Great video, the one thing in life is that we run into problem and what the main thing is we stick together as team and we resolve the problem and what happen to you is something you can look back on and have big laugh. Looking forward to your future videos.
Hi, its me again, things happen, and yes when i was in Greece aswell. Like the person before its a learning curve. Christmas markets in Germany, Nurnberg is beautiful. Best regards a welshman in Germany ( near Bremen)
I don't know how I came across your channel but I'm glad I did. You two seem refreshingly 'normal' . Something to think about, when a 3.5T vehicle needs to be pulled by a 3T winch, for example. If the rope goes to a pulley on the vehicle being pulled and back to the winch vehicle you will increase the pulling power - winch/hoist reeving. Obviously if you don't have a pulley, or long enough rope, you're still scuppered !
Thankyou ! Yes we’ve upped the tow rope to ten tonne now, ready for the next adventure, luckily our rescuers have been very well equipped , but our storage box of help me items is growing too 😂 good advice on the pulleys 👍
How honest and lovely! This made me feel so much better… we got stuck a while back. The exit sign at the CCL blew over in the wind(laminated sheet) and looked as if the exit was in the opposite direction pin a gravelled track. A little way up it suddenly became steep and I lost traction. Put it in reverse and slid slightly into a hedge dangerously close to the Elam point. AA came- he got stuck! 2nd AA man came. With winches they pulled me up and then reversed back, then first AA man was able to reverse back and out of trouble. It was awful…. I have never felt so bad. I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I straightened the sign after and weighted it down with small stones.
Oh wow, that was an experience, glad you were able to get out and hopefully all ok ? It can be unnerving, we do share our mishaps , no matter what ! Safe travels and thanks for sharing ❤️
Mistakes are only learning curves. We have been told if you are in mud to put a mat or something over the wheel it would spin under the wheel and you can move forward 😊, but maybe not 😅. Fab memories 😂, thanks for sharing again you guys are great
Oh heck, getting stuck is not fun and you did so well in that situation. Great video and really useful, thanks very much. Looking forward to more, Zoe.
Fantastic look back at your 3 mistakes, although they could happen to anyone but I think you highlighting them might help or prevent it happening to someone else 💕 Absolutely love your new direction and wonderful honest approach, you guys really deserve every bit if your success, congratulations, you're still our faves and we look forward to the German markets, lots of love Julia and Gary 💕
Awwwwh , thanks ❤️❤️, lovely comments, really appreciated, we love watching you guys too, always entertaining, we hope you get your Moho sorted soon and keep on bringing the fun xx , safe travels 🙂🙂
We did get well and truly stuck once in sand dunes , Mark wanted to park the van near a picnic table in a dip in the dunes 🤣🤣 my sister had to get a farmer friend of hers to bring his Range Rover to pull us out!! It did damage the exhaust 🙈🫣😶🌫️😂😂😂 we didn’t film that thank god!! 😆 xxx
@redsgotravels we take my hats off to you for sharing your honest view on the freebies that get offered, not like some others who continually promote absolute rubbish just so they get more and more promotions... love the budgeting. it's certainly helping us with being so new a motorhome
I know the feeling of making dodgy manoeuvres that you wonder how you did. In Shropshire this year I managed to demolish a brick bar b que at the campsite whilst driving the caravan away, very embarrassing! I still can't work out why I took that particular course!
Brilliant blog… made me chuckle 😂.. for one that doesn’t have a motorhome, are most motorhome front wheel drive? Or does a rear wheel drive perform better in those situations which you were in? I have seen some 4x4 motorhomes which look impressive but I’m sure they’re expensive.. in terms of trying to get out of a situation, would snow chains etc help? All the best.
Any suggestions welcome, I hope we’ve put the mistakes behind us, but I suspect something will happen again, we’ve got Xmas markets planned, so snow chains or reindeers to pull us along ! But yes, front wheel drive is the norm, with weight over the tyres it should be better than rear wheel drive, but no joy , new all weather tyres fitted should help , a 4 x 4 is the business, but do cost a bit more and lower mpg , Paul thought he was in one ! 🤣
Hiya, I do remember us getting stuck in Spain. Bloody satnav!! Ended up having to get a recovery company to haul us up a deeply rutted and steep track.
Hello lovelies this did us chuckle - hopefully the Christmas Market trip doesn’t end up in you getting stuck in the SNOW !!! ⛄️ 🤣 great video guys love your honesty ❤🥰 xxx
Hi guys, great video. Motorhoming is hard work at times and it’s certainly not easy. We have had to be recused before. Keep your heads high ! Your doing great
Love your story guys and your dogs - we have a toy poodle and a westipoo! I found your channel via Gaters on Tour and have subscribed to you. We love travel and are interested in finding out more about different ways to do it. Happy travelling and we look forward to watching more of your vlogs.
