    What can I say mate, amazing.
    I love how you do all those ''tweaks'' and hints and put all those into a ''laymans terms'' manner.
    Everyone could understand those ''tutorials'' you give us.
    The only thing I kind don't like is that my NFC signal is not good enogh on my S22 Ultra, so I struggle to find the best place to put my Tangem1.0 and 2.0 when authorizing or doing anything with the cards themselves.
    But I guess I will learn, or buy a new phone xD
    Enough of that, I do admire your crypto skills and sharing them with us.
    You are one of a kind, keep on smiling my friend :)
    Thank you!

      Thank you for the kind words it is comments like this that makes my day and gives me a boost of motivational power :). If you have a case on your phone that can hinder the signal, I use a Google pixle 2 and a google pixel 6 and thry both have cases, the pixle 2 has a thin case and I can get a signal but the pixel 6 the case is thicker and most of the time I have to remove the case to get a signal.

    Good to know! and i guess the access code still works on the single card wallet because it's already set. Even if tangem says "The access code can only be set if a backup is created."

    • @BetterHumanz
      @BetterHumanz  8 месяцев назад

      Access code was created in the initial setup with the backup card, so on a single card it is still active.

    Awesome. Thanks
    Do you happen to have a video on one seed phrase on multiple wallets?
    I want to import my Exodus seed phrase onto my Tangem. I don’t think there is a problem doing this, but there are coins such as theta which are supported by exodus and not by Tangem . Do you think this will be a problem?
    Thank you for any help
    Ps…. I do anticipate that one day Tangem will be able to hold theta.

      You are welcome
      I do in my new course that is oh so close, but not on this YT channel.
      As long as you have your seed phrase you can import to any wallet that allows you to import or restore using your recovery phrase (seed phrase)
      There is no problem with any wallet not displaying THETA only the fact you won't see your blance, but I am sure Tangem will get it added over time.

    Cool trick! I have two questions though, does this mean you have “two” separate hardware wallets now and can i do the same trick using seed phrases instead of tangem’s TRNG at setup?
    Wallet-1: one card (seed phrase will be the extra back up for this wallet, if setup)
    Wallet-2: two cards (one primary card and one secondary/backup card) plus seed phrase of this wallet-2, if setup
    If i lose wallet-1 related card then i can buy a different hardware wallet and import the wallet-1 using seed phrase-1, which is different to wallet-2.
    Is my understanding, correct?
    Thank you 😊

    • @BetterHumanz
      @BetterHumanz  4 месяца назад

      Yes, when you do this you have 2 separate Tangem wallets and you can use your own seed phrase for each wallet. So if in the event you were to lose your wallet then you have your seed phrase to recover the assets.

    Just got my tangem, leaning towards creating a seedphrase. Is it 100% safe if I create my phrase in airplane mode even though the 2 backups do connect to the internet during setup? the tangem team is saying its safe since it uses a certificate and never exposes your seedphrase to the internet. Is that true?

  • @yrp237
    @yrp237 8 месяцев назад +1

    Sorry, that was like 3 card Monte. A bit hard to follow but although I think I understand what you did. I can't follow your explanation as to WHY? Next time, slower, use better visuals to track the 3 cards and explain the goal much, much, much better. All I see is you have 1 card with no backup (very unsafe!) for 1 account and then 2 cards for 2nd account...both using same passcode. What is gained???

    • @BetterHumanz
      @BetterHumanz  8 месяцев назад

      It is very straight forward. You are using this technique if you have seed phrases and want to use more than one account with 3 cards.

    Very good.. I know you don’t know everything but you do know a lot.
    2 Questions:
    Can this hack be performed on an existing three card system all ready created. If so; what you’re saying is the main card has no back up right? While on the app it still shows that it has a 3 card wallet.. right?
    What is the app showing after the hack?
    I’m looking to purchase another three card system but I need to know what’s really happening. My goal here is to create 3 sets of a 2 card system. If you can make another video in detail of the outcome of the hack it would be appreciated. I’m sure others have the same or other curiosity.

