I love this video. Kev you had me thinking it might be somewhat of a letdown after part 3 in the live yesterday. I was not let down. Different topics, little different vibe, nevertheless fire. I like the way all 4 videos could all stand on their own as great interviews. One didn’t necessarily need the next to make it better. Can’t wait to see you get Mumpy again. Man, you talking about bringing back memories. What's crazy is growing up with these dudes before they branched off into different sets. Before the killings, streets played streets in sports. Fights would break out because someone felt cheated, or they got whooped in that game. If the games wasn't played at certain schools, everybody met up Pepperdine & played. For those that may ask about Pepperdine being in Malibu.... Pepperdine was in the hood before they moved to Malibu. Then to think how small this world was & is, We stayed on 52nd, right off of Hoover, Crazy D stayed 2 houses from us on 52nd, they moved to 75 off of Raymond, we moved to 78th & Budlong, My Grandmother bought a house on 68th & Haas, so I was surround by all of that. Dudes that grew up together, played sports together, suddenly became enemies, family included for that gang life. Regardless how brutal that 60's vs ETG's war was, there was a lot of hood love for certain individuals that had potential to get up out of there.... they were hands off. If you were good in sports, music, etc, the old heads protected you. There was two phrases... "Y'all leave that lil nigga alone" or "Lil nigga, you bet not get in this shit, or i'll beat yo ass myself." You can still go back to the hood & even if those old heads are down & out, they're proud of you for getting out. If you fucked up, them same old heads are mad to you & themselves for you fucking up. As wild as it was back then, I wouldn't trade it for nothing. Keep these video's going playa.
