Totally agree regarding Santa FE # 3751! Totally OVER SHADOWED BY UP Big boy in public eye!!! While I reside in the most eastern part of North America San FE steamers,& early diesels models have always toped my list of US roads to run on my layout. Canadian Pacific, & Canadian National favorites.
My first Engine and set was the Lionel Legacy L2A Mohawk Water Level set, loop of fastback and a CW-180 around my Christmas tree in my apartment. The addiction started from there, next purchase was Legacy control and then away I went lol. Great collection and great to see your channel growing.
Great video! My first train was the Lionel lioncheif polar express set. But technically, it was my grandpas postwar 2-6-2 steam trap because I run trains with him, and have run trains with him ever since I was a kid
@@romanswestcoasttrains great video! Interesting to hear that you are a West Coast Railroad fan. I’m from the Midwest and I’m more of a fan of the New York central, although I generally like streamlined locomotives from any railroad for the most part and it just so happens that the New York Central is the best one in my opinion in terms of art deco streamlining although the Pennsylvania and the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy are also pretty good. Probably my favorite western railroads of all time are the Burlington northern and the Santa Fe although union pacific is pretty close to. I must say, though that I like Amtrak Conrail, the chessie system and a lot of newer railroads quite a lot as well. That being said, I have always wondered what it would be like to run, southern pacific 4449 or Redding 2101 in their American freedom train versions with Amtrak passenger cars to simulate a steam era version of Amtrak. Might do a similar thing with the 1947 American freedom train diesel locomotive as well.
Come visit us at RailGiants! We're there tomorrow (April 8) and during the fair next month. Anyways, with that plug out of the way, I really enjoyed the video getting an inside look at your collection and the story behind the locomotives.

I thought for a minute I was watching an older Erics trains blog series eps., That intro is identical to his old one.
Great collection , but its O gauge not 0 scale
First locomotive was a Marx New Haven diesel set made for sears. Way before your time.
Those heritage units are super nice. Hard to say favorite. WP, Mopac, idk.
