All cars have their own pros and cons. No car is perfect. Honda City is a proven car through decades. I can point out tens of shortcomings in the cars you have recommended to be good.

They always say bad things about honda but honda owners are most satisfied till date. All other cars will become trash after 4 years but honda will still be like new. These guys don't know the true characteristics of a honda engine. It is purposefully made to provide power at mid and top end. Your heavy doors are of no use if car doesn't protect you in crash. Honda makes light car while also being safe. All other manufacturers claim to use high tensile steel but only honda actually uses it.
Its not engine noise it's a VTEC roar which tigor and sail owners can't understand

I have Honda City 2021 ZX CVT variant and have'nt experienced any of the issues highlighted here. This is my second Honda City after the previous 3rd Gen 2010 CVT. I was so happy with my previous City that I decided to go with the same car again. The only gripe I had with the previous City was its low ground clearance which they have improved in this new model. No complains so far!!

The DOHC has done wonders for this new gen Honda City. I own one and the roar of an IVTEC gets the heart racing like no other car in this segment.

Honda connect is horrible- earlier used its fuel log but in due course of time, shifted to notebook- pen😂😂

Actually i own Honda city 2020 5th gen.
I am facing an issue of continuous tyre burst whenever i travel on long journeys.
Company told me its because of underinflated tyre..
Could you please tell me the correct tyre pressure which i should keep during city ride and in highways

Hello Saksham!
The tyre burst could be due to numerous reasons viz Road condition, any sharp object enroute or may the quality of tyre itself.
However as far as tyre pressure is concerned keep it 35 psi for front and 30 psi for rear. Try using Nitrogen gas instead of normal air, keeps tyre cool.

Interiors of the Honda look & feel upmarket compared to the plasticky interiors of Creta. V-Tec is a gem of a engine in terms of performance and driveability. Yes, the engine noise is audible, shayad thoda sporty sound dene ke liye kiya ho.

Really 4th gen is far better than 5th one. Honda has really downgraded its quality levels. For instance, notice the IRVM. In 4th gen, it is frameless auto dimming IRVM which looks awesome, but 5th gen has that cheap black plastic all around the IRVM. Also, notice the housing of power windows. In 4th, it is silver painted, whereas in 5th, again it has that cheap black plastic. We have a 4th gen facelift and in my view, it looks, performs and feels far ahead of 5th gen. Wish Honda had kept VX and ZX of 4th gen still on sale. (suicidal- then no one will buy 5th gen😂).

Design of 5th gen is better and has better road presence than 4th gen
Cabin visibility is also good,bonnet is visible while driving..ps bonnet is not visible in any sedan except city
There is no sense 4th gen now because its outdated and in resale 5th gen will be better choice becoz its a new gen

@@IndianStudent17 appreciate that honda has feature loaded city's base Variant (unlike seltos and creta- worst cars to buy in 2021). ESP, hill hold, hill descent were there in 4th gen too. Build quality is same for your kind knowledge 😂, quality of door doesn't infer the vehicles build quality (for instance- seltos).
4th gen and 5th gen share the exact same chassis (slightly modified to house newly designed parts). So no point arguing in build quality- it was poor (kind of) in 4th gen, and is poor in 5th gen too. Mk1 looks sporty, MK2 looks more of a business class of vehicles, MK3 looks sporty, mk4 pre facelift looks horrible, mk4 facelift looks sporty like 1st gen civic, mk5 looks a bit bald (hope honda fixes this with a facelift after 2 years❤️)
@@IndianStudent17 also, forgot to mention in earlier comment- blindspots are same- thick A Pilar. Honda has concentrated on safety materialistically only, fundamentals are still the same which definitely needed a change as this chassis dates back to 3rd gen, 4th has heavily modified 3rd gen's chassis, not new. Also, this was carried on to 5th gen, which IMHO, shouldn't have happened. I'm glad that Honda this time updated the engine thoroughly. 4th gen has reworked 3rd gen's retuned 1.5

Built quality doesn't mean exterior sheet metal quality..it is how car performs in accident,cabin intactness etc

