Omg! I absolutely devoured Flowers for Algernon, it's such an overwhelming gorgeous book. Never heard many of the booktubers talking about this book, actually till now jst 2/3 🤌👍👌❤️
Okay here r my thoughts on the books you talked about that I’ve read (about two…) Emma - I’ve gotta respectfully disagree with you here nicole I thought it was so fun and lovely and I gave myself like a month to read it and only read a few chapters a day which probably helped me with how long it was? I totally agree that I enjoyed Emma’s character but I also really enjoyed how the romance wasn’t really the central plot line and instead there was more focus on her relationship with Harriett, but I just loved how little happened and how small their problems were like it made it such a comforting read Master and Margarita - YOURE WRONG FOR THIS ONE (sorry) I just thought it was so long and dull and confusing and the first half could have just been like three of the stories it included and it would have had the same impact but it just kept dragging on for me. Might go back and read the second half which seemed more interesting after I finish learning about Stalin in history to add a bit more context which might be fun Thursday Murder Club - okay this was SO FUN!!! Like I loved the characters it was like an in depth episode of death in paradise which I loved and it was just so lovely well done Richard Osman love that bloke ❤️ (Realised writing this that two out of these three books r ones I read for book club… I need to read more)
LMAO you can borrow one of my copies of hamnet for the next meeting.. i didn't really like anyone in emma except her and harriet and mr knightly was okay but a solid 5/10 like there was no pining and you know me i have high standards from romances so i wished there was more drama before he confessed i wanted to be gripping the edge of my seat ngl master and margarita felt like a fever dream so you might be right but i remember finishing it and thinking damn what a fun goofy book i love that YESSS you're so right it IS a death in paradise episode omg also the person whose fav book it is is chris LOL kinda makes sense tbh als thank you for watching the whole thing i hope it didn't make you fall asleep ily ember you're a real one my fav pookie
LOLL are you into reading too? i definitely mood read so i don't stick to a strict schedule of what to read eg right now i'm enjoying more autumnal books, and i usually only read a book if it has mostly positive reviews so i don't waste my time on a poorly written one. and i do most schoolwork during the weekdays to free up my weekends so i can read a book in like a day. but also i don't do loads of extracurricular stuff so other than academics and socialising it's reading :)

@@honeylemonntea Jane Austen failed because she couldn’t create a romance as thrilling as the love hypothesis
no one can top ali hazelwood and her cringey formulaic romances ❤️