We also got stuck in our m/h. It was at The Ship Inn, Sewerby nr Bridlington. We pulled onto the grass area to pitch up but couldn’t reverse because of wet grass. No problem we thought because it’s downhill, drive forward back onto stone track then away. Trouble was after driving down the slope for about 40ft it just sunk up up to axles. So we waited until the morning and started to dig it out but we just snuck further. Panick then set in of how to get this thing out. Luckily after about an hour some lads were walking by and they offered to push and eventually we got out. Without those lads it would have been a £500 recovery truck I think. Lesson learned. I should never have gone onto the grass, so if it doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts.
Thanks for watching and sharing your experience, it’s so easy to get stuck isn’t it ? It’s those mistakes that we learn from and hopefully avoid in the future ( Paul has certainly had his fair share 😬😂 ) , and once again, the goodwill of people shines through and helps out .. , appreciate the comments, and safe travels ❤️
Hi both, I'd like to say thank you, after watching your uploads and toying with the idea for last two years we've decided to hire a m/h this week. We don't live the far from you both, we're having a m/h from fords in Gorseinon for a week starting tomorrow, heading to Cotswolds then Glastonbury later in the week, if all goes well I'll be buying one this off season and travelling Europe with our two little Lhasa Apsos next year and it's all thanks to you both and your great honest video's, no videos from us though as I'm a fanatical cyclist and doing all the European events will keep me busy enough Lol. Anyways great work both and look forward to all the future adventures you have planned, da iawn 😁
Oh wow ❤️ reading your comment is so humbling, and so glad to have inspired you ! Wonderful news, and I’m sure you’ll love it ! The dogs will love it too , and both of your destinations are lovely, let us know how you get on and safe travels !! 😊❤️
Hi corrin and Paul 👋 just us 2saying hi and thanks again for sharing this video. Yes we have got stuck.👍 but who has not.🤔🤔 corrin didn't you tell Paul to park there for a better view. 🤔🤔🤔 only kidding 🤔 oh we are doing Christmas market too there great .👍den and sue 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
Hi Den and Sue ! Yes, people get stuck all the time, but us more than most, but hopefully we can reduce that by not seeking the best view ! 🤣 and Christmas markets are fab, no sand or mud, maybe snow ,⛄️❤️
We went for the Michelin agilis cross climate all seasons, a huge difference in ride 👍 , thanks for watching and leaving us a comment, much appreciated ❤️
Thanks for prompt response. The Michelins are the same as the ones fitted on mine from new, good to hear you think they’re an improvement on your old ones, I’ve not had opportunity to compare. For what it’s worth, I think you made a good call on reviewing/ endorsing freebies, personally I find it a real turn off when bloggers do that & it does drive me to switch off. Your videos are great for your specific & relatable warts & all approach- thanks for what you do. P
@petermccall6880 thankyou once again for your lovely comments, much appreciated, yes we do have a few more items to review, but don’t want to overload the channel with it, we will get round to it when we use them , and keep our trips separate 😊 thanks again ❤️
Have I been stuck .... yes! I have the advantage of having done 4wd competition events in the past. The thing to remember is to not spin the wheels, if you're stuck to the point of not moving, spinning the wheels will only make things worse. The first trick to try if you get stuck is to let air out of the drive wheels, this increases the contact patch of the tyre and increases your traction. VERY IMPORTANT - DO NOT spin the wheels if the tyre pressure is down though, you could easily unseat the tyre bead and then your are in a whole new badder world of stuck. I hope you never need this trick!
Some very good advice there Thankyou ! I do hope we never get stuck again, but now we have a point of reference for the undoubted next time 😂😂 thanks for taking the time to share your experience, very much appreciated ❤️
Im sure we will all make mistakes at some point. Think ours has to be going down narrow roads instead of sticking to main roads! Blame Google. But have to say Your mistakes have been funny ones! Probably not at the time! Lol ❤
It's such fun getting stuck, hey?😂 A tip from us if you ever get stuck again is to fold up in half long ways a bath towel for each front wheel (we have used our doggy towels for it (after asking permission from the pooch😂🐕🦺)not ours). Works wonders and has got us out of a few jams in the past👍
Great video, the one thing in life is that we run into problem and what the main thing is we stick together as team and we resolve the problem and what happen to you is something you can look back on and have big laugh.
Looking forward to your future videos.
What a lovely comment, Thankyou so much for watching and taking time to do so , really appreciated ❤️
Hi, its me again, things happen, and yes when i was in Greece aswell. Like the person before its a learning curve. Christmas markets in Germany, Nurnberg is beautiful. Best regards a welshman in Germany ( near Bremen)
We shall look up Nurnberg , thanks for the recommendation, and Thankyou for your comments and sharing , much appreciated ❤️🏴