The car absorbed the impact and did not let anything happen to the dog, That's how cars now a days are designed so that harm is minimized to pedestrians, Its a 5 star rated car for safety and the car is designed to do that, that's a good thing, Coming to the engine sound, its deliberately let in, you wont find a sweeter sounding car within 30 Ls. Its done on purpose so that you get to hear the engine tone. there is no music that's better than a city revving at 7K rpm.
all IOT sensors use IOT sims which operate on 2G, The city uses one from Idea, so depends on Idea coverage in his area.
His service center experience has been bad from what I can tell. That happens especially in smaller towns.
I think he was beaten by the pseudo suv bug, however his family forced him to take this car so he is unhappy.
What about the rattles? Is that part of absorbing the impact 😂

@@justtube443 The rattles are just being experienced by some people, Most dont. On the numerous ownership forums where I am a member of mostly people dont experience any rattles. I solved one persons issue by fixing the Mat to the hook in the floorboard

Pros great engine, space , comfort, good safety kit and 5star asean ncap rating
This owner wanted to buy a suv and because of family pressure he bought a car which he did not like in the first place.
Cabin noise and connected features ka complaint sahi hai but comparing it to 4th Gen is stupid.
These two have a bias towards cars which have more outdoorsy capabilities and ground clearance.
In this price bracket none of the competing sedan is better than this car as of now.
i am owning a YARIS and after going through couple of reviews about honda city.. i think YARIS is best in class
Congrats on your 5th gen City V- best variant IMHO.
Quality levels are low when compared with 4th gen. For instance, notice IRVM. 5th gen's mirror is covered in cheap black plastic. But 4th offers a frameless auto dimming IRVM which looks awesome. Also, notice the door power window switch area- even ZX variant has black plastic surface which IMHO looks cheap. But 4th gen VX, ZX had silver painted ones which at least looks a bit better than 5th gen's.
Best variant- V MT/CVT, ZX CVT. 👍

But I agree to the fact that I expected even better from the brand city which is talked about. My 11 year old Fabia has better electrochromic irvm 😂
I bought ZX CVT in October. My car doesn't have issue of rattling noise or TPMS as described here. Yes, engine noise does creep in during hard acceleration, although it's more of a sporty note rather than any harsh noise. Also didn't have problem of car vibrating a lot on bad roads like they said in this video, in fact I find the suspension to be really good. Only on very sharp bumps it sometimes bottoms out.
One thing I'll agree with this owner's experience, the app does not always work very fast. Sometimes it does show wrong information like he mentioned, shows unlocked even when locked. That I've realised happens when the door is locked quite a while after engine is shut off. Basically the app shows the status of the car as of the time its engine was switched off. Sometimes on refreshing the app these discrepancies get corrected, sometimes not.
Only other complain that I have is about features, wireless charging, wireless android auto, cooled seats, electrically adjustable front seats, these should have been included. Also, although rear window has sunshade, it'd have been good if they would've given sunshades for rear side windows as well.

@@actiontaken4831 I find it good. Adequate engine power, good safety, useful features, large space, good looks, no complaints as such. It's a really good overall package for the price.
Better go with base varient, no fancy items, hence less tension. Wireless android auto, WL charging, cooled glove box, are all gimmicky. They are all below standard items w.r.t how much they are marketed.
Rattling noise mostly is from Door frame beadings inside the Door panel. They can be fixed and also cladding for doors must be thick rubber which avoids door rattling and airgaps.
Still I am going to buy Honda city petrol manual 😊

Honda City sirf unkeliye hai jo Driving karna pasand hai. Cabin noise jyada isliye hai kyunki V-tec ke engine ka avvaj jyada hota hai paar baki yon ke comparison mein bahaut acha hai aur satisfying feel deta hai jo v-tec engines jante hai. Aur mai bhi ek Honda ki gaadi ka owner hoon aur Engine ki reliability bahut achi hai. Aur ise mein Owner ko ek SUV chahiye thi aur leli Sedan aur dono ke driving experience mai bahut zyada Farak hai. Toh owner bina matlab ke na khush hie rahega na. Features ke bare mein manta hun ki Honda City thoda kumm hai.

