Well, at least they didn't have to deal with Cloakers, Dozers, Snipers, Medics, or Turrets. And they had the opposite of a broke-dick, piece of shit drill. Props to the Loadouts too. High concealment and pure melee. They got both ATM's with stealth, escaped without being taken into custody once, and even managed to get a Joker. Although I don't think you can get Jokers in stealth. All jokes aside if OVERKILL put these guys in Payday 2 I think it would have been better than the H3H3 pack.

I am an ATM technician. The cash vendors and owners remove all cash before they are decommissioned. The hard drives in the computer are destroyed. And they are usually sent to scrap unless there are more models in the area that can use the parts. Some people go as far as to remove the current lock and replace it, Remove all the inner chest parts and everything off of the top and convert it into a safe for their home. Honestly i am surprised they even found $3.

My stepdad was a locksmith for 45 years and had acquired a convenience store safe when he changed locks on an old store. We popped it open and to our surprise there was around $120 in it.
This happened near where i live. I guess they were pros. What they did was they stole a truck then tied a rope to it and ripped atm out then dumped stolen truck.

So to better explain this, from the perspective of someone who worked at a gas station for years, here is what actually happens. Gas stations don't usually own the ATMs, they have contracts with companies that operate the ATMs for a fee. Basically, the ATM charges like $3 for each withdraw which goes to the owner of the ATM, and the ATM owner pays the gas station like $200 a month to keep the ATM there. Some of the sketchy gas stations don't have the kind of foot traffic to attract these kinds of deals, so they buy their own ATMs (usually several thousands of dollars). Unfortunately, sometimes these get too old to be compatible with modern systems, or they break, or other things happen to where the ATM is no longer usable. Here is the experience I had with this: The gas station I worked at (in Gary Indiana) owned it's own ATM, and one day it stopped working. Instead of getting someone to fix it, the owner of the gas station took all the money out, locked it up tight, jammed the lock with some paper clips, then sold it as "lost key and code, unknown contents" for $750 to some hopeful idiot. I guarantee this is the same case with ALL of those ATMs
Why I wouldn’t buy an abandoned atm: money is deducted and the money storage is depleted within a few days. By the moment someone realises the keys are gone, the cash is all gone. Why I would buy an abandoned atm: make a video about me trying to retrieve the few dollars inside and getting RUclips payment while selling merch and getting raycon sponsoring.

With Covid, nobody will think anything of you wearing a mask. Wear a mask. Hook the door to your truck with a chain and yank it off. For the ATM.. Step 1; put on gloves. Step 2; Slam a tow chain hook through the base, wrap it around the body once and clamp it tight. Step 3; Drag it, fast, down the road. They fall apart in under a block. Step 4; Grab the money box and go. Leave the chain, just go! Open the box when your out of the neighborhood. At least, that's what my friend told me.
No one would decommission an ATM without removing the money first. You guys should have hired a locksmith to make you keys and started your own ATM business.

I worked for a company that built ATM's. The safes were harden steal with 3 - 1 inch bars sliding into the frame to keep it in place. We had the company we built them for send one back to us. They had the keys but the door would not open. They wanted us to drop them off the dock too see what would happen. I was told they could hear grinding noises when powered up. When I got to it and powered up the noise was very familiar, the sound the cash accepter made when the cassette was out of place. Somewhere in transit it had moved forward. We set up several pallets covered with a few boxes for padding. Dropped it on it's back. That reset the cassette and we able to open the door. The ATMs we made had cash dispenser that had 3 boxes. Each having 2000 note capacity. Never had to break in one though, we did have one that the handle was hard too turn and had to be fixed but we got it open.
Just wanted clarify that you can put any bill IN an ATM but can only get $20 bills out of most unless it’s PNC which gives $50,$20, $10, and $1 bills. US bank gives $50s and $20s.

Its true. I happen to know this code, it's universal for all ATMs. I'm not telling though because then I would lose out on my infinite money cheat.