Thanks for the info. I did watch the origanals just reinforced don't go on soft ground. That's when my MH comes.
We shall stick to solid ground in the future ( mostly 😂 )

And we were only an R25 Romahome! 5.4m..
@sarahbertram2219 I’m sure you saved quite a few more mishaps by putting the sign back up ! ❤️
Mistakes are only learning curves. We have been told if you are in mud to put a mat or something over the wheel it would spin under the wheel and you can move forward 😊, but maybe not 😅. Fab memories 😂, thanks for sharing again you guys are great
We did try all sorts, and it was just awful , must try the mat next time ( 😬 ) … or just carry 4 drunk guys to do the job when needed 🤣
@@redsgotravels I like the idea of 4 strong drunk guys, trouble is I would have to join them, got to be hospitable and have a drink or two with them.
😂
Forget the motorhome 😃😃, lets see the guitars & amps 🎸🎸🎸🎸 !!!!
Haha, now that would be another vlog on its own , but not yet ! ❤️🎸🎸🎸
Oh heck, getting stuck is not fun and you did so well in that situation. Great video and really useful, thanks very much. Looking forward to more, Zoe.
Thankyou Zoe ! Glad it helped ❤️

Ooops, these things happen, and as a wiseman once said, it’s only a problem if it can’t be solved, or unsolved 🫢 or something like that 😂😂 .. x
If you don't make a mistake, you don't make a discovery. Well that was always my excuse anyway. Stay safe.
Wise words , and something for me to quote on the next discovery ! 😅❤️
Absolutely brilliant guys, looking back on those good ole days 😂 👏
Thanks Kev! We had a lot of fun and laughs making it and watching those bits of film we hadn’t seen since they were edited
@redsgotravels we take my hats off to you for sharing your honest view on the freebies that get offered, not like some others who continually promote absolute rubbish just so they get more and more promotions... love the budgeting. it's certainly helping us with being so new a motorhome
Totally agree ! And thanks for your comments, very much appreciated ❤️
I know the feeling of making dodgy manoeuvres that you wonder how you did. In Shropshire this year I managed to demolish a brick bar b que at the campsite whilst driving the caravan away, very embarrassing! I still can't work out why I took that particular course!
Ah yes, the mysterious why did I do that 🤣 it’s a common thing … will it happen again.. probably 😬
Brilliant blog… made me chuckle 😂.. for one that doesn’t have a motorhome, are most motorhome front wheel drive? Or does a rear wheel drive perform better in those situations which you were in? There are many stories to be told of people getting stuck ! We’ve just got a few more than most 🤣

Haha , I think you are probably right … let’s see what Paul can do 🤣
You two are great to watch honest and entertaining
Awwh Thankyou x
Great as usual you two, keep up the excellent work. Although I must say I am disappointed you won't be reviewing any £3000 ebikes! 😂😂
Something else to get stuck ? 😂 thanks for watching and leaving a comment, much appreciated ❤️

You should grab a set of snow chains. They're good in mud too
👍👍❤️ good advice, it’s on the to get list !
My van should be set at high 70psi but I run mine at 55 - 60 psi with no temperature difference but the ride is better.
Ours are recommended at this pressure which does make a nice difference to previous 🙂 along with new springs ❤️
