One of my favorite tracks from the early 80s.
Fade To Grey by Visage (1981)
The composition is written by Billy Currie and Chris Payne during the sound checks for Gary Numan's Pleasure Principle Tour in 1979
featured: Moog Minimoog, the PPG wave 2.2 and the ARP Quadra
This cover song series contains my own recreations of my favourite songs from the last 50 years. The original music from which I take inspiration belong to their respective owners. I recreate tracks only for personal passion and to pay homage to these tracks.
My intention is not to create covers that sound exactly like the original (if you want to hear identical sounds, please listen the original). It's more of an inspiration with my sounds from the old synthesizers from the past and of course the great appreciation for the original performers and producers.

Wow, what a fantastic demo of this song. Many beautiful synths being used here to make this. Just takes you back to when this song was in the charts. Was only a little child then lol. Geil, diesen Song wird man noch in 50 Jahren spielen. Midge Ure hat ihn vor ein paar Jahren bei uns in der Zeche Bochum gespielt… Gänsepelle sag ich nur! Die Demo ist super getroffen. Der ARP ist auch einfach Mega. 👍🏻

@@retrosound72 So true. For my situation I want to start up a new prog band, one that focuses in the works of Genesis, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer and rush. For my rig, I want to use authentic, period-centric sounds. I know the psyche of true Genesis fans. And performing the solos on Cinema show and other greats on the And Then There Are Three and Duke albums, it is always disappointing to here Tony's solos on new syth, and not on a Pro Soloist.

So evocative!
The composer of Fade to Grey, Chris Payne, has a RUclips chanel where he explains how he came to write it with Billy Currie, and how Midge Ure and Rusty Egan made it into the final product. A song that, for me, defined an entire era of music, and is responsible for my love of synths. He started writing it when he was at college as a music student.

Belle reussite de cover, qsurtout qu'i n'est pas facile d'avoir toutes les machines d'origines du morceau CR78, Fairlight ect.
