@@superpixelated7354Really? Then where were the fans for The Marvels, Wish, Stranger Things, Lightyear, Elemental, Madame Web, etc.? Let me answer that for you: The so called fans don't exist. And it's not like Hollywood hasn't known about this for at least the last five years. People are waking up and seeing the garbage Hollywood is pumping out while pushing their political propaganda. We The People are tired of it, and no one is eager to see more garbage being pumped out by Hollywood, especially the new generation whose faces are perpetually glued to Tik Tok. Hollywood is dying, and they're doing everything in their power to accelerate their demise. Let them. If they're not willing to give the paying customers what they want, they deserve to fail.
ha haha hahaha Hollywood apologize? They believe they're on a righteous moral crusade and everyone outside of their small echo-chamber is an evil racist homophonic bigot for not giving them money to be berated and endlessly labeled as such. Grab some popcorn, enjoy some classics, and discover the wonders made outside of the toxic Hollywood bubble. Eventually their coffers will run dry and they'll change, or they won't and it'll give indie/foreign media entities an opportunity to fill the void.
We'll never get the original cast in one shot TOGETHER. They FUCKED UP. Until Lucas Films leaves Disney I won't invest in Star Wars AGAIN. The Sequel Trilogies have to be scrubbed. And the original cast acknowledged for being heroic, even if we get off camera AChievements because we can't have the original cast together again!
Ikr. The destruction of anything else in the entire entertainment/pop-culture universe wouldn't even make me momentarily flinch. 53yo and this destruction of Star Wars has put me to tears, and I'm having trouble letting it go and not caring anymore.
Absolutely agree. It's not about "Boy Brands" or "Girl Brands". It's about telling a proper story. Everyone is tired of the character assassinations, the Mary sues, the race/gender change of beloved characters. The blatant attacks on the fans that love and have supported the franchise, and the pandering to an audience that cares little to nothing about the franchise.
This will get a little ranty, but it *is* missing the point, we're asking for a boy AND girl brand. They shouldn't have to degrade one side of their audience to raise another. Identity politics and ✨diversity✨ should not even be their main focus in making creative decisions. A lot of Disney's all-time classics are female centric movies, the og Mulan was a masterpiece but that husk of a remake was better off not being made (same thing goes for a lot of their remakes tbh.) It was never the _inclusion of women,_ but the exclusion of men, white characters, and heteronormative relationships, the push for political messaging, and their need to check boxes, etc. They're more focused on _sending a message_ and getting pats on the back from angry millennial liberal-arts majors who write simple bs like "racism is no-no, marriage dead, yay pride month" on Twitter, rather than creating actually meaningful and profound stories for hungry audiences. They've just lost their touch, if they really have to have that mindset and give us a "boy brand" to improve the quality of their content, then by all means, do so. But that's not exactly what is being asked for, it's a little more nuanced than that.
I’m never wasting money on anything Disney ever again. Last time I watched their new stuff was Ashoka and I that show was straight up putting me to sleep.
I love the Clone Wars animated series, what they did to Ahsoka in the live show, its super bad!she just goes from win to win in any kind of awful fights they make!
The problem is that Disney doesn't have the creative talent to support the properties they acquire. Fundamentally they've never been a creative studio, but it was ok because they hired talented writers and directors. They don't do that anymore.
I have always said since more than five years ago, the DEI rot is massive at Disney now. They would have to fire all of the DEI hires and then fire anyone who wants to hire based on DEI. Then they would have to find talented people who want to go to Disney. Finally, they'd have to be able to tell the difference between talented and non-talented and retain their talent while continuing to replace the bad apples. It's just way too unlikely all of that could happen under Iger.
I’m 42 and I saw the real Little Mermaid animated movie when I was 8. Still, to this day, Part of Your World means something to me- I love it. When my son was little, it was Toy Story and Cars that were his version of Little Mermaid. Today for kids there’s nothing. It’s really sad.

@@Cedisdead Listen now... Only because you never liked them that doesn't mean they were useless. Disney did more things than most companies. Many things were created thanks to Disney because of the rivalry and the inspiration of Disney.