    • @BetterHumanz
      @BetterHumanz  8 месяцев назад +1

      Your Question:Can this hack be performed on an existing three card system all ready created.
      Answer: Do you have your seed phrase as a backup or did you generate the seed phrase on the Tangem cards on activation? If you have the seed phrase backed up then yes because you can reset 2 cards and then create a new account using those 2 cards. If you dont have the seed phrase backed up then you would be risking only having one card as your main backup which is not a good idea at all.
      Your Question: what you’re saying is the main card has no back up right?
      Answer: You only preform this hack if you have backed up your seed phrase, you wouldn't only have one card as a backup without have first backed up your seed phrase
      .
      Your Question: While on the app it still shows that it has a 3 card wallet.. right?
      What is the app showing after the hack?
      Answer: The app will show 2 cards + Seed phrase in the app because you have to have 2 cards minimum to create an account. Even if you only have 1 card for the account it will still show you have 2 cards because it doesnt know you have reset the other card.
      Your Comment: My goal here is to create 3 sets of a 2 card system.
      Answer: you can do that but I would always have a seed phrase for each 2 card set backed up externally.

    how do we know that all the private keys ever generated by tangem are not derived from a master key they own?

    • @BetterHumanz
      @BetterHumanz  8 месяцев назад +3

      Where are the keys stored?
      Wallet keys, which are needed to manage your funds, are created when you activate your card. The keys never leave the chip after the wallet activation and are not transferred anywhere. The primary purpose of the chip is to keep the keys safe and secure.
      How are wallet keys generated?
      The key is generated on the card using a hardware random number generator during card activation. The entropy for the random number is taken from the chip’s physical sensors. This means that no one can ever know your private key. The hardware random number generator is a component of the Samsung-produced chip. You can read the safety assessment document via this link.
      How is the private key cloned on the backup cards?
      When a backup is created, a secure communication channel is established between the cards using the Diffie-Hellman key exchange protocol, after which the keys are transferred from one card to the other. This mechanism is fully protected against man-in-the-middle attacks since the first step involves the cards authenticating each other with a two-way attestation, and the encryption is done with a 256-bit key. This is a top-level encryption protocol, and the application will not be able to decrypt the keys under any circumstances.
      Is there a seed phrase in the wallet?
      Tangem does not use BIP39 (seed phrase) technology, believing it to be highly insecure. The presence of a key in plain sight is a potential vulnerability. Firstly, hot and "warm" wallets always have access to this key, which can be hacked. Secondly, having the key in an unsecured location at home, work or elsewhere always involves the potential risk of compromise. Instead, Tangem offers a backup on 2 or 3 identical cards. The cards hold the keys and never share them with anyone; they are protected by an access code. You therefore have 2 or 3 duplicate keys for one vault (your wallet). They are equal, so you can keep them in different places and use any of them. The most important thing is that the keys are never in public view during their life-cycle. No bug or vulnerability in the software can expose the key at the moment it is generated. It is totally safe and secure.
      How do I find out my private key?
      The card is based on a chip that generates a private key during the wallet creation process, using a hardware random number generator. The entropy for the random number is taken from the chip’s physical sensors. The key never leaves the chip in an unencrypted state or after the wallet is activated. The chip's primary purpose is to keep the key safe and secure.
      This means that no one can ever find out your private key. The secret is safe, even from you.
      Where is the guarantee that the manufacturer doesn’t know the key?
      The Tangem card doesn't have a private key initially. The key is generated when the wallet is created and the card is tapped against the mobile device. Moreover, public and private keys will be regenerated if you reset the card to factory settings and recreate the wallet.
      The firmware has been audited by the independent Swiss company Kudelski Security. The firmware audit confirms that the private key is created using a hardware random number generator and that there are no other backdoors or bugs that could result in the loss of funds. The results of the Kudelski Security audit are available

    Hi, I ordered the Tangem 2.0. But can't sleep until I resolve this question...Can I recover my 24-seed phrase and paraphrase from my Ledger Nano S, unto my Tangem 2.0, and then assume that if I ever lose all my Tangem cards, I could then still recover my accounts with my old Ledger Nano S? ... or does the import into Tangem creates another different set of seeds?

    • @BetterHumanz
      @BetterHumanz  8 месяцев назад +1

      If you have your seedphrase and your passphrase then you can recover it from a few different tools, however when you import that seedphrase into Tangem it won't show you the account behind the passphrase because Tangem doesn't use passphrases

    • @jgl_investor
