to add, the side thats darker is also endgrain. whicxh soaks in finish/stain more so it becomes more pronounced. great explanation jordy!

I only watch jordy. He’s the only person that puts it simple enough for someone like me to understand . I not very educated and he doesn’t use big words or try to sound like he knows everything . I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again . Watching a Jordy tutorial is feels like a mate showing you the best way to do it . The best teachers speak your language