Disney will have to fire SOO MANY PEOPLE who made all these horrible choices. Look the actors, can do better, given a right script and director. The writers, get better writers Disney! The Directors, off to the breadline for them. The ones deciding what is to be done, fire them! So with CAPABLE writers that are allowed to WRITE GOOD. I think things are possible. That yes requires a lot of fire and a lot of changes.
Honestly, I think they just need to make one great movie for them to realize that they can make a profit again. The people they are making movies for aren’t supporting them. They just need to realize that good story telling is good enough.
Allowing writers to use movies as vehicles to spread political messaging is utterly insane. Whoever allowed and enabled such nonsense should never have been put in charge to begin with! It isn't even unreasonable for Disney to sue for compensation for the damage they have done.
Its pretty simple, take longer to make films. These people who are making the big buck should be checking, double, triple checking, the script. They should have a whole storyboard of the movie also triple checked by multiple people. The people at the top need to be earning their money or fired. It should be written in their contracts that after they lose the studio, x amount of money they are fired. The amount of money being lost and no one held accountable is absolutely ridiculous.
It's sad. I waited, hoping disney would change. Then, after realizing how disgusting they actually are. I canceled everything disney, tossed all my sons disney toys and clothes. They are dead to us, and we will never go back. It's too late now.
That's dumb as hell. Just because Disney is fucking up right now doesn't mean you should've gotten rid of your kids memorabilia of their previous work. They can still enjoy Disney's previous work without you fucking it up for them. All because YOU are cynical towards the company's capacity for change.
I wonder what's worse: being fired and able to rage/spit at your boss... or being forced to resign and make others believe it was your own decision while being forced to smile 🙃
Most of the end of your sentences sound like your asking a question the way you stretch your last syllable and edit cuts, i cant unhear it after i noticed it
Disney doesn't care about quality anymore. If they did care about there content they wouldn't do too much politics, diversity. So let them burn more money its satisfying about Disney losing money.
Woah woah woah. Hold the fuck up. It all comes down to the executives running the company. The current executives need to go, and when Disney gets new ones, the company can change for the better. Disney holds a special in the hearts of many. It can still be saved, not destroyed.
Hire actual film makers rather than DEI activists would be a good start. 30 years ago, you couldn't make a film unless you had real skills, which kept the wannabes out. But with the advent of CGI it's allowed untalented people to run the show and in turn they've produced slick looking rubbish.
This problem isn't even that hard to solve, just hire good writers and force your directors and actors to abide by the writing. Most of the issue with all of these films is poor writing. It's baffling how much money Disney has lost with such an easy issue.
You’re totally right about K.K!! All one has to do is watch what Spielberg says about her trying to pitch ideas when he was having a writing session, where her job was to actually write their ideas down. Instead she blurts out; “instead of him getting the girl, maybe he should get a dog!” That right there shows her level, or better yet lack of creativity!!
@@paul1780 hey I cheated my way through highschool lol. Well atleast for homework, I did my own tests though. But yeah I agree with you, and i also think she has delusions of grandeur about her ideas.
The biggest elephant in the room that you didn’t mention is the moralizing and politicization of everything they put out. They need to remember who they are at the core and that is a family centered entertainment company. Pushing DEI and wokeness are why the trust in their brand has crumbled.
lve been watching videos for months about this new issue with he entertainment industry for MONTHS now asking myself why all of a sudden theres seems to be an obsession with lgbtq representation and ideology in the narrative on their products and why its spreading like wildfire, but just today lve came across some piece of information that connects all the dots. But no one its actually talking about and l cant understand why... lm talking about the ESG. Now basically this organization ,or whatever it is, holds hundred of BILLIONS in investments which are founding huge developer corporations (by buying their stocks) related to how "lgbtq" and minorities supportive they are not only in their story writing BUT how much of their work force its populated by said groups. And everything made sense all of a sudden. They dont care about the movie/game/or whatever, they want to be founded by the ESG and their billions. So yeah the actual culprit is the ESG and the new wave of "consultants" helping these developer to get in the ESG scope of investments. The implications of all this issue are way bigger though but lve already made a long comment even longer, just wanted to give some light in the issue
Disney destroyed Star Wars and Marvel so for me at least, they have nothing to offer. Fire all of the executives they want, it won't matter until they start making good movies and shows again. I don't believe they want to make good content anymore. Rather they just want to tell us what we should like and how we should think.
