I think it’s because this channel’s main audience are LCK watchers so they assume people are only familiar with Rekkles and Poby. If Poby did not sub for Faker, pretty sure he would not have been introduced as well
@@raulhessel hmm not really… it doesn’t seem that common in the LCK either since I have never seen a player introduce themselves with their age unless asked about the year they were born… I don’t really know how old the rest of the T1A squad is since they never said. Is it common in Sweden/the UK where Rekkles lived?
@@Pitapat819 idk about sweden/uk but here in the netherlands its not uncommon in a introduction and I think he is just used to doing it and doesnt even think about it
It makes perfect sense in this context since they earlier talked about how the sum of all t1 Academy players age is 109 and they said "Rekkles is big part of it". Him then saying his age so you know just how big part of the sum it is makes perfect sense.

In my country, and the 2 other asian countries I lived in, there’s a bit of reluctance to reveal your age as you get older because there’s a lot of age-based pressure/comparison in terms of what you should be doing or what you should have already achieved.
