Although player sponsorship has never affected any of my disc purchases or players I enjoy watching play, I can understand that many folks find it important. I keep waiting for sponsorship announcements that affect purse sizes so that far more pros can actually make a living that is at least as good as middle class laborers.
I have a feeling some players are going to be stuck until some of these smaller brands like Trash Panda or Scot Stokley's brand Stokley Discs have enough money to sponsor a player team. I also feel some like Gateway and other older brands as old as Gateway or older that have a full lineup but without a team may step in to have a team in the upcoming next few years if the situation does not improve next year. I could also see some bag only brands actually stepping up sponsorship to be a full time sponsor for players so they can be an open bag team. This is for the around 80 players from Hall of Discs buyout that could be displaced from the team due to cost cutting from the owner/group who owns these mostly European companies.
Do you think Prodigy discs is going under? I noticed even their website they are basically cutting the cost of every item they have by like 50-75% off. I do know its black friday week as well but this sale kind of seems like a liquidation?... Most of the local stores have stopped carrying prodigy as well. Lmk what you guys think about what is happening to prodigy?

This is all stupid speculation, but it would be wild if players got traded between brands like players on teams in pro sports. I'll trade you a Kyle Klein on a limited contract to sign a Robinson brother. That kind of thing.
@@trev3971 I play with multiple people who bag Pures. It's also offered in pretty much every plastic Lat64 makes for a reason. I also know a lot of guys with Graces in the bag because it's less stable than a Wraith. Almost exclusively with KTs Wolf stamp. She moves discs regardless of what you see in your leagues.