They dont even need to be creative. there are so many good books in the star wars extended universe they could make a 1to1 movie of and they would be absolute bangers. Bane, Darth Maul, Plagueis to name a few.
Greenbaum has overseen quite a lot of high quality, original films. Both as a Producer and since taking over as head of Searchlight. This actually gives me hope for the future of Disney.
The only chance they have of repairing the damage they have done is to immediately fire all people in positions that can make decisions on what projects are produced by Disney/Marvel. A public statement that by producing hetero-hating material in the past they realize that they made a terrible mistake. They must say that it isn't a zero-sum game, they can make movies that have characters that appeal to everyone, not just blue-haired androgenous people that are prone to crying when someone exists that they don't agree with.
I wish Disney had stuck with first class animation, with live action an afterthought. (I remember The Absent Minded Professor, Old Yeller, etc. Fun; but not the main gig.)
This feels like a villain story arc where they have every chance given to them to set things right, but they turn it down every time due to their pride getting the best of them, now we just wait for a hero to properly appose them to give them the just fate they deserve, what that fate is, is up for the dual opposing sides to decide.
That she-hulk headline is hilarious...because the only people 'viewing it' are the people who are part of making it. So of course they'd be gleeful in calling out their own detractors.
I notice one of your MCU criticisms is that each movie and series is vastly different from each other. However, I want to point out that in the beginning that was an MCU strength. Iron-Man always dealt with “tech”. Thor dealt with interplanetary issues where Earth got tied-in (at least the first two). Captain America always dealt with patriotism, government / conspiracy, and a sense of honor / duty. Sure there was some crossover of these issues, but the basis for their stories were unique, and that’s what kept them from all being photocopies of each other. We don’t want an MCU where every movie is the same. I submit that the writing (and in some cases acting) has been their source of downfall. Disney has focused on pushing social issues over hiring quality actors, writers, and directors. As Disney’s focus has shifted, the overall success of the MCU has declined. This is true of all Disney franchises.
It's not about shifting to "boy brands" but shifting back to quality and balance in the kinds of movies/shows they make. Agree with you that it's not about gender per se. Quality, quality, quality.
I agree with you on all points. however, I’m afraid that Marvel has done a critical issue that Tim Burton did with the early Batman movies. And that is, they went way way too fast, now, from Iron Man to endgame, to say something like that was too fast. It is somewhat hyperbolic because it took a very long time to get to that point. however, if they release dates faster then they would not have to recast because their actors aged out of the parts. Now, it is my confirmed belief that endgame was actually predictive programming for Covid because the whole thing has been planned out by the elite class for a long time. In fact, in the government terminology Covid was called operation dark winter and it was talked about in the world economic forum way back in 2012 and 2014. it was addressed again in 2016 but all of the dimensions of this have been scrubbed by the Internet and you need to have the way back machine in order to find it. It is my belief that the only way that they can go further is kind of go back. I think that’s what they’re trying to do with the small version of the Spider-Man movie coming up. It actually makes sense to me to de-escalate so that they can re-escalate back into an endgame type of scenario. But, LGBT and feminist audiences are not the ones that buy tickets to these kind of movies. so your critique about audiences is not only fair it is correct and speaking as a marketer. It is confirmed by my professional opinion. Also, since streaming has started, advertising for these movies is getting very tricky. However, there are some people to get just as excited about the trailer for Deadpool three as the movie itself. So the demand is there they’re just not investing, but they need to in order to generate the kind of excitement that we used to have before Covid. Honestly, they should go back to the model, not putting anything on streaming until a year after its cinematic release date in theaters. this whole stream on the release date is destroying many other middleman parts of the business and pretty soon we’re gonna start seeing movie theaters the way of blockbuster. targeting the right audience is one of the top four things that a marketer would do. So they are not having a Paisan with the top down layers of every part of the department. This means that it’s an ego trip and they’re not actually in it for the basic capitalist design. They have relied on their wealth to try to change culture and ended up losing $2 billion. And that does not make their shareholders happy. They did not balance what they do for what they are trying to do. They’re trying to take over the world and continue to live in it, which is ridiculous because it’s like trying to blow up the planet that you’re living on.
