Original plan of the series never had second son on the radar because it was going to be as follows:
inFAMOUS (hero ending) then the inFAMOUS 2 (infamous ending) and followed by whatever Cole MacGrath storyline they had. SS was the affect of players picking the Hero path more in inFAMOUS 2. SuckerPunch stated "As our games continue to grow in scale and complexity, they require the full attention of our studio. With our focus on our current project *Ghost*, we have no plans to revisit inFAMOUS or Sly Cooper right now, and no other studio is currently working on projects related to those franchises either."

I just realized that Delsin and Zeke said the same line at the end of each game.
That's Sucker Punch seeing if their audience is paying close attention. If you don't believe that, just believe it's a very sudden convenience to connect the games a little more.

How is being a hero cannon? In infamous 2 all conduits die and humans survive, lol if thet all died how are they in this game, the bad ending in infamous 2 is cannon, the D.U.P actully stopped cole.

@@crybaby18981 Why would it be evil? If sucker punch goes by what is the more popular votes then the hero ending will be cannon. If you don't like delsin then fine whatever but trying to make him be canonically evil make absolutely no sense. Especially since even when he's evil he still wants to save his tribe showing there's some type of good in him.

The thing that makes me super sad is how coles and Zeke relation ship ended. They were friends for so long they worked together, they lived together, they did everything together then Cole just died to save the normal people including Zeke

However, most people played through good ending only, according to trophy data, which is why they decided to continue the series from it.
I prefer to start off evil and then, when Trish dies, I play good for the remainder of Infamous 1 and go completely good in Infamous 2. I do this because when Cole destroys the Ray Sphere and then talks to Kessler, he talks as if he is repenting for his mentality earlier; *"Yeah, well I'm not like you. It took me awhile but I finally realized that this isn't about me, about what I want. Not anymore. It's about keeping this city safe. And once you're dead, no one will ever threaten it again."* Also, in Infamous 2, people always refer to him as the "Demon of Empire City", regardless of your karma in the game. So in this version, it makes more sense that they called him that because he committed evil deeds for the majority of his time in Empire City. Plus, the city had been destroyed the month after he turned good, so he was an unsung hero in that regard since he never had enough time to create a new image for himself in the eyes of Empire City. All of this adds more meaning to the good ending: *"I thought my friend was going to go down as an unsung hero, but here in New Marais, they knew what he had done for him. Who'd a guessed that the "Demon of Empire City" would become the patron saint of New Marais."*

Well, we won't get one or a sequel to second son, since the devs are putting all their efforts into Ghost of Tsushima and other possible IPs. I'm shocked that they do what Naughty Dog & Capcom are doing by doing remasters (like Last of Us, Final Fantasy & Uncharted Series) or remakes (Resident Evil Series; yes Capcom stated they're making more remakes to classic Resident Evil games). It would make them quick cash and allow a majority of players (ONLY played Second Son) who never got to experience the other games to play it without a need to stream it. For Example, the First game punishes you for not using a PS3 type controller for the most powerful ability.
4:58 In infamous 2 when the lighting strikes it seems as if it hit the boat (more specifically the coffin). Am I the only one who noticed it like maybe Cole really ain’t dead.
As much as you (and some of the community) will like it for him to be alive, he's confirmed dead by the developers and second son DLC.

@@nicoleotto6940 the bill board killed me. at the start of the game, delsin vandalizes it, but at the end, he washed away his sins towards reggie and made it a memorial instead. reggie is one of the best ever side characters in video games, because when hes with you, you dont pay attention to him, but once hes gone, you start crying.

Ravenslayer Cole's brother was only briefly mentioned (MacGrath even said he doesn't know what happened to him after the blast, so his brother can be dead). Currently how the series is going the hero path will be the canons and Delsin is more than likely keep saving people or they can have a prototype situation when in the next game he's (Delsin) the bad guy and a new conduit(s) put a stop to his bloodlust.

We could have one but most people didn't choose the "evil" ending and one of the developers wanted to do an Infamous 3 following the"Evil" ending when Cole became the Beast, however most people chose this instead.

Tynisha Moody If played or watched Secon Son's DLC Labeled "Cole's Legacy" then you'll know that Cole MacGrath is dead because Zeke told Delsin that "Cole would be proud" keywords 'would be' meaning that Zeke is telling his "brother" MacGrath is no longer with them. The RFI (Ray Field Inhibitor) killed 90% of conduits including John White (The Beast), Cole MacGrath, Lucy Kuo, Nix, etc. but sucker punch has really clearly explained why some conduits survived while most died.

I had a theory when Cole died in Infamous 2 that when Zeke said his final goodbye to Cole, lighting were striking and as soon it was about to end The last lightning hit Cole, and Cole came back to life and never had powers and became human once again.

O-Dub07 The fire fox don't forget festival of blood was released initially October 25, 2011, and released August 28, 2012, as part of the Infamous Collection while infamous 2 was released June 7th, 2011. That was only a few months but for it to be part of a bundle only 1-year difference. The series usually had released a game or DLC near months or within 2 years of the previous title (example second son was released 2014 while first light was released 2016) and right now we are in the dark what the next title is (or even if that Sucker Punch would give us a new title but they would be better off remastering the infamous bundle that includes the first two games with their DLC since it's a very slim chance they will do the continuation of the infamous ending to infamous 2)

The ending of infamous 2 was almost was cannon since hero ending 36.4% vs 22.1% on the evil ending. For the first game is 30.58% for evil and 42.55% hero ending and second son it was 38.7% good ending to 20.7% for the evil ending. This is why usually the evil ending isn't canon since depending on what the choices of the players makes a certain ending to influence the next game. For those hero ending only I salute you.

