I get how Miguel can be seen as right, but Miles is more so right because he highlights what it means to be Spider-Man. Not standing by and letting people die when you can do something about it. No way home literally had three spider-men save villain’s lives before sending them back.
I’m surprised the animated miles morales and Peter didn’t help miles since they went through there own spiderverse moment
I wished the ps4 spiderman was the one to tell miles "we can't always do both" since he had to choose between saving his aunt from doc ock's poison gas or saving the whole planet
Miguel's whole point was that he DID try do something about it and it just failed each time so he had to accept what had to be done, which is why gwen, peter b parker, penny etc also agreed. Canon events are seen as inevitable as death itself
What I love so much is that I wanna root for Miles but Miguel is also easy to support due to his logic. Simply amazing character writing

Since miles is not really apart of the canon because of the fact that he wasn’t supposed to be Spider-Man in the first place I would assume the canon wouldn’t really apply to him so saving his dad shouldn’t really affect anything anyways even Miguel mentions how miles isn’t apart of the canon and if you think about Miguel is just paranoid about the whole canon thing because of what happened to him I would go into how what Miguel did is different to what miles want to do and how want miles want to do wont mess the time line up like Miguel did trying to raise his daughter but that’s to much typing anyways that’s all I have to say let me know your thought tho!!!
Miguel doesn’t say hes not part of the canon, he says he was never meant to be spiderman. In his words “You are the original anomaly!” implying that he blames all of the issues on Miles being bitten, despite it really being due to kingpin and his particle thing.
He’s apart of the canon since he got bitten doesn’t matter what spider it is, the reason why Miguel probably hates him is he saw miles 42 future and past instead of 1610 like how the go home machine did the same from dna, he lost his uncle, he just needs to loose a close friend/so and mentor

Don’t think you understand what canon is at all nor did you understand what 2099 said. Canon just means the true events of a story. Everyone is apart of the canon because everyone is in the story. Universes implode when they don’t follow they’re destined paths and because our Miles was never supposed to Spider-Man (supposedly) Miguel is implying that everything Miles does from now on is against canon. Every person he saves, every interaction he has post bite is “incorrect”. However a point that can be made is that because he wasn’t supposed to be Spider-Man, he isn’t effected by the SAME canon as the others. Miles on earth 42 is the one who’s dad dies while saving a kid. But all of sudden because our Miles got bit his dad’s fate suddenly changed cause his son became spider-man? Doesn’t make any sense.
There are theories that just like 42 Miles was supposed to become Spider-Man, our Miles was the one that becomes the Prowler and it’s possible that his canon event was his uncle Aaron dying which has happened. Miguel is getting the canon events of the Miles mixed up is my point
1) just saw the movie, was absolutely amazing.
2) i did not catch the last easter egg. I think that is so fire on multiple levels. Just because as we know Spider-Man/Woman never fail to show that it doesnt matter who is under the mask, anyone can see themselves as Spider-Man.
2) Spider Punk was fuckin HILARIOUS and the absolute GOAT of the movie. I could not take him seriously.
3) I was absolutely happy that Andrew, Toby, and even Spectacular Spider-Man were in this film.

I just hope that having a part 2 in movies doesn't become the norm cus I was definitely bummed out the see it just end the way it did.
I mean, there was literally so much hype building up and I was expecting the team to band together before I realized what time we had left on my watch. A good analogy would be a supercar accelerating incredibly fast to just immediately stop where the climax of the hype should've been.

That scene Dontai was speaking on in the beginning was so chilling, like whole theatre was silent and just that ominous music was incredible. Reminded me of the scene in No Way Home in the apartment when Peter sensed something was about to happen
My whole thing was the fact that Gwen's dad (the police captain that was supposed to die) doesn't die anymore because he quit when she left. she notices this because her whole mood changes after and she sets out to find miles. I think in the next movie, she will tell Miles to get his dad to quit, but it has to be his own decision because the only reason her dad quit was because she left and he didn't want to fight anymore. so it might lead to miles leaving his family, or him making some hard decision to get his dad to quit. ( like telling his family he is Spiderman)

To clarify. Dontsi and Eric aren’t saying Gwen is transgender cuz she isn’t. Never been cannon and def isn’t for Gwen Stacy. However, the animators are drawing parallels to her coming out to her dad as Spider-Woman and keeping her true identify a secret to how trans kids come out to their parents. It’s to not only connect to trans kids in telling them they aren’t alone, but also connecting with everyone else to help people understand the weight LGBTQ+ kids carry when revealing who they really are to their parents and loved ones. Incredible job by the animators

Another thing I found out in this movie was when Miles was trying to tell his mom he was Spiderman in the end of the movie it sounded like what a gay kid coming out to their parent with the lines of "promise me you won't look at me any differnetly then you do now" its those subtle detailts in the movie that really put out a message instead of it being corny in just all up in your face. on a rewatch of the segment where they talked about gwen, i honestly kinda take back what i said in a way. it makes me happy to see a character that shows an experience thats relatable to both cis and trans audiences, but seeing how chat reacted at the mere pointing out of the trans coding was really disappointing. like its ok for it to be subtle so its not "in their face," but if its more direct, then its awful and an L or whatever. trans people deserve more than symbolism or being reduced to the shadows as to not offend these kinds of people or "shove it down their throats." fuck them.

MY thing with Miguel is, he is def paranoid af from how he royally fucked up an entire dimension that wasnt even his that i think he kinda blames Miles for it? cuz without him, Miguel wouldnt even have had the knowledge that he could do that plus the fact the spider bit the wrong Miles. so i think hes assuming Miles will ruin everything if he saved his dad and ruin the 'canon' but in reality, i think Miguel would actually be the one to fuck it up even more cuz he was keeping Miles away. Cuz like at this point, he's messing with someone elses dimension again like he did when he tried to live in the dimension where he had a daughter. Maybe i watch too much stuff regarding timelines and dimensions but with how this story is structured, who knows.

So i think that isnt on Miles and just a coincidence that the shit happened so it looks like Miles caused it when really it was The Spot fucking with DARK MATTER. like its the same color as Spot's portals
Miguel knows what he knows based on his own actions. He was entirely content to let Miles stay in his universe and not mess more things up. Miles wouldn’t teach him anything anyway. They’re likely both anomalies, and by Miguel worrying too much and trying to keep everything under control cuz of his guilt, he’s likely going to make things worse. The issues are more the other AU villains breaking into other universes rather than letting canon events play out. Or maybe the universes heal themselves like Miles’ universe, but only break down when too much intervention is done (likely with what happened to Miguel’s universe, since he might have intervened too much to save ppl).
You’re partially right tho, Miguel should’ve just not told Miles and should’ve sent him back to his universe and allow whatever plays out to play out. I think he did it mostly to explain to Miles why saving the captain was wrong, cuz it altered Pavitr’s universe.
And I do agree that it could have been a coincidence cuz of Spot.
