What a brilliant salvage operation that was. A true testament to the team that brought her back. And just look at her now. Take a bow guys 👍.

Excellent video and what a story! I’m passionate about Victorian and Edwardian Era’s ships and History. This video warmed my heart. Greetings from Brazil!

I can't believe how small Stanley was in the map at 5:38. It has grown many times over in the past 50 years.

I think she's a beautiful ship. A true symbol of what Victorian engineers could achieve. I also have a special place in my heart for her big sister the SS Great Eastern, which was to twice her size and designed with luxuries that made the SS Great Britain's first class rooms look primitive and unoriginal by comparison. I hope that we can maybe rebuild her one day as a museum and hotel. Better yet put her right beside the Great Britain in Bristol!!!

I wonder if the same thing could be done with the RMS Queen Mary should the spectacular liner that was similarly once the largest and fastest in the world return home.

You are thinking of the SS Great Eastern which came only a decade later. The Great Eastern dwarfed the Great Britain.
