Happy Thanksgiving, Greg! I'm thankful for you, sharing your love of detecting with the world. 🦃 So many great finds that give us a glimpse of life in the past. My favorite was the good luck pendant. Take care, and we'll see you again soon.🤗
Happy Thanksgiving, Greg. No video is complete without another railroad spike . It would be great to be able to hunt with you one day. Can you let Chris know, I'm wishing him and his family a Happy Thanksgiving as well!!
Awesome finds! Was there also a railroad track that was along that field? Last week after watching your video and thinking that I want to find a spike in my town I went out metal detecting and was so happy to find my first railroad spike! The railroad that came through our town was shut down in 1964.
Greg, Happy Thanksgiving to you and family. Loved all of the photos, I saw one from Minnesota😀. Loved the good luck token, door handle and broach pin. The ax head was a bonus. Nice IHP and wheat cents. You had a wonderful day of finds.👍👏😀
Only 4 hours? That's allot of diggin! I'm curious of how much trash you dig during that time.. I think my favorite find was the good luck token in the beginning! Awesome video!❤
Happy Thanksgiving! Great video. I loved the key tag. It looked like it said it was located at Main and Gay Street which is right in the center of downtown Knoxville. For sure a Great location to hunt
Great Americana finds. I'm thinking maybe all the RR spikes might have gotten there if they used old RR ties to set out rows in the parking lot era, obviously in the automobile era, not the horse and buggy days,
The suspender looking clip, i did some looking around, and i believe it's from a salesmans sample. If you look up vintage suspender clip salesmans sample, you will see they used to attach a bunch of different designs to a small board. Happy Thanksgiving Greg, tell Chris I said Happy Thanksgiving as well. Thank You Greg and another really great episode.
Some cultures and people believe that throwing salt over there shoulder brings good luck! Maybe that's what happened, except the salt shaker lid flew off. So you got a triple dose of luck.😊
The salt over the shoulder is old school superstition.. When table salt is accidentally spilled on the table, grab a pinch and toss it over your shoulder... The actual meaning of the practice has something to do with blinding the evil one who is always at your shoulder...🤔 Meh 😑
I'll bet someone will guess that little whatzit will be a latch to something or other!---Pretty funny "'cause that's what you do with these iron holes!"---Sad photo of that huge felled tree being celebrated. If they only knew...
That “Good Luck”…what a treasure for a detectorist! I’d have it in my pocket from now on!
The second mystery find was a magnet from a Ford model T magneto that was mounted on the flywheel.
Thanks for great content!

I found a real small Finks Red Bar button a few years back, one of my favorites.

The MYSTERY FIND looks kind of like a small belt buckle. ❤
Happy Thanksgiving GREGE!
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Greg, the curved iron could be a magnet?
I believe that last mystery find held leather handle to a trunk or suitcase
Your second mystery find could that be part of a strap system on a old luggage once close you can strap it like a buckle?
I was curious as to why the heads were cut off of some of the railroad spikes?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Do you keep all those railroad spikes. You must have a pile a mile high😂
I've seen old bar magnets shaped like the "V" one you dug up, they were not very powerful to begin with.
Magnet is out of a magneto for a car, possibly a model T ford.
Check the 1927 wheat cent. It looked like the die was rotated.
Railroad clip
I'll bet someone will guess that little whatzit will be a latch to something or other!---Pretty funny "'cause that's what you do with these iron holes!"---Sad photo of that huge felled tree being celebrated. If they only knew...
The v shaped piece is an iron core part off an old magneto like on an old crank phone or car magneto.
Yep, recognized it immediately.
Well by the tracks you normally find pocket watches
Are you in Tennessee?
Yes, I am in East Tennessee. Thanks for watching this episode. ATB Greg
If it stops raining I’m going out today
That’s a lot in the 4 hours
i think they played horseshoes at their picnics.
You certainly never know what you will find
Happy Thanksgiving