The only way is boycott. As a Star Wars old fan I will not support with my money anymore film based on the terrible Kennedy. I could back to SW if: 1) They would fire KK 2) They would cancel the new trilogy from the canon and place it on Legends 3) They give everything to Filoni, and go back to the Lucas SW
It's definitely too little. The person being fired was probably just a cog they threw under the bus in an attempt to appease the shareholders which if a shareholder has the least bit of awareness they'll realize the people who really need to go are the board, Bob and Kathleen.
They're trying to screw the pooch on Deadpool 3 as well. It sounds like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are fighting back and doing well fighting back. Let's hope they will be successful.
Only because you didn't liked them, that doesn't mean it's also for him bad. A decade? Really? Well I heard that movies like Moana Zootopia Encanto are great movies and this drama started on 2022
Focusing on a single gender again? Are they kidding? Disney was well known for making movies that were loved by both boys and girls. Although some were geared to girls (most princesses, for example), boys could still enjoy the story, and the same happened with the stories geared to boys (such as Aladdin, Brother Bear...), girls were also able to enjoy them. I don't see how hard of a concept this is for them.
They need three movies or shows that actually have good heart to them before the brand begins to repair. To fix Star Wars: Go back to traditional values that may relate to families and kids like how Mandelorian did with taking care of a baby. The MCU: stop the cinematic universe. Add new characters that don’t have much to do with anything. Make a fresh MCU. Do not try and keep continuity too much because we reached the end of the MCU a while back.
I had a idea when i think about stories that the Hollywood tries to make the easy method comes to mind that they should concentrate on discussion that the group's of people have on these imagined world's and how it inform the narratives of the character we don't see what everyone else is going thru.
Brilliantly said. And those 3 points hit the nail on the head. The underlying theme for all of those is Disney's message for its audience. Each 3 of those can be fixed if they stop catering to a woke audience and focus on good entertainment that all can enjoy.
i will say it again... they need to come up with new unique characters ... it doesnt matter white black green or blue, or male female , boy girl, trans ,cat. simply come up with good stories instead of reimagining the classics
I think Disney should get KK and Bob Iger to apologise (yea right). Admit they tried something different and own upto their failures. Then promise to fix all the franchises they ***** up. Ok there might be more chance of me seeing Gandalf riding a pink unicorn but still, dreams can come true right?
Sorry. From what I read, KK was more a glorified secretary who interrupted meetings with stupid ideas. She rode other people's coat tails. When Lucas handed her Star Wars. She was mostly hands off for Rogue One and then exerted her influence to the destruction of everything Lucas Film. So, No. She wasn't the driving force behind ET or Jurassic anything. She fetched and carried for Spielberg and Lucas. On her own... nothing.
I disagree about the change in tone between series being a bad thing. The Marvel Universe is a setting, not really a genre. It's a good thing that Daredevil has a very different tone than Fantastic Four, for example. They are very different genres of stories despite both having superheroes. Insisting on a unified tone for all of the Marvel Universe would be very constricting and not a good thing.
Encanto was better then soul , but it didn’t have original hype . Nobody was flinging to get excited over it just by merit of being Disney, they had to see the reviews first before going ahead and watching it
It's not just the bad movies Jesse it's the DEI crap they've insisted on forcing upon us that we're sick to death of. The crap movies was icing for the demise
Maybe Disney should take all the woke creative and production people, all the managers and execs, and all the annoying woke actors and actresses , and make them disappear
The saddest thing is, Disney CAN fix things, but they consciously choose NOT to. Until they purge the rot that’s infected the company, nothing will get better.

Look I’ll save Disney
1- apologize and admit you made bad calls based on politics
2- state your returning to your roots
3- do so
That’s it thats all
ha haha hahaha Hollywood apologize? They believe they're on a righteous moral crusade and everyone outside of their small echo-chamber is an evil racist homophonic bigot for not giving them money to be berated and endlessly labeled as such. Grab some popcorn, enjoy some classics, and discover the wonders made outside of the toxic Hollywood bubble. Eventually their coffers will run dry and they'll change, or they won't and it'll give indie/foreign media entities an opportunity to fill the void.
