The one thing I've learned from starting RM is that our tanks are chronically low on Fluoride/Fluorine. 3 tests in and I am always dumping at least 100ml over days as a correction. I started to add 10ml every other week of it to keep it stable. It's a fun (all be it expensive) way of keeping a Reef tank.
Yes true already went through a bottle of fluoride! This whole dosing thing is new to me. It’s pretty cool to see the color up on corals and be partially responsible of its success lol
RMM doesn’t require WC’s. Top off is all that’s needed. I keep a small container of salt at the bottom of my sump to maintain my salinity. Keep it up and you’ll be growing sticks like crazy!
Can you elaborate on this "container of salt in your sump"? I run into an issue with slowly dropping salinity due to my automated testing setup removing water periodically and gets discarded as waste water. This adds up every few weeks resulting in lower salinity over time.
@@anthonylineberry so my wife buys plastic cups or tubs for leftovers and I used one to put dry salt in and then place it in a corner with good flow so when the salt dissolves it keeps my salinity up.
Little bit of luck and bad luck lol got him from a LFS eating well and all. After I got him realized the Idol eats REALLY well where if I don’t feed on time it will start snacking on coral 😒 I don’t feed anything special nori, mysis and brine.
Looking awesome 👏💯🔥👍
