Love it, I think of organization like a helper, that shows up every day, making it easy to get your gear and reminding you when something is missing. I’m in New England as well, down by Foxwoods. I as well am a remodeler/ finish carpenter. I closed on so many estimates before I even gave them numbers from letting the customers do a walk through in the trailer, showing my designs and how I approached problem solving and preparedness. I have a walk through video up here as well. I love how this tool trailer thing is stepping everyone’s game up. Seeing the creativity. Unfortunately, I had a tree fall on my tool trailer so I gotta rebuild. I look forward to version 2 of my set up cause hind sight is 20 20. Hope you have a profitable year!
You just gave me an inspiration bro. I really appreciate this video. You did an absolute awesome job with your trailer. I do remodeling as well. This is definitely my to do list tomorrow
We LOVE what you did with the trailer and are very glad we could assist in getting you what you were looking for! You guys are doing an incredible job!
Hoping you start doing videos of your remodels. Based on the amount of detail and thought that went into building the trailer I can only imagine what your remodels look like. Please share more.
Thank you. Exactly why I designed it the way I did. I did get some ideas from the Paulk trailer but made it more for my style and crew. I wanted to make it simple and make sure everything had a “home” , my goal was to have anyone be able to find anything/tool within 2 minutes. It has worked flawlessly and makes for a happier working day.
That’s awesome man that’s the feed back I love. I took some ideaS from the ron paulk trailer but his is so complex I wanted something lighter and simpler to build. Thanks man!
Nice video and love the trailer 👍🏻 keep up the good work. Being really organized is just part of doing the projects. Unfortunately sometimes we’re to organized for our own good Lol ✌🏻
Great video! Guard that trailer, it will attract thieves like crack cocaine. Unless you have a rider policy your insurance will not cover the contents. A friend of mine lost almost every tool he had in a trailer theft. They took it from his driveway after they punctured the tires on his two vehicles, it was found damaged three days later completely empty.
EXCELLENT BUILD! I recently bought a 7x14 trailer myself for my business and browsing for ideas. Your build is by far the most practical from my perspective in our field. I definitely want to incorporate some of your ideas into my own. Any chance you have a set of drawings?
Excellent, continued success 🙏 You did forget to comment on the catch all area, but I am sure we can assume it to be a central location from which miscellaneous is returned to its proper place when time permits.
I’m going to be doing a updated video and that one thing I’m definitely going to cover. We use a packout crate for our end of day cleanup “drop zone “ .
Do you have a power source aside from the truck's power? Generator? If so, where did you hide it? You mention hardwiring, hardwiring to what source? Great build! I'm in no way trying to be negative or disrespectful, just curious! Thanks!
Hey man thanks for the comment! So we only use truck power to power up all the lighting inside. We have an outlet on the front of the trailer that we can plug-in when we’re on site using 120 V that power is up a couple receptacles in there that are hardwired into my compressor and we are currently putting some 120 V lighting in also. We don’t do much new construction so we almost always have power on site so it’s really not something I worry too much about. I keep saying I’m gonna make a new video but we’ve been so busy this summer I’m gonna try to have some downtime in the next few days and get a really good video more in depth let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like me to talk about about the trailer.
That's awesome man thanks for the info. I don't do much new construction either but there has been a time when a homeowner didn't want me to plug in a single DeWalt battery charger and "increasing" their electric bill lol. Also, while building fences, I've found myself wishing I had a small generator or had a 120v receptacle wired to truck power mostly because I didn't feel like running 300ft of extension cord from the house. Keep doing what you're doing man, you're an inspiration to us all! In your next video maybe you could go a little more in depth on the electrical stuff in your trailer! Thanks
Feeling the same here. Done with tools flying around and breaking my back (and sanity) looking for them. Thinking about enclosed trailer as well. How much did just trailer cost you? I will guess around 10K. Setup looks great. Functional for sure. Thanks for sharing. 👽
@@chriscont01 Yes i second Matthews comment. I just bought a 6x12 enclosed and I checked out RUclips for inspiration and found your video. As I said in a previous comment yours is the best set up I have seen. Would love to see some additional photos so I can picture how to alter it for my smaller trailer. Please share your instagram or however you intend to share the content, huge thanks you are a clever man. If your trailer is this nice I cannot imagine your quality of work for your clients. I bet they are raving fans haha
That's about 1,100 pounds just in plywood . What are you allowed gross weight on that trailer? I'm considering doing the same been running an e450 14 foot box truck for years. Absolutely sweet setup you got their brother
I've been doing high end remodels for years and am envious of your set up. I have an 8' trailer and just feel like I have too many places that's hard to get something larger into. How do you cope?
First thank you Johnny! Yeah there’s definitely a few places where it’s tough luckily my part of Massachusetts there is a lot of large estates with big driveways. My other big motto for our business is we stick with one job till it’s done and pride our self with being efficient so I try to leave the trailer on site for as much as possible. It’s literally like an extension of my body though I have always worked out to trailers I tried vans for a little while and go right back to trailers I always make it work!
@@chriscont01 Our businesses sound very similar. I'm over in WA state and the majority of my remodel work is very old houses in Tacoma. There value is skyrocketing and people are upgrading them. Problem is that not many have driveways. I end up parking in a lot of alleys. I agree about vans. I don't like having my job held up due to mechanical issues so trailers are best. I might pick up a larger trailer in addition to my small one and see if it works out. Thanks for the response!
We provide the same premium service to all of our clients I was just strictly stating what we specialize in. there is definitely a big difference between new home construction and high-end remodeling versus fix and flips etc…
The trailer dry is 1600 pounds. That’s one of the reasons I went with aluminum help with fuel mileage and efficiency even though I got a big diesel truck. I’m estimating completely loaded with built in shelving I would probably be around 5000 pounds so it leaves me about 2000 pounds for extra material payload. It’s definitely way lighter than my previous set up which was a steel frame carmate 14‘wide
@@chriscont01 you could probably sell your drawings, I bought a standard 2 car garage plan on Pinterest and happily paid $19.99 for it. Yeah today was in the 20s here and I was really thinking about adding some kind of heat source, A lot of guys don’t understand what we deal with ,it’s a job just keeping our glues and caulking from freezing
The weights actually not that bad.
