Looks like the ultimate sampler for eurorack now if only you could export to Ableton files like 1010 Bitbox provides. Still quality and use better and only the Percussa SSP beats it but that costs over 2x the price.
I can't speak for Rossum about any features or functions that are not part of the current spec. But I can tell you that at no time during my exploration of this did I ever feel the desire for a larger screen or remote interface. They really did a nice job on this, and a definite improvement from the Control Forge.
Interesting, though I find issue about the constant “unique modulate samples by samples.” There are other synths that do this in software. Serum has been able to fm modulate wavetable by samples for awhile. Phase plant can modulate samples by other samples/sources. It may just be unique in hardware, but that’s about it.
It's definitely on the high end of the market, but what you get for that price is unbelievable. Forget for a minute about it's primary function as a sampler. It can record, manipulate and store CV signals and have those signals modulated from 24 different inputs. 8 of those CV signals could be played simultaneously, or you can switch between up to 64 actively loaded waveforms (8 channels x 8 zones). And that's not even the half of it. So not only is it a remarkable 8 channel sampler, it's an insanely powerful 8 channel modulation source.
"The Assimil8or bla bla bla, is a very high quality" Meanwhile the literal sound of it spewing out robot farts in the background. Serious question why does all euro rack gear end up sounding like robocops arse burps??? Really, why?
@@ncapone87 I've never wanted to make or play rap instrumentals, although I do respect the older stuff of that genre back when hardware samplers were used like instruments themselves. I have respect for J Dilla.
The sounds don’t matter. It’s the functionality they are demonstrating. You can just as easily use standard 909 samples or real drums if that suits you better. Modular is weird. You just have to ride the wave.
@ericMT But it does sound bad. This is not an S950 or even an S1000. You can not just throw any samplers you want into a crappy sampler, that's the twist moustache, Starbucks, Ableton usser way of thinking, it sounds bad because the actual sampler does not sound good, it has bad ADA conversion and poor interpolation, among other things.
whoever made that intro track give them a fucking raise
Molten Moods - on Bandcamp
Drooling. Just wow. 🎉 fantastic
Sounds so good, is it intuitive to play though? Can you jam with it?
Part 2 please!
Are you going to release the part 2 ?
great Video quality of an awesome module.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
is that sequencing being one in the assimil8or ? i love those rolls
Best sampler in Euro rack.
Agreed. x100.
besides upcoming SSP ...percussa but 8 sample channels at once is ! ace
vs ER-301? I'm not totaly sure...
It is not fair to compare ER-301 vs anything because it will win every time :))
@@joakimhellgren3801it doesnt sound as good as the ass
Can you take one of the Outputs and use as an LFO and patch into one of the CV slots? instead of using external LFO?
Does this have the SSI chip-set (new version of the Emu SP1200 SSM chip set)?
Just wondering what sequencer you are using here?
which delay has been used on this videos intro tracks sounds?
finally got one ! And this video is why :D
This sounds so good. Elektron sounds like a toy in comparison
Selling my Analog Rytm mkii and getting one of these.
Is the pitch shifting on this superior in any way to that of a modern DAW? I remember Rossum talking about this
It’s far superior!

Is there an API and h/w interface for app-based editor?

This is so dope.

oh shit 4:25 nice!
How easy is it to sample new sounds and CV?
even more easy than with my original Emu E4 (and akai Z4/8MPC4000 serie and def. Roland S750)
I would say it was pretty easy and intuitive, especially for those who have experience with hardware samplers.
Imagine the price of the module!!!

Yes,im sure its a fantastic module!

If you want something to play back your shitty rap backing tracks just use your phone

I can't listen to the actual sounds, the talking is ruining everything
The sounds don’t matter. This video demonstrates what the module does. There are other videos to hear just the sounds.
@@ericMT Thank you. I will listen to the other videos. For the rest, I will read the manual.
