Change Facebook Phone Number Without Logging In (Easy!)

- In this video, learn how to change your Facebook phone number without having to login to the app.
If you forgot your Facebook phone number that you used when you signed up or don't have access to the number anymore you can easily walk through these steps to change the mobile number without having to login using the existing number.
Keep in mind that you will need access to either your existing email address or number in order to login to your account in the first place. After all, Facebook needs some way to assure that you are actually the owner of the account you're trying to change the number on. Once you do login, you can easily change the number. However, if you never login you can request that you don't have access to the email or number anymore and want to get into the account some other way. Follow the prompts and it will walk you through the steps to login and thus change your mobile number.

Hey, Thanks for you video, I do all the steps but Facebook only suggests me to send access code through my email, I only have access to the phone number. ( one more thing I dont have the same pc/phone that I used to log in before )

Facebook is so stupid. You can’t even contact support, yet they allow you to send Identification and personal information and is kept in their system for up to a year. Dumb

No, it didn't. I keep getting hung up on the two factor authentication. THAT sends the code to my old number, even though I updated my phone number months ago.

This did not work for me either. Still will not send a txt to my phone. After i confirm with code sent to my email it still asks for the code from txt which never comes to my phone. FB just tells me i am not locked out on there end and does not help at all. After 2 weeks of begging them to help, i get nothing.

@@markstevens1971 Not with the phone number, but I was able to upload my ID to prove my identity and log in that way. Then I was able to able to change my phone number.

@@markstevens1971 There wasn't a URL that got me to that point, but after doing a lot of searches I happen to come across it. I'm sorry I'm not much help. It's aggravating they don't have any kind of customer service to help in this kind of situation.

Ya fb still has my old number and now locked out. And keeps sending them login codes n all to that old number. I did not get a chance to update new number yet on profile. So I'm locked out. Send copy of ID and all many times n keep sending login code via sms to wrong number. So can I update it without getting into fb to update it so I get the code to log in to nee number. Like many i did the 2 step verification thing and it is keeping me from logging in - the mobile number i used is dead forever , it doesn`t work anymore the card died - so now no more facebook for me - i tried everything it`s like a loop i always end up with the 2 step verification asking me for the 6 digit number which they are sending on my dead card and not on my email address.It`s a never ending loop for me.The sad thing is you cannot contact them - they thing they`re gods and unreachable. No wonder that facebook is dying.

I do get a code sent to my email, when I add the code sent, I never received the code sent to my phone number, I did it using the password but couldn't remember the password, but I was able to reset the password to log in, but every time i try to log in i still am not receiving the code sent to my phone number, and when i look the last 2 digits looks correct, I'm frustrated
Yeah it then goes on to a second security prompt where the only option is to send the code to the old phone number. I can change my password via the email code but still can't get past the phone one.

go on a computer and go to settings u should see a tab with mobile and the account u don’t want remove the number and it shoukd work

Meta or facebook, whatever is official.. doesn't even have chat support for this, they have no representatives.. they should at least let you confirm your old number or allow you to say some specific information that was on the account perhaps private questions or what not.. this SMS message code always pops up no matter what you try to do and they even try to get you to submit government documents like driver's license or marriage certificate and even other forms just to get back into a social media account.. this is getting silly and they need to fix that!

I got a new phone with the exact same number and I got a message from FB saying my number has been deactivated. So when I am trying to get backed into FB on my new phone I can get passed the first security code then it says a code has been sent to you via SMS which I never get because my number is no longer active for FB.
