@ Ryland Behrens-- For some reason I can't directly reply to your comment. Anyways, the JP4 can make many sounds like BOC use in their earlier work. Going back to the Old Tunes tracks you can hear the Roland sound on a lot of their work. I've never really tried directly making any of their sounds, this sound reminded me of this song without doing an A/B comparison... upon listening later to compare it is different but close.
Thank you for sharing this. Their gear is always shrouded in mystery. Granted, it isn't the gear that makes them special, rather their aesthetic. I'm curious, though... have you been able to duplicate any other BoC sounds on this synth?
