The rail project is nothing but trouble so far, how many businesses already have closed up because of it. There are self driving cars now, by the time this thing is done, robotaxi might be more convenience.
So the company makes a million dollars on a regular basis and will be reduced to $10,000 most business owners would oh wow....... yay........ yeah.......🙄
She's not telling the full truth. Most people don't want to ride that eyesore money pit but they will force the people to ride it by lessening buses on the road and changing routes, watch this will happen.
We can thank Mufi, Cadwell, Dan, Ige and Green for the predicament we're in. Imagine what it would have been without rail and all the money directed us out of debt and a more functional city. Hewa and pilau yet nobody to date has ever been accountable and things need to change in order for Honolulu to move forward. The light rail in MN,cosits of 3 major lines,all failed the budget ,line 4 is 2+ billion$$&4 yrs behind,line 5 no one wants!!! But state of mn going forward😤all completed lines are so dysfunctional and violent that they lost 50% ridership since 2020 💥💣💥💣
those who live Hawaii long enough knew it was going take more than 10 years and $5-$6 billion to complete. it was a pipe dream to believe that. the goal always been UH Moana. connecting almost all the campuses together. from west Oahu, to LCC, HCC and Manoa. just missing KCC. and potentially HPU now they are at the Aloha Tower and Restaurant row. maybe not for us or our grandkids, but maybe the generation after them will be using it on the daily. yeah east side and north side complaining about how they not going be able to ride it, but West side been funding kalanianaole hwy H1, 2 and 3 projects too. including outta island. Oahu been the biggest contributors to the state in regards to tax collected and help fund projects state wide. so yeah with more houses being built beyond H2, its gonna make sense eventually. its gonna continue to suck until this is done. with this CEO, she get's it. especially with local ties. not no mainland "expert" that took the money and run. the city council and rail board need to get outta its way. they been the biggest hurdle on this project.
The Rail will be a failure because the cost to keeping operating is too costly and will never get enough riders now and the future.. Subsidies of the tickets will cost millions..why many other rails in America fail.. This will be Hawaii biggest loser and regret…