Kyunki real life mein ek admi iss pure connected car tech ka sirf 2 features use mostly karega woh hein A/C on off or Car tracking. Aur app bhi dekhlo video pura kyunki woh Owner Creta jaisa experience City se chahta tha toh Owner apni car buying decision ache se nahi kar paya iski galti chupa raha hein aur dosh Honda City pe dal raha hein. Kyunki owner ne proper car research nahi ki aur apni sunni ki vajay dusre ki sunni.
Regarding TPMS, once it is triggered due to low pressure in any tyre it will remain flashing alert message on screen even after toping up air unless you recalibrate the system by resetting and driving the car at 50-60 km/hr speed for few minutes.
Its not a fault, it is just how indirect TPMS works.
It will also be triggered every time you refill the tyres as traction will change. And recallibration will be needed.

I own honda city vx 5 th gen. No such thing experienced best thing is the ground clearance which was drawback in previous city but now I have completed 5000 kms in 45 days and its experience at corners is the like the amount of confidence it offers at corners is the next level thing. This person who is saying creta creta in video now just listen to me 15-16 lakh ki gadi koi kya prefer karega compat gaadi jiss me 7-8 lakh ki gaadiyo jaisi space ho , insaan ko purra thaka dene jaisa body roll ho,honda city se kam power ho,jiska average bhi kam ho, long trip leg room ki wajah se legs cramp ho or ek FULL SIZE SEDAN jiss itni jagha hai ki back row leg space ki jagha ek bachhe ko sula sakte ho, jo mujhe city 16-17 aur highways pe 20-22 avg de rahi h, jo corners turn pe itna sa bhi body roll naa de aur sabse top notch chiz IVECT engine 20 ki speed pe 6 th gear pe bhi knocking na kare.

I'm having city 5th generation Vx manual petrol model and I am fully satisfied and loving the car experience.
Regarding Tyre pressure monitoring issue try to make it a habit to initialize the TMPS whenever you get your tyre pressure checked. You will not have such issues.

I am using ZX CVT 2020 5th Gen. I am totally satisfied with this car. I am not facing any of these issues which this Hyundai guy is pointing about. These guys are always out to promote Korean brands.
In real life no one does that hard revving. If you revv the engine hard you will definitely get noise from any engine. Myself own honda 5th gen city. I did not face any rattling noises or cabin noise in my driving. 5th gen city is luxurious, super silent and comfortable. Take test drive for yourself and take decision before buying
I own 5th generation city. I have not faced any issues till date. My cabin is super silent and handling is great though car is lengthier. Owner in this video is facing service issues from his dealer.

I have the 4th Generation Honda City. I took a test drive of the 5th Gen in Chennai. Cabin noise is a lot more in the 5th Gen. There are also rattling noises and my 4th Gen feels more solid bodywise.

I own both 4th and 5th generation city, these issues exist for some people. The squeaky noises are coming in some cases so it really depends from vehicle to vehicle. I have faced the shocker noise issue which the showroom promised to fix but other than that the car is absolutely amazing. There are no issues and you can easily go around in the city in the 3 rd gear.

@@nitish7707 If your requirement is SPACE, do not look beyond Honda City. My prime requirement was ample bootspace which only sedan can offer. Among these Ciaz has the most but on safety front I choose City 5th gen.
If space is not a concern, then you can go for Verna. In the end, safety, service and reliability should be top priority.

Last week I had similar scene with 4th gen city, a dog came in front when car was around 35kmph, bumper cracked from between, grill broke, and bumper fell there itself. Dog ran post that.