All I have to say is THEY RUINED STAR WARS...its personal.
Its personal for me...... praise Warhammer 40k tho, FOR THE EMPEROR!!!
Facts and people want them to get their grubby hands on Spidey hell no. They already ruined on of my belovrd franchises
when the said all star wars canon was now not canon and now something called legends... i was angry scarred and concerned
Disney no longer has the talent to reverse course. DEI did the job of hollowing out merit too well.
Excellent statement. The people with the talent said "F This" and left.
Exactly!
Im just here to watch Disney shart itself into bankruptcy
Why aren't major Disney shareholders demanding the firing of Bob Iger?
FIRE. BOB. IGER.
They also need to fire the activists in their midst.
Yes but it will never happen only Shit happens
The fact they saying to go back to boy brand is missing the point 💀💀
My "toxic fan" badge goes so well with my "toxic masculinity" and "transphobe" badges.
I’m a huge Star Wars fan. I tried so hard to like that show. It just wasn’t happening.
That show is a hit or miss
The problem is that Disney doesn't have the creative talent to support the properties they acquire. Fundamentally they've never been a creative studio, but it was ok because they hired talented writers and directors. They don't do that anymore.
It's like Critical drinker put it, "Its like they have a jigsaw puzzle almost figured out, but refused to put together the last piece".
You mean if you constantly make things people don't like, your company becomes unpopular? Weird... Weird.....
Ahahahaha
Please. Kathleen Kennedy was getting Steven Spielberg coffee at all of those movies.
then got promoted, and then inserted herself in most if not all of her projects!brown haired girl boss!
It's too late for them.I could care less about the brand. Its over.
Yeah I feel a lot of people agree with you
I’m 42 and I saw the real Little Mermaid animated movie when I was 8. Still, to this day, Part of Your World means something to me- I love it. When my son was little, it was Toy Story and Cars that were his version of Little Mermaid. Today for kids there’s nothing. It’s really sad.
2 years of bad choices?! Ever since End Game they have been hemorrhaging and making things worse!
Keep up the work fantastic video!
I argue End Game contained lots of DEI so I consider that movie the end as well as the beginning.
Ever since Endgame? Ever since the beginning of the company, only stupid Disney fans like Avengers. There is not a single serious person who thinks any avengers movie is good.
@@CedisdeadWell without Disney You wouldn't have gotten DreamWorks and many other studios no Tom and jerry no fnaf. Disney was revolutionary it was the beginning of true entertainment. So stop talking bullshit
@@Simbala-bq5vy buh huh no Tom and Jerry? What am I supposed to do without them.. I think it's just ridiculous how people who liked what Disney did with ex Avengers and other garbage movies now hate on Disney just because they grew up and are not 12 anymore and are now bored of childish garbage.
Dude Bob just dumped 80% of his Disney stock. If that tells you anything
Honestly, I think they just need to make one great movie for them to realize that they can make a profit again. The people they are making movies for aren’t supporting them. They just need to realize that good story telling is good enough.
Nothing they can do to get me to pay for their product. Now I just enjoy watching Disney film reviews on RUclips. Not the film itself
Ahahaha
And what IF the movie ends up being really good?
Allowing writers to use movies as vehicles to spread political messaging is utterly insane. Whoever allowed and enabled such nonsense should never have been put in charge to begin with! It isn't even unreasonable for Disney to sue for compensation for the damage they have done.
Even if someone didnt mind the fact that their badly written didnt help
We appreciate your insights. Keep working hard.
Thank you!
Until large investment firms like Vanguard, Blackrock, etc stop pushing DEI requirements to all of these companies then the path is set.
Us fans will have the last laugh!
To be honest I hope not I’d rather have great movies from my once favourite studio! But at the moment you’re probably right
Most of the end of your sentences sound like your asking a question the way you stretch your last syllable and edit cuts, i cant unhear it after i noticed it
Disney doesn't care about quality anymore.
I just wish people would talk about Peter dinkage being a gatekeeper.for little people actors. He's why the dwarves aren't dwarves
Disney is pure garbage now. Disney no longer has the talent to reverse course.
6:29 i liked encanto alot so in my opinion the argument is valid but you can have your opinion.
