That bridge is in a cracking state, just goes to show the workmanship. Love that Platelayers Hut and the fact it is still standing, next time I'm down that way I'll try to find it.
Nice one Neil! I hadn't been over that bridge before, but have photographed the platelayers hut in early 1990's. The bridge is so narrow up top. I think less than a car width, your estimate?
Great video mate. I had a giggle when you tried to show how tall the bridge parapets were. You said about the camera being at your height. It kinda helps, but since we don't know how tall you are... 😁 I did a little recce on the National Library of Scotland maps and Googls Earth. It's really nice to see that the old Station Master's house is still there, and well maintained, sitting next to where the road bridge used to be, and incorporated as part of the farm complex on the old station site.
