Motorcycle trips are the most fun, if you want to take some eventful, memorable trips across country. I still remember my own motorcycle trip across half of the USA, right after college. Those hours of monotony across the Southwest, especially in the giant land of Texas, where some stretches of highways are straight as an arrow for hours...as are some of the stretches of highway through central California, from Bakersfield through Sacramento... The ride from Fresno through Yosemite to Reno, Nevada... down to Las Vegas... to Arizona. Went up & down the Grand Canyon for some miles... on to and through El Paso, San Antonio, and Houston, Texas, all the way to Lafayette, Louisiana, at which point I turned around... as it was quite rainy, with a broken headlight.... I was stupidly following an 18 wheeler too closely behind, to get some break from the wind and rain, something our motorcycle instructor told us, while going through the riding course, NOT TO DO... because those 18 wheelers could KICK large pebbles at your direction at very high speed! The trip back to California... I rode up and down the coast, on Highway 101, including riding on the Golden Gate Bridge... with pictures from my camera hanging from my chest... all the way down to San Diego. I did it on a Honda Shadow Magna, 750cc. For over a month, I was all over the Southwest, up & down California. It really was the highlight of my post-college days, youthful wandering.
@@VajNcuab77Phl Yes, that happens, with vehicles: you ride them most of the time; but you may also being RIDDEN by them some of the time! That frustration is part of the fun of traveling... I traveled all over, for thousands of miles and never fell on my motorcycle, riding over many rough terrains, in SNOW and during heavy rain... No problem! But the night I stopped in good ole', nice San Francisco, for a night of sleep, my bike decided to take a dive, when I was trying to back it up on a nice, flat parking lot. It ended up on the concrete, with a broken tail light!
