  • These 3 quick pickles will become one of the most delicious condiments on your table! They are easy to make, and because of the ingredients used, they are actually very healthy. In this quick pickle recipe, Srikant is using raw vinegars (apple cider vinegar, wine vinegar), that contain beneficial bacteria for a healthy gut, and he doesn't heat the vinegar, to make sure that its health benefits stay intact. In this video recipe you will learn how to make onion pickles, cucumber pickles and beetroot pickles. All of them will be infused with spices, which add delicious flavours, as well as extra health benefits, because all spices are medicinal in nature. You can enjoy the pickles pretty much right away, or keep them in the fridge for a few weeks, and use them as a quick flavours booster! These pickles are a great way to eat more vegetables.

    Does The wine vinegar have alcohol?

    • @HappyBellyfish
      @HappyBellyfish  Год назад +3

      Good point and thank you for bringing it up. I had to look it up and yes it does have alcohol but in trace amounts. So unless someone has a strong religious conviction, it should be okay to use this vinegar.

      I make mine with chopped mushroom, diced onion fried in oil [ or you can sauté both together in a sprinkle of water (you judge as mushroom can be quite liquid,) add dash or Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper plus a dollop of cream/yoghurt/ any vegan sub to make the sauce..... hmmm think I’ll might make it later. Hope this helps..

      It can last for a very long time but I prefer 10 days at max. The veggies lose their crunch and flavor

      Although they will last for a very very long time in the refrigerator they will start to develop a very strong vinegar taste and may also discolor. I make it in just enough quantity to last for about 10 days

    Where is the salt?

    The word ‘clove’ for me is - if there is an ‘e’ on the end of an English word you pronounce the vowel in that word by its name. So you pronounce the letter ‘o’ in clove as ‘oh’ not ‘o’ as in the word ‘hot’
    Cheers
