I watched the video version of this interview just now, before seeing this podcast version. For some reason, the comments have been "Turned Off", for that version. So, I couldn't explain why I will neither press 'Thumbs Up' or 'Thumbs Down' to the video. The reason I won't is that I'm afraid my reaction either way will be misinterpreted. I wish to press UP, to Elon Musk, the rational intellect he displayed, the thought he put into this discussion, and the patience he had with the interviewer. I would press DOWN, for the complete and utter minion, shill, whatever the heck he is, that is, Andrew Sorkin, who was simply EITHER an idiot (and he didn't appear to be), or, he's completely full of corporate BS, feigning his projected ignorance and disingenuousness. I assume it's the latter, anyway, but the directions he tried pushing the narrative were simply sickening, and the way he refused to listen to Elon's answers (that is, he REFUSED to accept his answers), while instead just forcing the same questions over and over again, hoping for an answer he'd (or his overlords) would find acceptable, again, made me wretch; I thus found it very difficult to have to sit through that tripe BS. And then, whenever Sorkin decided he was not going to get the answer he was predetermined to accept, or else!, he never offered any alternative counter-argument, NOR did he embrace the FACTS, or the ration, or the logic, being presented by Musk. Rather, he simply changed the subject, onto something different, because he knew he'd missed his chance for THAT sound-bite, and would try looking for another. What a complete hack. He's simply embarrassing as a "journalist". But, I've no idea who he is, so, I don't care how embarrassing he wants to make his career, I guess. But I watched this for the information I could garner from Musk. Thanks for making him available. But next time, try using a professional journalist with some ethical integrity to interview Musk. Im pretty sure Elon has high spectrum autism. Brilliant but a bit socially awkward. He reminds me of my youngest son who they diagnosed with Aspergeers as a child. He's 22 now, and graduating from college. Brilliant , a bit awkward socially, but has a heart of gold for life . He is compassionate of all life, whether humans or animals, esp animals as there is no awkwardness with them.. He can disect situations , events in ways I would never think of and come to conclusions that make such good sense but may seem out of the box to the majority of others. The brain of those w high spectrum autism works so differently than most. My son would talk to adults at 2, 3 ,4 about trains and tell them all the stations in the US, the diffeent rail companies, the components and mechanics of trains, and adults would listen with their mouths open. They couldn't believe it. The sad part was his peers thought him weird, called him names and could be quite brutal. I am so proud of my son, the youngest of 5, all brilliant, im proud of all of them. However, he had the most struggles as a child and has suceeded. I wouldnt change him one bit. He is perfectly created and my most loving, compassionate and generous of all my children. He gives so much to others. It started as him really trying to obtain friends, I found out he would give games etc away as a kid. I had to really communicate that giving is a beautiful thing but it should not be done to obtain something in return. He has learned that lesson but I still see he is very generous w friends, family, his girlfriend etc, not in excess but he loves to give and help people. He's a really GREAT kid. My 5 kids age from 22-37. Ive often said had he been my first, II may have had just one!!! He was so smart, into everything, took everything apart, hinges off the doors etc. And was a escape artist. I had double locks on everything with doors that could only be opened with keys on the inside. I had to as he had no fear, he would be outside, on the roof, to the pond, trying to drive the car etc in a split seccond. He could climb like a little monkey. He wore me out but it was worth it!
