Around 0.26 Author says that the Druid believes in many things. Wish instead he'd say that Druids EXPERIENCE many things.

Stonehenge pre-dates the Druids who were the priesthood of the warrior worshipping, war mad Iron Age Britons, constantly engaged in land disputes and tribal conflict...the megalithic builders were of an entirely different culture and religion. It's no coincidence that today all the various Druid Orders or whatever are also in constant dispute, bickering with each other, slagging each other off and love the drama of power struggles, just like their Iron Age ancestors...

as a Druid myself,i sometimes have to argue the point that Stonehenge was nothing to do with Druids,in fact it was in the early 20th century that Druids started using it for ritual

    • @stefanseniuk339

No disrespect but I don't know what you mean when you say your a Druid? How did you earn that title? Druidry seems to be in the unique situation that everyone who becomes interested in the subject instantly gets self promoted to the status of Druid...immediate empowerment, one can certainly see the attraction in these times of being unable to delay gratification. The hippy movement has also totally high jacked the tradition and grafted onto it, it's own culture, values, behaviour and ethics. It would be nice to see something new evolve to challenge the movements comfort zone and put the traditions feet back on the ground. No robes, the hippy influence held in check and no self appointed titles...

@@stefanseniuk339 and you are correct,I was spiritual I got into a discussion and realised the feelings I had about my ancestors and culture were actually Druidry,so yes I did self proclaime I'm a Druid,I don't deny it and if others say that I can't be a Druid, then that's their problem not mine,I know is what I feel inside and I do not need to justify it to anyone, but I thought I would explain it to you as you were polite,I hope that answer d your question

@@andruid5054 Personally I had to drop the term Druid altogether. Because it mixes various half understood, at best, religions together into something that bears no resemblance to what the Druids used to be. Personally what I call myself now after labelling myself a Druid for 21 years is simply, 'Native'. This just feels more honest and reflects what I'm truly doing, following the various native, pre-Roman traditions of Britain and the more we are at least learning about what the megalith culture was not, I find myself being able to separate that religion from Druidry. Watch, Who killed the people of Stonehenge. It seems likely the Druids may be connected to the Bell Beaker People invasion, that wiped out and entirely exterminated the Megalithic population of the UK, the same thing probably happened in Ireland, if not the whole of Europe. Some kind of genocide happened because there is no trace of the Neolithic Farmers DNA left in our population today. The only DNA that remains in us from that time period is Indo-European. They came out of the Steppes with their horses, chariots and metal weapons and butchered everyone in their path. These are the people associated with the Druids
