  • Yellow cabs are about as New York as pizza and bagels. But why are there fewer of them on the streets right now? Adam Harding reports.

Simple. Over pricing themselves out of the market. When the pandemic hit, and they couldn't, or wouldn't take fairs.... People did what they always have done. Adapt to the situation, and get by. Now cabs/bars/restaurants,etc.want us back to overcharge for their loses. No thanks. Drinking, and cooking at home is cheaper, more fun, and safer.!

What she meant is most drivers have the mortgage of $1.2 mil with current price of medallion $200k. They basically have no money to pay for ins, reg, insp, work comp and all other cr@p $15000 annually just to keep a cab moving.

Good get rid of all of them, private cabs, hailing, taxis are the reason why the roads are congested and road rules broken. They're just as much a menace on the roads as are bicyclists.
