Chinese Excavator Kymron ZX22 Broke down AGAIN! FIX

  • In this video we go and make an attempt to take out the Kymron ZX22 Chinese Excavator to use on a job site which we had to demo out. The plan was to dig out the walk pathways with it and utilize our mini skids to haul away the dirt while the excavator left clean and graded paths. Well to the best of my abilities that is.
    However, if you remember on the previous video we had a short that kept blowing the top fuse and while we did have it run once, it did it again and this time for good.
    The machine wouldn't allow me to put in another fuse without blowing it. So we had to hire help of diesel mechanics and at the end one of them who knew how to chase the wiring, was the one was able to help me find it and fix it.
    The problem ended up being a rubbed through wire that lead to a small computer in the back of the machine. The problem was there was a right angle piece of support that must be just close enough to strip the wire bare with the vibration of a running machine. he pulled the plug and fixed it along with the wire.
    To the surprise we also ended up finding that we had a cracked diesel tank and while it is not a permanent fix, We were able to patch it and got it to run again.

    Couple of years ago, I bought a generic ZH15 I think it is. When time came and I had to replace the battery, the area for the battery was too small to get it out, least to say, I was amazed. So I of course enlarged the opening and now it is easy to replace the battery. Mine is in the rear of the machine. I love my Lil excavator, it is a work aholic. When I ordered it, I upgraded to the Kubota diesel. Worth every penny extra.

Like I said these are videos I would of wanted to see. Tough though since I am working on the field all the time and do these as I can! That rattle is awful! Little plugs worked well so far as the metal that secures the panels is not a solid size, it gets wider further back.

    • @BeyondMachinery
      @BeyondMachinery  7 месяцев назад +1

      That would be a really good idea. It isn’t much once you take the panels apart. It is pretty open from there, I would just check the wires for sure at the very least. Aside from that by 10-hours you should be able to see if there are any leaks starting or present. Keep us updated!

      @Chrisrosado3929 At the time I had 3 hours on the machine which is what blew my mind. Granted I do feel these problems were already coming up since it seemed way too little time to run through wiring and the tank just came bad. Very thin material on the tank for sure. I’d like to see if a plastic one could be modified on to it. That would hold up a lot better with time and vibration.

      I originally was looking at the same model Kymron. There was an extremely long delivery time for it to be shipped here. I went with a Groundhog brand with a similar comparison to your model. So far it has been running well. I bought the machine with 4 attachments and it was still cheaper than Deere, Kubota, and Bobcat by several thousand. The price comparison for the name brands did not include attachments or hydraulic thumbs.

      As someone who purchased a used E20 a year ago, I can tell you it is probably better in almost every way.
      And the E20 has a joystick mounted button to control the thumb. It seems to me these Chinese units have gotten to be enough money where the difference isn't that big of a deal to upgrade to the name brand while at the same time lacking the comforts and features and reliability of the name brands.

    I have an H65, and it's problematic from top to bottom. It jerks like you're riding a bull. It only has 23 hours, and I'm machining the bushings and pins to adjust the tractor's sloppiness. Nearly all the bolts were loose, none with any thread lock. It just seems to me that once received from China, the machine was never even gone through. I don't think I could recommend anyone purchasing a Kymron unit.
