    We’re Disabled Seniors with our Son who is a Paraplegic and just getting READY IS AN ADVENTURE HEHEHE. We are just recently became RockHounds and Lapidary. I Brought this to their attention to see if it would lift their Spirits and it Did as well as mine. Because seeing their Eyes Light Up Brought Joy To My Heart.     White jade was brought up as well!

    Based on hardness to cut I'd make the call that it's Nephrite jade.

    Amiphoble, actinolite is not nephrite or jadeite. Most nephrite or old jade is from China and jadeite is mainly found in Burma.

      Yeah easiest way I like to remember it is Nephrite is an Amphibole, but all Amphiboles aren’t Nephrite. I’d still give them a benefit of the doubt since they probably don’t have a lab locally to send to for further advanced testing for identification.
