Article 4, Section 4 of The Constitutions for the United States of America:
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, ...”
Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance also states that we are a Republic.
Plus, neither The Constitution nor state constitutions have the word democracy in them.
