I think we have to take a step back and understand the power dynamic that are at play in a situation like this. Just because someone has benefited from the situation does not mean that their story is not true. And we also need to stop saying what people ought to see or not, I can't speak to Hugh, but predators don't present themselves as predators, they are often the exact opposite until they reveal their true nature. And for the record, Holly left Hugh.

I think she needs to be more honest. Like others, I watched the show and she was portrayed as the committed one that loved him the most. And really wanted to get married. Reality TV is extremely fake so can she admit that she was faking it for TV and wasn't as into him as she made it out to be? Or as time went on and you're in " healthier" relationships contrast to the former, she now can process things as they really were.

She wrote a book when he was still alive about her experience. Hugh responded to her book, and he had the platform to say as much as he wanted in response. She was young… there was a power dynamic. I absolutely think Hugh Hefner used these woman, and yes… some used him back to be in the magazine. But why defend Hef??? He created a world in which anything went. This feedback session is awful to listen to… have some empathy. It’s 2021… and this is really tone deaf.

They were paid $2k per month cash, then they had a separate clothes and shoes allowance, then he paid for hair, fake bake, nails etc, then they got jobs through him for tv, modeling etc.
