This show has me confused on either Riley Greene being the villan or Claw being the villan. (Yes I know Riley is the main one bit Claw kind of seems like she could be as well)
Nuwa is a typical deity, blaming everyone for the shit she and her family did in the first place. That story of hers of how and why the Mogwai came to be was quarantued to fail and she made absolutely sure it would.
I actually didn't know Claw was a girl when I first saw this series, although you can never tell the other gremlin's genders. (except Greta from the sequel)
I've heard that if the show does well, it will help the chances of a 3rd gremlins getting made, if you're wanting something more movie-like! The art and animation style grew on me over time, though part of me does wish it had been a little more realistic too.
@@WandererofArts456 That's true, I would have loved to see this in the style of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, but I think when it comes to a TV show even if it's on a streaming platform, there's limitations to how detailed you can get. I don't know all the details but I think there's way more animators working on something like a DreamWorks film compared to something like this. Even though this style grew on me part of me does wish they had done something differently or put more detail into it too, might have been received better.
Is it bad that I want to adopt one of these mogwais from this Mogwai Village as a pet even if I would definitely inadvertently break two of the three rules
I wish the animation had been done in the traditional 2-d Warner Brother's style. Not that the animation style here is necessarily bad per se, but I think it just would have been a nice homage to the studio that created the gremlins franchise.
I think so! If you're a gremlins fan and looking for more content then yes. Though even I'll admit while the show does get dark, it's still mainly aimed at kids and families, so if that's not your thing then feel free to skip.