Probably cheated her way through school. She really sounded brain dead stupid when I learned about that interaction.
Disney definitely needs new leadership.
But would new people in-charge save the company at this point? I honestly have no idea...
I don't think parents are gonna go back...moma bear don't like when ya mess with her cubs
You cant do that, you need to adapt it to modern audiences.
Hopefully this new Disney president makes better movies that’s all that I’m asking to happen here!
I could back to SW if:
1) They would fire KK
2) They would cancel the new trilogy from the canon and place it on Legends
3) They give everything to Filoni, and go back to the Lucas SW
It's definitely too little. The person being fired was probably just a cog they threw under the bus in an attempt to appease the shareholders which if a shareholder has the least bit of awareness they'll realize the people who really need to go are the board, Bob and Kathleen.
And the funny thing is, he was probably just doing what he was told to do by Bob Iger
If Disney takes their money and run, I wouldn't be mad. I'd laugh my ass off and call it the scam of the decade.
At this point 😑... If Disney just went downhill altogether will be the day they'd wished that they had listened to us fans!
*Phoebe Waller Bridge's ego far outweighs her talent & looks.*
I would watch R rated marvel. With black widow knockers a hulk clapping brains. Cap's shield cutting people in half.
YES... THEY NEED TO STOP THINKING is ok SWAPPING GENDERS IN A FLIPPING CARTOON OR MYTHICAL story.... MAKE A NEW STORY WITH GOOD WRITING!!
Thank you, great work
Thank you!
They're trying to screw the pooch on Deadpool 3 as well. It sounds like Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are fighting back and doing well fighting back. Let's hope they will be successful.
2 years of bad choices? You mean a decade of bad choices. 😅
Even if they start at this very moment, it'll take at least TEN Years for them to undo their own self inflicted Damage.
But of course they won't.
Another change is Disney needs to go back to making love stories
Of a princess falling for her prince, and so on
They need three movies or shows that actually have good heart to them before the brand begins to repair.
Paramount started the MCU not disney.....disney has no longer has any clue how to run and maintain a franchise
Brilliantly said. And those 3 points hit the nail on the head. The underlying theme for all of those is Disney's message for its audience. Each 3 of those can be fixed if they stop catering to a woke audience and focus on good entertainment that all can enjoy.
Congratulations DISNEY, You win the WORST MOVIES OF THE DECADE AWARD!
Diskey needs to repent from their wicked ways and sin no more. Good luck with that.
Girl/boy centered? How idiotic. I'm glad you said it's just that the story sucks, because it's true.
i will say it again... they need to come up with new unique characters ... it doesnt matter white black green or blue, or male female , boy girl, trans ,cat.
simply come up with good stories instead of reimagining the classics
It's not like female heroes are bad the movies are bad
Most importantly, they need to sack IGOR!!!
idk why ppl say MCU is bad.......i mean MCU ended with End Game.....after that it was M-sHe-u
Uncle Bob has got to go. Also Kennedy, regardless of her connections !!!
I think Disney should get KK and Bob Iger to apologise (yea right). Admit they tried something different and own upto their failures. Then promise to fix all the franchises they ***** up. Ok there might be more chance of me seeing Gandalf riding a pink unicorn but still, dreams can come true right?
They need to rehire hire John lasseter in order to fix Pixar
If Bob doesn't Go, nothing Will rally change
As far as I'm concerned, Disney has been cremated. There's no turning back.
He will get fired upwards! And someone worse will take over for him.
On her own... nothing.
The biggest things that Disney has to do is stop with that Woke Bs
I disagree about the change in tone between series being a bad thing. The Marvel Universe is a setting, not really a genre. It's a good thing that Daredevil has a very different tone than Fantastic Four, for example. They are very different genres of stories despite both having superheroes. Insisting on a unified tone for all of the Marvel Universe would be very constricting and not a good thing.
Encanto was better then soul , but it didn’t have original hype . Nobody was flinging to get excited over it just by merit of being Disney, they had to see the reviews first before going ahead and watching it
I threw Disney under the bus, after they backed Hollywood Candy,,#IMNOTABOUTTURD
This is what happens when you get to big as a creative company 🤷♂️. Wrong people get involved for the wrong reasons
