or want to be really, really polite, how much would you say is a *low tip, normal tip and high tip* for hotel staff in Cancun or just Mexico in general? Also how often is one supposed to tip hotel staff (for example: for the hotel maid)? The last thing I would ever want to do is to offend people in a foreign country, so I do not want to be "cheap" or rude, but I am also kind of spending all of my savings to go across the globe, so *I would just like to know beforehand what to expect* . For food I understand it is 10% and it is universal, but when you technically don't have to pay for the service you can't do math with 0 or at least I can't because I have no experience in this. That's why I'm asking and I hope someone will answer :D
@@TravelDroner When my husband and I stay at any hotel we tip the maid everyday and leave notes if we need anything extra. By doing this we’ve always had excellent service throughout our stay.
Hey, Cancun has many great restaurants I would suggest you go downtown, away from the tourist crowds, and go to BOVINOS, one of the best meals you will ever have if you want to stick to the tourist places, the Hotel zone is full of restaurants for every taste from cheap tacos to expensive high-class food stay away from the strip clubs is my advice or you might run into trouble being charged horrendous prices as a tourist or worse for bars your best bet is the party mile in the Hotel zone there is the party all night, and I'm sure you will find some senorita with a margarita you can swing a lap with her back in your room :)
It depends what kind of food they want and where they are staying here a few in the hotel zone you can check out Harry's steakhouse, Hlios(greek) ,porfirios(Mexican) Puerto Madero (Argentinian) and 100s more take reservations
Is flying a sub 250gram drone as a tourist a problem at the resorts/ along the beach. I couldn’t find a clear yes or no within the laws for that small of a drone but would love local input.

Yes that is an option in some resorts thanks for watching
Why would you want to take it off?
@@nunayobiznass Because I don’t want to shower and sleep with it. Also, if you go outside, that can also be a marker for locals to know you’re a tourist.
@@bpo4736 I thought the tourist thing was the reason just checking
@@nunayobiznass although for me, 20% is for the tourist marker. Most of it is just too gross for me to keep on me for the duration of the trip. You sweat on it, you swim with it, dirt/debris get on it… etc. Sometimes the bracelet can be a little fancy and it would be hard to clean it.
As a solo I will be traveling very carefully at Cancun. Shuttle booked and i dont hangabout in the area after arrivals.
Thanks! Heading back there for my fourth time soon. Def doing Xcaret again and Isla Mujeres this time.

When my sister and I went to cuba we planned for $20 a day. We didn't realize that was way "too much" according to my family but we felt for the service we received, it was minimal tip. Our fridge had everything and they even gave us a few extra big bottles lol
👍
Where did you stay?
You mean 20$ for hotels with meals?
$20/day just in tips? That's crazy

Day 1... go downtown to the walmart and buy water, suntan lotion etc. Breakfast, lunch or snack foods. Go eat dinner someplace nice.
How much are those items in Walmart so you remember
@@anthonyforde2772 better than you get elsewhere. But inflation recently has changed everything so i dont know anymore.
How do u bring sun screen when you aren't allowed to bring why kinda creams/lotions
You are permitted to bring that item, but not as carry-on luggage. It can be stored without any issues in your checked baggage.

Amazing information Can you pls advice if Travellers can fly drone below 250G. Also can you advice for a guide!
Thank you for your appreciation of the video! The rules can vary regarding your question about flying a drone below 250g in Cancun. Generally, drones below 250g have fewer restrictions, but it's always best to check Mexico's latest local regulations and drone laws before flying. Hello! Thank you for your kind words. Here are some answers to your queries:
Traveling in November: November is a good time to visit Cancun.

Many of the all-inclusive resorts in Cancun indeed have advanced water filtration systems to ensure the safety and well-being of their guests. there is no Uber in Cancun unfortunately, they were banned because the local transportation took a big hit since they overcharge tourists and Uber was not able to do so. its crazy how laws work but in a way its ok because if it was always cheap, tourists would just swarm the beaches and the locals (or mexicans in general) wouldnt be able to enjoy their own land because of the displacement

So where can I find the afforable taxis when I arrive at the airport?
Hello, it's important to note that taxis at the airport can sometimes have higher prices compared to other transportation options. Using a shuttle bus or arranging a pickup with the hotel shuttle are great alternatives to consider, as they can often provide more affordable transportation options.
Additionally, it's worth mentioning that ride-hailing services like Uber may not be available for pickups directly at the airport due to local regulations or restrictions. This is important for travelers to remember when considering their transportation options.
Thank you for you comment
This was really helpful thank you! What website can we book the shuttle from the airport to our stay? (We're not at a hotel but an airbnb). Thanks!

Very informative, but how's the weather in October?
Facts im planning on going in October getting my passport soon first time on a plane I'm nervous
Hello, the weather is still a little humid but not as hot as in the summer months of November, and forward it cools down a little
@@TravelDroner is it raining?
@@rosariogz7114 No unless we have a hurricane or storm
What a beautiful day, it looks lovely!! Awesome walk 👍❤❤ Greeting from IRAN 🇮🇷
Thanks for watching greetings from Cancun
How’s Cancun’s weather/seedweed by may 20th-30th?
Weather is good seaweed is not predictable it depends on many things
Hello, the lowest is 10% Highest I would say 25% for your maid just leave her a good tip at the end of your stay in your room thanks for watching
@@TravelDroner oh, ok! Thanks for all the insight! :)
@@IceCrystalWolf 😎👍
@@TravelDroner When my husband and I stay at any hotel we tip the maid everyday and leave notes if we need anything extra. By doing this we’ve always had excellent service throughout our stay.
Going next month. Any restaurants you recommend? Also, any good bars ? Or strip clubs
My mom will be celebrating her birthday in April any restaurants that you recommend that take reservations?
It depends what kind of food they want and where they are staying here a few in the hotel zone you can check out Harry's steakhouse, Hlios(greek) ,porfirios(Mexican) Puerto Madero (Argentinian) and 100s more take reservations
Thank you so much for the reply what about seafood restaurants we will be at the zona hotelera
@@Jmlopify puerto madero has seafood too very good one it is one of my favorites on the list Puerto Madero or fred's seafood market
@@TravelDroner thank you thank you thank you!
@@Jmlopify you welcome
Is flying a sub 250gram drone as a tourist a problem at the resorts/ along the beach. I couldn’t find a clear yes or no within the laws for that small of a drone but would love local input.
You shouldn't have any issue flying it just don't fly it over resort property or you get in trouble with the security guys of the hotel thanks for watching
@@TravelDroner Have Mexico government changed the rule for a sub 250g drone? I read online that no tourist is allow to fly a drone in Mexico, it has to be register, but registration is only for Mexican people.
@@samlouis7824 yes, that is correct with the registration of the drone, on the other hand, I doubt that the law is enforced here just fly responsibly with common sense.
