In this game, I like to start with the bad start (Sacrifice the tribe) and then finish with the good end. It makes me feel like Delsin is trying to remedy the cowardly choice he made in the beginning.
What about turning yourself in at the beginning then finish with the bad ending? My headcanon would be that after Reggie's death, he would be consumed by vengeance and hatred, to the point that he would stop playing the hero and just kill anyone who got in his way. Whether it was civilians or conduits, he doesn't care anymore, he just wants to see Augustine's dead corpse on the ground after what she and Hank did.
Here’s a thought but what if from the beginning up until Reggie’s death, Delsin would be evil and then after His death Delsin would try to be like his brother and protect the innocent people and try to earn redemption
You know what doesn’t make sense: Augustine doesn’t believe Delson that he “caught” his powers, but pulls a complete 180 when you show off your neon powers shouting “I KNEW IT!” Damn hypocrite!
It genuinely felt good making the good choices in this game. Yeah, I know doing the evil choices can make things more interesting, but it also doesn't feel good from how disturbing those choices can be. Considering how much evil I see manifest itself in our daily lives, it put a smile on my face that I was able to make heroic decisions, even if it was just in a video game
I think Delsin is the most powerful conduit on Earth. Whilst in Infamous 2 where Cole got extra powers from Kuo (or Nix if you chose to be evil), he got it from a Blast Core device that swaps powers, whereas Delsin can take and swap powers naturally. That’s awesome.

The evil choices were too corrupted for my taste. I watched the evil choices cutscenes just to see the differences. Man, some pretty disturbing stuff if you choose evil
It felt evil but well written evil, all of the choices seemed to fit the character, I could see delsin doing all of those things for many different reasons, although I think good is the most fitting
I feel like there was a reason for that. Infamous 2 made the evil path much more preferable then the good path, so I think they wanted to return to the incentive for good like they had with Infamous 1.
@@HoveringGold Honestly I liked the endings for 2. They both had their own stakes; bad you get fewer but guaranteed survivors at the expense of being public enemy #1. Good you weren't sure if the RFI would do the job, but the sacrifice ensures lots more would survive in the end. Not sure if they're still talked about to this day, though.
I always thought it was weird that Delsin's video constructs mirrored Eugene's because Eugene creates his constructs from his own imagination so you'd think Delsin would do the same. Idk, maybe I've just read too many Green Lantern comics but I feel like just because they have the same power source doesn't mean their abilities would be mirrors of each other. You'd think Delsin would have a lot of really cool unique construct ideas being a stencil artist.
He probably will if we ever get a sequel. At most it seems like the core story of the game takes place over about a week once you hit Seattle. On one hand he double crossed Delsin and Reggie and the second he was also looking out for his family. Eventually i decided to spare because in game Reggie wouldn't have approved especially if i was killing a dude in front of his daughter. Though honestly i was taking my time so it looked super cinematic as the video panned to Delsins face while i was making the decision showing all those conflicting emotions i felt. 10/10 would play again
It might just be me but this is one of the Infamous games where I think going with the bad ending just does not fit the MC at all. Like it just completely flies in the face of both him and where he comes from not to mention it makes a mockery of Reggie's sacrifice.
I was doing the Trophy Hunt on Infamous Second Son, and I decided to play as the Hero, all the way through. I still don’t get the timeline of this game. In infamous 2, Cole sacrificed himself and thousands of conduits to defeat the beast and halt the plague, so how and why are there still conduits?
The Conduits are the same thing as the X-Men, Wanda once said "No more mutant" and still, some names persist during that purge. The same thing happened, the Conduit Gene was engraved in some humans, Delsin didn't knew he was a conduit until he came into contact with one of them. Everyone can be a conduit, but since most people rarely touched one, they would die thinking they were humans
Yeah, kinda iffy that Conduits ended up re-emerging after Cole sacrificed himself to wipe out the Plague & the Ray Sphere radiation that caused it. Then again Sucker Punch had originally intended for inFamous 2’s bad ending (where Cole ends up becoming The Beast himself) to be the canonical route for another sequel but were discouraged from it due to the majority of players sticking with just doing the Good path instead of also doing the Evil path.
I’ve always had this theory that he’s alive, because he’s a water conduit. I think that would be cool. He’d have to live with being the very thing he disliked so much. He’d have to confront the hypocrisy.

What I find most appalling about this game is the absolute lack of any kind of systemic checks on the Alphabet Souper-police's actions. Like even if they have immunity for what they did to Del why do they not have the government, or at least a hell of a lawsuit and the media, falling on their heads like a sack of lead bricks for what they did to Betty and the tribe? For an agency that exists to ensure the extraordinarily powerful people don't shirk accountability for their actions and disrupt or hurt the citizenry they do an awful lot of unaccoutable disrupting and hurting of the citizenry with their extraordinary powers. At least in I1 and I2 there's the excuse that everything's gone to shit and nobody really knows what's going on or has the ability to project control over the situation, but in 2S _this_ is supposed to be a measured and professional response from the federal government after having literal years to hash out procedures, rules, and contingencies, then then iron out the kinks discovered in practice. Like when they tossed out the Constitution for Conduits did they also toss out the part that makes them have to worry about re-election?
Mainly cause Augustine had staged the break out & due to the Akomish tribe being so small, it was likely just easy for her to hide her actions & use propaganda to swipe the tribe “under the rug” by framing the loose Conduits while using it to justify the DOP’s continued operation (since it was at risk of the Government shutting it down due to the lack of active “Bio-Terrorist”/Conduit activity).
