Thank you so much for trying to answer my computer labs question - it's hard to find information about it. I was going to view it on the offer holders day but as that's cancelled I'm a little stuck. Thank you for all of your help and insights and I love your videos 💚
No problem, sorry I couldn’t answer it better! Ah yeah that sucks 😩 if anyone says anything I’ll let you know! Good luck with uni, hope you have the best time 💚
Hi, I’m not actually at uni yet but I’m starting Computer Science this year and was also curious haha. From the offer holder day and stuff they seem pretty good. I think they said there’s different labs at various sizes like for Linux, windows and mac? Still not too sure but I think there alright 😅
hi claire🤍this video was very helpful! i have one last question; is it easy to find a student job at Exeter? I mean; do the university guide you in this process? Do there are jobs available in town? thank you for the answer and for you lovely content always. 🥰
glad it helped!! yes there are jobs in town and on campus, lots of students work in shops or cafes. I don't know if the university directly helps with that, but it has a career hub and we regularly get emails about paid internships in the area that you apply to through the university. They help us write our CVs and offer workshops for job interviews :)
Great video. I'm starting at Exeter for maths in September (if my teachers give me good enough grades). Your videos are really helpful! I'm currently trying to pick accommodation, working out which order to put St Germans, Lafrowda, Birks and Rowe house. There are building works in lafrowda and birks that are making things more difficult. Any advice?
glad they help! Tbh the rooms are pretty similar no matter where you are so I'd pick more based on if you want catered/ self-catered, an en-suite, etc. I only have experience with Birks and Lafrowda, I was in the Birks dining halls in first year and it was pretty good. St Germans and Rowe house seem nice though and are by Lafrowda (which for maths is a better location than Birks). Hope that helps with your decision!
In the UK most students do a dissertation in the final year of undergrad, but it depends on the subject and university! It's nowhere near as in-depth as a PhD thesis though
Oooh I love this, I’m starting uni in September if all this blows over, so this is really useful thank you!❤️

Dissertation is only used for a Phd here in Germany, is it different in the UK?
