This movie is no where near as bad as you're saying, My Dad is 75 and grew up with the old monster movies, But he still also knows its 2025 and movies change. I understand that you're an either its good or its bad kind of person And Godzilla Minus One is also full of CGI
@@jasoncastor8535 First off, it's all a matter of opinion, there are no "facts" here. And I don't have to think like your dad. Secondly, just "because it's 2025 and movies change", that doesn't mean they are going to be palatable for everyone's tastes. Nor are they required to be. Thirdly, GODZILLA MINUS ONE is also a new movie from the 2020s, yet I awarded it 4/4 stars and consider it perhaps the BEST Godzilla film of all time, including those "old man says get off my lawn cuz 60s and 70s good old days were when they knew how to make good movies" old Godzilla flicks. Yes, I am aware that there was CGI in the Japanese made GODZILLA MINUS ONE, but it still was done well and with class with strong characterization and a deep family story -- and was even nominated for the Academy Awards! .....while THE NEW EMPIRE was sloppy and fake, cartoony-looking CGI that had monsters bouncing around like some Marvel or DC Superhero comic book joke, punctuated with inappropriate Rock music. Didn't you hear me say in the first minute of this video: "I'll take well done CGI when it looks good like in the later Japanese Godzilla movies"..? Fourthly -- no, I have never been a "it's bad or it's good guy" (whatever that means)... I see shadings and greys in between, most of the time.
I saw it in theater because I see everything Godzilla, but I personally think of Godzilla as only real if it’s made in Japan with practical effects. Then, the Japanese CGI movies are semi-legit (because I happen to like them) and all the American stuff is the pretenders. I don’t hate the Legendary movies, though. I just consider them a lower level. The best of them, imo, is “Kong Skull Island.”
The only thing I liked about this movie was Kong, his character was the only one who had an interesting personality. Everything else felt flat and lifeless, I tried watching it a second time and was bored the whole way through. Minus one had better characters, story and effects.
This new cgi that they use for movies like this now I think looks terrible...with the amount of money they spend to make these movies you would think they could make it look at least somewhat realistic but it just looks totally fake

lol 😂 I saw the rubber suit lol 😂 I’m good
Godzilla Minus One's budget was just a fraction of what it cost to make this turd.
@@robertsaul234 just goes to show it's not about budget.

Did You like the Godzilla movie with Matthew Broderick
@robbiedetroitstigermanviny8883 ... I HATED IT.
If you watch the monster parts slowed down 25% it looks wayyyyy better.

That really sounds like a crummy movie. I certainly won't be watching that one. I can just imagine how bored you were while watching it.
I can never get that time back.
Unfortunately, that is true. Next time, just put on a Laurel & Hardy film!
