Can we take a moment to appreciate the audio engineer? This mix is just... euphoric. The way Faris's voice seems to be coming from some sort of non-distinct, almost unearthly source that spreads outward from the right, then across both speakers? The bass, sounding almost like waves or gusts of wind? Multiple tracks of the keyboard coming from multiple directions? It's amazing. ...It probably also helps that the first time I heard the song I was on a plane, leaving home to move to a new state on the other side of the country... So I might be biased.
Yeah, this definitely builds on the legacy of something like Bizarre Love Triangle. 50 ain't even old, and there's still plenty of great music being released all the time. No shortage of people inspired by the 80s sound in particular.
First heard this song on the radio at a job I hated, after a cold breakup with a great girl, with no other friends, and my family moving away. This song spoke to me then. I was depressed and very lonely, and the lyrics made my heart sink while the sound healed me, as I served heartless older people stupid drinks they didn't need. Not long after, I quit and moved over 1,000 miles away. Very bittersweet memories for an awesome track
people under-estimate how hard it is to write a hypnotic pop song like this. This will grow on everyone and become one of their most famous songs i reckon...imagine hearing it live.....fucking vibes !
Horrors, guys... I hope you realise here in Mexico, we love you. We listen to you first than everyone. We comment your videos, we share your music. Latin America and Mexico love you, guys. think more often in us and come here soon! We'll be glad. 10/10 Song, I'm so excited for this album!
Unbelievable that this is the same band who released "Count in Fives", "Sheena is A Parasite" or even "Who Can Say". Brilliant track, loving both singles from the upcoming album!
I FUCKING KNOW RIGHT! these lads can NEVER go wrong...harsh and abrasive but they're still preserving that eagerness to experiment. don't get me wrong Strange House is a powerhouse in modern post-punk but i wouldn't want them to get stuck to that sound. if anything i love the experimentation going on across all records. this one looks like another game changer
Found a CD copy of V at a pop up vinyl thrift cause my brother has a vinyl obsession. Bought it for R25 (about $1.25). I have shared this song (and the album) with basically everyone I know -- this is far too underrated for its quality and groove.
I am so pleased. "Machine" had me worried, but I truly enjoyed this track and am looking forward to the album. The aesthetic looks so unique and I can't wait to see what the end result is
Truly amazing... Such a great sound ♥️ This album is going to be awesome!! Both new tracks are great & probably one of the greatest bands I've ever heard.. ✨
There is a weird sound on the song that reminds me of the Ooca voices from The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess. I highly doubt it is there on purpose, but looking at the strange cover art for the album, maybe there's a little chance.
This has been a recurring earworm since I first heard it only a couple of years ago....beautiful warm and just bursting with yearning soul...superb production too...now one of my all-time favourite dance tracks ❤
It grows and grows and grows and grows until you realise its fucking wonderful
This feels like the cool evening air blowing against your skin with the car windows down when the sun is setting on a summer's day
IKR YOU JUST READ MY MIND

*. Sentences end with punctuation. Here, we (adults) use a period. It looks like this: .

@@clvrswine to humour you dear simpleton,, grammar is bureaucratic, it's made up. Omitting a period is a purposeful stylistic choice
If you're listening this.......... you have excellent taste of music!

Spot on ♥
Yes! This whole albums mixing is superb.
pure art
I'm knocking on 50 and this reminds me of the '80's. Stunning track.
Nice

They definitely can make 80's sounding tracks
Same here! 51.
Yup, I'm 53 and was thinking the exact same new wave thing. OMD, New Order, etc. Doesn't hit the same but it's not their fault, ya had ta be there.
In addition to being a great song, this is possibly the slickest piece of production ever made.
Epworth really polished this record well. Particularly on this track.

I can't express in words how much joy this song gives me. It's wonderful
The Horrors have brick by brick been ascending the tower of song and now they're banging on the door of the penthouse suite. This is a pop symphony
I couldn't have broken it down any other way, it's a Joyride of Melancholia.
80's retro wave is so good!
It immitates the new wave of the past 🌊

Love songs that feature driving beats that carry through the majority of the track like this. Very hypnotic indeed!

I love this song so much. I can't even describe it.
Unbelievable that this is the same band who released "Count in Fives", "Sheena is A Parasite" or even "Who Can Say". Brilliant track, loving both singles from the upcoming album!

Good lord, why did no one tell me The Horrors had THIS much of a musical glow-up? Holy cow, this is freaking wonderful.

Found a CD copy of V at a pop up vinyl thrift cause my brother has a vinyl obsession. Bought it for R25 (about $1.25). I have shared this song (and the album) with basically everyone I know -- this is far too underrated for its quality and groove.

This song is what inspired me to start writing and take up art, and I'm completely obsessed with it lol
So far every single they released is amazing, this album is going to be my new favorite from them since Primary Colors
Instant classic. Can't wait for the new full length.
Absolutely stunning beautiful track. I'm speachless.

Lots of Madchester Vibes in here...
There is a weird sound on the song that reminds me of the Ooca voices from The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess. I highly doubt it is there on purpose, but looking at the strange cover art for the album, maybe there's a little chance.

first song that helped me discover the horrors. cool band, cool song.
hate how trendy the dance/synthpop sound has been the past few years. These guys pull it off though, honestly a great song.
agreed, love when today's dance vibes are put to good use in an "indie;post-punk fusion"
Love the horrors since 2008!!!
My cousin turned me onto the Horrors, love this "Something To Remember Me By" great group lead singer very cool I dig!!

Damn this song is still perfect after all these years. What a way to go out (I don’t know that they broke up after this, I’m assuming)

Q chido