I didn't face any rattling or cabin noise
So I guess that the rattling noise is fixed in 2021 model

I have crossed 14,000 kms on Honda City 5th gen, absolutely no problem, except ground clearance.
Bhai vo engine noise nhi hai vo ivtec roar hai joki sirf high RPM pr ata hai, lower RPM pr car silent chlti hai , company ne iss gadi ko dono trike se tune kia hai , this car have 2 natures ,one is silent and pleasent in low rpms and second one is high engine growl and punchy engine at high rpms which is for enthusiasts.
This is car is built for both kind of drivers and honda did best job this time with 5 star rating to this car and rubber boundaries all over the car for better cabin insulation. But you guys aren't doing best job by misinterpreting the viewers because of lack of knowledge.

I am facing an issue of continuous tyre burst whenever i travel on long journeys.
Company told me its because of underinflated tyre..

ye cheez toh mic mein aari hogi na....LOL bhai sab gaadiyon ki thodi awaaz toh aayegi hi agar app low gear mein gaadi kheech rahe ho toh. Secondly its a v-tec motor its silent and loud both depending how you are driving. TPMS is working perfectly fine with mine and doesnt disturb even at 120kmph between Mum-Pune. Basically iske owner ko gaadi maintain karni nahi aayi. For all you out there, Faisal khan broke the Mercedes front Logo after hitting a bird on the road. Dont you all judge by these nonsense reviews.

I have planned to buy City ZX. But changed my mind to Vento HighLine. I didn’t feel like spending around 18L for a vehicle which has such a weak body. I didn’t feel safe in the City. For 14L(City V and VW HighLine), I just miss a few small electric features like push button start and all. But the quality VW offers is exceptional. Even after 9 years of usage there are no rattling sounds in the vehicle

And I personally own a city and there are 0 rattling noise in my car
And new generation Vento is going to launch next year so don't buy a car that will be discontinued in less than a year

Honda city is a nice car no complaints so far since I bought I own 4 cars all are different but if you ask me will you buy another sedan I'd go without 2nd thought. But yes for off roading best is fortuner 4×4 which we exchanged with our old model fortuner. But best car for daily ride is City

Seems like these guys personally like compact crossovers like creta etc. Honda city is one of the best spacious sedan with quality engine and interior. Better to buy such sedans rather than buying crossovers of hard black plastic.

HONDA will not be able to survive in India just by Honda City. They need to give more Value for Money Products. Civic is gone so is CRV hence now only they have is AMAZE and CITY hence they need to launch more products in India

Have 5th generation CVT. No idea what owner talks about. Absolutely silent cabin with no rattling noise whatsover.
I did not experience any rattling noise in cabin until and unless ivtec kicks in (above 4k rpm)
Once ivtec kicks in, then also the noise is sporty one, not harsh

3rd generation city was great. vw polo rapid etc was built on global platforms now they are making custom platform for India. Ford ecosport is removing underbody engine protection in some variant and selling cars.
Govt must reduce taxes to boost car sales for other manufacturers.

quality ke saath compromise kiya hai bahot Honda ne. Verna me rear seat space thoda kam hai city se but quality me kahin kami nhi kiya hai Hyundai ne. Hyundai is more promising than Honda nowadays. But City petrol engine is very reliable. And, Verna's 1.5 Mpi is new in market so can't say much.

I have Honda City vxmt .. I test drive creta also but city performs better . More comfortable . If you are more inclined towards creta seltos then do not buy city . It's a sedan with low positioning and has better shock absorbers than creta

Khokhli wali feeling! Sedans are like that only. SUV have long suspension travel so it can absorbs bumps. This video is more about cons of sedan than honda city. Bumpers comes off even in 1st gen city( personally experienced it). This is safety measure added for pedestrian safety.

I own honda City 5th gen zx CVT and i have driven it right now above 8000km and I feel like I m driving battery operated car no noise at all in petrol version and all features are working very well and smooth and silent and yes on CVT its way more smoother then another car and all wirless features don't work in low network areas but they work awesome and are useful

he is regretting for Creta after buying Honda City and I am regretting for Honda City after buying Tata Nexon. Rattling issues kya hote hai ek bar Nexon aur baki Tata cars chalake dekho with rattling issue. honda as a brand is very superior, few manufacturing defects are a matter of few models only. Mosly honda cars are free from any defects. Their driving experience is unmatchable to any other brand.
