I just wanted to tell you thank you for convincing me to get jack o’lantern, the one i smelled in store was a bit off so I wasn’t planning on getting it until I saw this video. Now I’m so happy I ended up ordering one! It’s one of my favorites now🎃
I’m only mid way through the video and as soon as you brought out black magic I decided to just buy one on eBay . I have been wanting to check this one out , never smelled it but kept hearing on old RUclips videos how this one is so Halloween . I was not expecting you to review this one and pulled the trigger 🕷🦇 Also , loooove jack o’ lantern . It has a smooth scent with just a touch of smoke -that could maybe be the the spice , not sure but it’s glorious . I just really wish I could get the apothecary jars , even with the tunneling I prefer those more than signature jars
Great haul, Jared. YC Apple Pumpkin 🍎🎃 is a classic Autumn scent. Nice ginger note-not overpowering. When burning, Ciderhouse is a touch too sweet to my nose. Looking forward to enjoying Fall fragrances.🍁
Great video Jared. Yankee is not in my wheelhouse. I bought them for years, until I realized they just don't smell. Plus, they burn terribly. Super tunneling, super soot. Blech! Enjoy your Saturday! What is "scum fuck flower boy?" lol.
I totally get that, i usually only buy for the halloween and really only for jack o lantern, the signatures usually have decent performance for me but i burn in a small room so thats probably why, and LOL thats the name of one of my favorite albums from Tyler, the Creator!
Ciderhouse, one of my top 5 Yankee scents, came out July 2019 as part of the “Farmers Market Collection”: Ciderhouse, Dried Lavender & Oak, (both of which got rebadged the following fall and incorporated into the regular line) Farmstand Festival, Golden Chestnut, Persimmon & Brown Sugar, and Sweet Maple Chai. Ciderhouse is cherry, apple and wood to me and performs well in all formats. I hope you like it. Haunted Hayride is a scent I love to hate as well and really never burn it 😂 Mystic Moon waxes and wanes, pun intended, but is very sultry.
Awesome haul! I like your interpretation of the Jack O Lantern scent. Have you tried Yankee's Scenterpiece warmer yet? It does give most of their scents a little boost in throw. They are kind of hit or miss on which scents they release in the melt cups, but I enjoy them. 🎃
(Long Comment) Interesting that you didn’t really dig Haunted Hayride and Witches Brew. Out of all the candles that they had last year, those were the only Halloween candles that I got because, to me, they just scream Halloween. Haunted hayride smells exactly like the title. Like you’re out their on a chilly October night going through the hay on a wagon. Witches Brew also smells like the label. Like a witches house in the middle of the woods that’s old and ranky but in a good way. Think the witch house from the film The Witch. That scene where the little boy gets drawn in by the witch after getting lost in the woods. That’s exactly how the candle smells to me. Also I want to give you a heads up about the witches brew. I was going to rebuy it this year but didn’t because the reviews on the website said that it has literally no throw on it. Idk if yours is an older version or the newer one but just a heads up. If its the new one and doesn’t throw then you may want to return it. Speaking of throws. Why does everyone in the candle community on here have such issues with Yankee Candle? They all say that they have no throw but I’ve been using Yankee for a few years now and they all smell amazing. I will say that, to me, the tumbler ones don’t smell as good as the large jar ones. It’s just so weird to me that so many people say they can’t smell Yankee candles. All the ones I’ve had have had throws of at least a 6 or 7. The only candle that had a throw of a 10 was the Midsummer Night one. I think that was the name. It smelled straight up like Mens cologne but in a really nice way. I would burn that one for like 2 hours before bed and then turn it off and when I would wake up in the morning my room would still smell strong with it. I loved that one. Check it out if you’ve never tried it. Like if I had a girl I was interested in and wanted to really seduce her with a good smell, that would be the one that I would use for my bedroom. As for this years Yankee Halloween candle, I didn’t buy anything because they literally brought the same scents back from last year. They didn’t add anything new to them and I didn’t care for the other scents they already had. I’m trying Kringle Candle for Halloween this year. I’ve ordered about 5 of them. I got Cemetery Lane last week and have only burned it once. I definitely have thoughts lol. I live in the Bay Area in California and it’s still hot as hell out here. I’m waiting for the cooler weather to burn that one again as well as 7 Days, Witches Cauldron, Trick or Treat and Witching Hour which were the other ones I ordered and am waiting on. I totally get why witches brew and haunted hayride would be your faves, they're both uniquely halloween, i enjoy them for the most part but i dont absolutely need them to fulfill my halloween dreams each season! I've only ever really had burn issues from Yankee from their large jars so im glad you have good luck with them, the 2 wick signatures have given me problems in the past as well, notably my witches brew and mystic moon from last year which were both basically scentless, but more often than not they perform well for me. I hope you enjoy the rest of your kringle order as well, they're gonna be great when the weather finally decides to cool down! 🎃

Secondly, their prices increased and they don’t have good sales either. Also for Halloween, they stopped releasing a true Halloween scent and or bringing back classics (black magic). On the other hand, Bath and Body Works actually made a Halloween candle masterpiece in Moonlit Graveyard 🪦 Not only does the scent have room filling power but it actually brings us to a place I never thought possible for Bath and Body. It’s deep, spooky, and invokes an eerie earthy masterful shovel full of candle greatness. Also, B&BW have great sells all the time that you can use coupons with those sales for great savings. Kringle has also given me even more reason to not look at Yankee for the time being, at least until they come back to their senses. Im really hoping the Kringle candles perform at least as good as a Bath and Body Works candle does. Im optimistic 😅

I absolutely love Mystic Moon! I also adore Jack-o-lantern, it's my favorite pumpkin candle, the carrot note gives it an authentic pumpkin feel
