I play modern wow the slow way. I am currently slowly levelling through Shadowlands, enjoying the zones I rushed through before. Completing every quest I find and skipped before. Its so relaxing and more immersive. 1 thing I miss about this is, I haven't met a single player yet, but my dark ranger is a lone wolf in the afterlife. 😁
As much hate as shadowlands get people can't dent the zones are still beautiful, each different version of wow has its good and bad points, one of retails bad points is sadly never really seeing anyone if you are out and about leveling the only time you do see people is in dornogal, but doesn't mean you can't have fun though eh just more like a single player rpg
@@TheLuminousLynx111 true, and when you think about it, the story is very YOU focused. You're the mawwalker. The only one to be able to do this and who save the shadowlands. But yes, quite the single player RPG vibe. So far I don't mind tho. But classic has that community though.
Ye exactly that, depends what type of Gameplay you want doesn't it, sometimes you just want to go around smashing stuff to pieces 😂 and retail is much better for that, other times a more slow paced then classic is your go to
I love how all these no-life streamers who don’t need a real job and have no kids and are used to playing 20 hours a day are FASCINATED by this idea of “taking things slow” when the reality for us normal working parents IS playing slow, since we only have about 2-4 hours a day to actually sit and play. So yeah, welcome to the club, I’m glad you’re finally realizing there is more to classic WoW than speed runs and viewer count.
I don't know if you are referring to this channel as " no life streamers" as that's definitely not the case, I myself work a full time and have several interests outside of work and gaming, as you can see by the uploads they are the odd hour here and there of playthroughs so not every person who creates content is a no lifer, some of us do it for fun, is it nice to get views? Of course it is it gives the videos you've worked on a sense of accomplishment, as for speed runs that's never been my thing, I enjoy leveling and pvp
I literally always played like this and always wondered why everyone felt so compelled to rush the game. Now people are supposedly taking it easy. Is it simply because they have exhausted themselves, or are they actually going to look at the game a different way?
I think it's a combination of different things, 1 being we've been there and done it all before so why bother rushing to complete everything as its not like you've beaten anyone to something we've not done before and I would also say vanilla is meant to be played slowly, the world is so vast with so many different things to do and to go to why bother rushing and missing it all out to just do 60 content
@TheLuminousLynx111 That second part is kind of what I am getting at... I think when most of us were actually playing vanilla back in the day, we didn't know enough about the game to be worrying about optimization. We were thumbing around the world cluelessly and discovering things as we went. And I know that was in the past, we were younger, and that magic isn't coming back. But that's still the pace a lot of people experienced the game at. Even the people who were hardcore raiders probably levelled up their first character slowly, simply because they hadn't done it before. I am not here to argue there is a "right" or a "wrong" way to play, but when so much of the community dedicated themselves to playing as fast and efficiently as possible... I do think that they miss out on a lot. And they are driven by FOMO, because everyone else is speed running. So they feel that they need to as well.
Ye there's no going back to how it was the first time round sadly, I didn't have an add ons or use any type of guide first time round the only way to find out where to go was thottbot😆 I guess like a lot of things in life there is no right or wrong for whole only right and wrong for the individual, most people don't have the time to rush to max level but they see the top streamers doing it and feel as if they are behind when in reality they aren't
I haven't played a lot of the anniversary server yet. I'm only level 4 but I do plan on playing more when I get the time. I do not want to rush it. My big problem with retail is how fast it goes by.
I see retail as single player RPG when leveling these days, it can still be fun but it's just a completely different experience to classic, anniversary has been great so far every zone seems to be busy and people looking for dungeons it's nice to see
With a fulltime job and reallife obligations and other hobbys, its hard to spare some time to play WoW today. And if you finaly get the chance to do so, why would you rush it? I dont play WoW at the moment, due to my rl stuff, but maybe after christmas i start again with a much slower pace, and try to enjoy every single minute. (Y)
I think that's what a lot of people are forgetting that as fun as games are they are fun things to do after your real life commitments, so taking your time and enjoying the game is what it's all about, not spending all day or rushing to get to max level, hope you manage to get back to azeroth and enjoy yourself again there
I really hope we, the players can play WoW fresh without being rush into next expansions. That we can play through the story and gameplay the way, which era we want to playthrough. I really hope classic fresh will be a similar level experience like Final Fantasy 14. Otherwise, what’s the point of playing the game that I love so much.
It does seem like more people are having this attitude from a lot of the comments I've been reading, there are always gonna be a certain number of people who will rush to max level but hopefully just not as many as usual, be interesting to see how many expansions we will he going through as we know it's going into TBC but will it go in to wrath or not they haven't said yet
@@LobsterFusion ye tbc is next year, long enough away to not worry about taking your time, but close enough people whos favourite expansion is tbc can be excited
What class have you gone ? I keep weighing up to make one on hardcore or not🤔 ye 100% no reason to rush especially in hardcore , just enjoy the journey
I've done a rogue before and got to 30 something can't remember exactly, it was when people were using the add on though not official servers so suppose it doesn't count
dude most of people did this shit like 5 times already, like where is fun to take time if u know every q makes no sense to me. new player for sure but we old fuckers what for, we did all of that when we first time played the game. have a nice day
Like you say everyone has done it before so there is no need to be smashing it to max level just for clout, and by taking your time that also means playing an hour here and there instead of all day like more would of been years ago, I think people are happy now to go at their pace and not that of all the top streamers
Hardcore is bleeding out by the the day and the regular fresh realms are already looking sparse. As long as we never ever look at the state of things one month in then things are smooth sailing boys! Blizz just has to sell the sheep the idea that everyone's definitely hyped for classic launch number 500 and collect one or two months free sub for next to no work. And of course that's great for a grifter like you. :)
Looking sparse 🤔 obviously not been on the servers if you believe that to be true, and I don't think you understand the word grifter if you are calling me one, you sound like you the sort who complains on any video for kicks, but each to their own if that's what you enjoy good luck to you

The thumbnail for this video was great. Was it AI generated or did an artist make it? If an artist made it could you link their socials?
Thank you for the compliment. We made it with a mixture of Canva and Lexica (AI) 👍

I think I saw TBC is coming out Winter 2025 or Spring 2026. So that's lots of time to enjoy vanilla at your own pace until the expansion.

@TheLuminousLynx111 hunter. Would recommend playing hardcore so fun , every quest is life or death

The endless hoops classic andy's jump through to pretend like they don't actually hate the hill they decided to die on....
Take a look at the anniversary realms, you're telling me all those people are pretending to enjoy themselves 😂
