I don't track my mutual fund dividend payouts because I just have it put into the cash portion of my portfolio and will use it to reinvest if there is a dip in the pricing/markets. So far my dividend portfolio (Canadian, US and international) has yielded overall 60% capital gains (some real and some paper). I do not give any advice because people should take the time to research and learn about investing and not rely on other people. I started small as well and gave it time. Well done!
Thanks for sharing and it's good to hear from you. Your dividends are doing great and I love to see them. Take care of yourself and enjoy the summer with your boys. I'll still be here whenever/whatever you post. 👍❤️
Great month! Love these videos. I also had L&Gen - was a good month for me. My ISA holds a lot of UKDV from ishares which pays a ton in the June and September dividends
Thought you had been quiet, just take care or the boys and yourself until you have rhe strength to do more. I have Tesco and legal ans general in my HL share isa was only £8.52 payout but its fun anyway.
Great to see you back Nicola, I actually used to have 3 of your 5 holdings a few years back (BAE, Legal & General and Tesco) but I sold as they became quite expensive for me considering the income I got out of them, plus I moved to having mainly investment trusts rather than individual shares. For June I got just over £85 which isn't too bad considering June is one of my lower months generally, but it's a fair bit below my £125 monthly target. In terms of the year to date, I'm trying for £1500 over the course of the year and as of the end of June I've had an income of just over £780 so I'm slightly ahead of where I should be after half the year. July isn't looking great at the moment but August seems to be a bumper month so maybe I can pull it back there. Keep your chin up my dear :)
Lovley to see you back, ok so i feel like im being not stupid but i guess uneducated in dividends do u have a vid where u explain it more, as i dont really get it.
First time watcher. Love your ideals of using the div payments to pay utility bills.

This has been a 7 year journey - you can start with as much or as little as you’d like. Everyone has to start somewhere ☺️
@@NicolaatTheFrugalCottage ok so what would you recommend to start with is there a minimum
It depends on your budget ☺️
@@amymcguirk6488I started with £100 a month - not much but it’s still progress towards retirement!

£8.52 is better than nothing ☺️
@@NicolaatTheFrugalCottage absolutely I reinvest my dividends at this point but hopefully one day I will have a little payout each month.
