Pixy is Belkan. From what used to be South Belka, in fact. He lost his family and became an orphan during a prior war with the Oseans, who razed his hometown. He was probably suffering a PTSD attack when he saw Hoffnung burn.
Dialogue like this gets cut because it ruins the current flow of the existing dialogue. The one in the Solg fight just ruins the mood of the fight in my opinion with too much dialogue when the music and your squadmates should be taking centre stage. The only one I think should’ve stayed is the Pixy one, because it’s actually important to the story
In a way, I kind of like how Pixy _doesn't_ explode during the destruction of Hoffnung. It gives an extra authenticity to the notion of abandoning hope, with him being largely silent during the mission representing the destruction of his hope that the war would be clean - No unnecessary destruction, no civilians hurt or killed. While it's not explicitly stated where Pixy's from, other than the generic _Belka,_ I suspect he either lived in, or was from, Hoffnung.
The pixy one is actually the worst??? If PJ had that meltdown I would buy it more since he's still green and naive. It is established by the game Pixy is the more jaded between the two: "Learn to accept it, kid. This is war." And if those lines had been from PJ, it would have had more emotional weight since it's even getting to the new guy.
@@bigmouthprick5852 I could see the line play depending on if the player plays as Knight/or what the other two runs are called. probebly Knight as that would mean that this is war but we will not Collateral we will allow the enemy to surrender and then haveing it all be so heartless broken by the bombers that dont care what they hit.
The fact that a lot of the unused generic lines for Grabacr and Ofnir are the same VA, along with the fact that they never got official Friendly/Enemy designations (instead just using a generic "System" identity makes me think they were placeholders for the actual VA's to use rather than intended to be the "final" draft, but when the lines got cut, they never bothered with dubbing over them
I love the AC4 references in Flicker Of Hope, even if timeline-wise that's not a thing yet P.S: F to Gordon who gave his mask to the kid. He's a real hero
I can see why these lines didn't make it in. However, the Razgriz chat about what they would do after the war and Grimm talking about why he joined, that was nice. And Nagase reminiscing about Davenport, that was powerful. Thanks for uploading this
I am so unbelievably glad they cut that line about Swordsman being a "failure of a captain" because holy fuck that is so painful to hear him say. That moment of chatter flying towards the SOLG is meant to be peaceful and hopeful but that line would have shit on that whole amazing moment
I kinda wish they kept the citizens cheering you on during the SOLG segment it was kinda cool to see the story finish of the Razgriz stuff considering the "returns as a great hero" part of the legend applying to Wardog isn't ever openly acknowledged in the story like the other parts are.
My headcanon is that Cipher married PJ's gf. PJ has promised her a happy life, be it with or without him., so after he died, she married Cipher to pay their respects to him. And guess who their child is? it's Trigger.
@@ethangavrilmoreno8479 Fun fact : in the fanfiction "The Demon's song" Blaze is Cipher's kid. And in "Three Strikes" (same author), Trigger is Pixy's kid.
I kinda do wish that some of these dialogues were used in the actual game. Something like the rescue team chatter in reprisal would have worked to amplify the chaos that's happening below rather than the little glimpses we had in the final version. I also find the civilians cheering for Razgriz to be a nice little touch if it was abit spaced out between the squad dialogue. I genuinely like the squad reflecting on themselves before the SOLG descends way better than what we got in the final version god it gives them so much more depth.
Sounds like Japanese translations that didn’t make sense or didn’t match the rating or otherwise didn’t make it in. Thanks for sharing, I did like some of the gas attack lines about the ground zero responders, terrifying and so on.
I remember seeing Heartbreak One in ACZ in one of the last few missions. Forget which, I was on mercenary style on Normal diff if that has anything to do with it.
Is there any way for a normal player emulating this to enable these lines? Some of them seem so good, and had no reason to be cut off. It made the impact of telling the story even better.

The Pixy part...hits hard. Shows how powerful Hoffnung itself was.

Honestly, I have to disagree. If they'd kept that line, it would show that even the most seasoned of pilots can have survivor's guilt.

Yeah.
Everyone talking about the "mobius one" reference and nobody talking about the "Edge and Slash" referencing Ace Combat 2's wingmen's monikers. Sad.