This game was literally my first game on the ps3. Damn those nostalgia feels.
Mask Nask Still hoping for a remaster for ps4, since I'm tired of switching from the ps4 to the ps3. I doubt sucker punch even feels like doing a remaster because if they wanted they had at least 4 years from the released second son. Who knows they may surprise us.

The only things they have in common they know parkour, they both are conduits and they are in their 20s in their respective games. The only reason Zeke and Delsin said the same thing is because Sucker Punch Studios was referencing the fact the two games are connected in canon. As for Delsin being Cole's son, that statement is invalid. The dead giveaways are their last names one is MacGrath and the other is Rowe and how Cole MacGrath is not even acomish. Second Son isn't some covert secretly worded title, it's actually referencing the fact that Delsin had an older brother in the story and Delsin was the second born. Hence the name Second Son.

The Red Death The only way statement would have made a little more if the game connecting is called First Light and First Son is more of a reference to the group who made Cole MacGrath who he is with a little help from Kessler but nice theory. Most of these developers want us to do a few theories so eventually, they say the reason for it. Anyone notices for each game (which is 4 games so far) a sibling dies. In the first Infamous game, Trish's (Cole MacGrath's girlfriend) sister Amy Dailey dies in the blast at the beginning. In Infamous 2 the obvious is MacGrath himself which leaves his younger brother who was only vaguely mentioned in the story. In Infamous First Light, Brent Walker dies. Last but not least Infamous Second Son, Delsin loses his older brother Reggie Rowe.

Funny story so in infamous just turned hero and then after I had the orbital drop right after I turned hero I accidentally pushed down on the d pad which activates the orbital drop then because there was so much people in my area I landed right on them and I couldn’t move while I was in the air so I tried to to move but that didn’t help and anyone who plays infamous second son would know it’s hard to move while the orbital drop is active and right when I landed I got demoted to paragon XD

When you are just doing a speed playthrough or just saving the blast shard collecting til after the final mission then you don't really collect as much blast shards. Especially since John & Kuo are very easy boss fights you don't really need a lot shards.

Mine Forcers I'm not. He would have been alive if the player base mainly chose to be infamous and sucker punch studios already confirmed dead. This why the new protagonist is Troy Baker and not a continuation of Cole MacGrath's own story. If you were one of the few lucky people that pre-ordered second son you got a DLC that confirms MacGrath's death. You check that ending dialogue on my channel.

I disagree...*slightly.*
I think Cole had the better character arc in that he started out being an ordinary nobody and becoming a hero,labeled the demon of empire city and the saint of new marais. That and the fact that Cole had the ability to go through a karmic shift in the end of the second game. He could have given into his fear and became the beast or realized that everyone who wasn't a conduit,including his best friend,would die if he didn't sacrifice himself and all other conduits. All Delsin did was either cause un-needed anarchy (validating a long gone fear) or manage to try and show people that conduits aren't all bad.

Mestruiastor Omegastar None of the infamous (evil) endings in the series is canon. You check which canon on a different video on my channel showing every ending in the series whether it is canon or not.

The reason is he is called the demon of empire city because Bertrand called him that in a few missions and during 1 when most of the city was present if you remember the limo chase mission and another is during their final encounter since he does not believe that conduits are part of the divine plan of God. Also, some people probably think he was the reason of empire city being destroyed. And final reason Sucker Punch confirmed that the hero aftermath was canon. Also look at your karma state without using an infamous hero edition (game bundle) or infamous 2 infamous edition (game bundle) to boost and you see by default MacGrath was already heroic when he was fighting the beast.
Photon Overlord that idea isn't that bad since it's common for infinite timelines. Then one timeline that has all the conduits are alive (with a defeated Beast) to live there own lives to make there own choices.

The Ray Field Inhibitor or RFI was something that was made by Sebastian Wolfe in inFAMOUS 2 to "take away a conduits powers (by removing the Ray Field energy from their body)" and cure the Ray Field plague but in reality it "kill all" conduits and 'cured' the plague. Think of it as an anti-ray sphere. The ray sphere is something that could active a conduit's powers.
@1234gs Try watching the all endings (on the channel) video you can briefly see it working in gameplay. Plus you'll see all without needing a separate video. Also RFI was shown when it wasn't fully charged to temporarily disable their (conduit's) powers (if they were Prime Conduits) but as shown prolonged exposure when it is fully charged will kill the conduit.

Remember, when you lock conduit's hands in concrete/other solid material - they can't use their powers, Delsin Couldn't, Hank couldn't nor could Augustine.

Approximately 90% of conduits all over the world died when The Beast was destroyed in New Marais. But in the following months it became evident that some conduits managed to survive-even some who were present at New Marais at the time of The Beast’s destruction. To this day, we do not know why some perished and others survived, but we suspect some kind of Ray Field Radiation event occurred. If you listened to dead drops from the Cole's Legacy DLC it explains why there are conduits in second son.
