I literally stopped a programming tutorial because the tutor was using Postgres on Mac which apparently comes as an app and is easier to setup. I was lost and I didn't know how to set it up on Windows but this video helped me A LOT so thank you sir.

Thanks so much. Awesomely explained. I am a complete newbie that is fed up with MS Access. I am trying to learn SQL and find it really difficult to find tutorials that aren't too intimidating. You have helped me on the first step of the journey of getting PostgreSQL on my computer so I can actually start. So thanks heaps again.
For those who got, "Failed to load sql modules into cluster" error, I resolved the issue by creating a new folder called "postgresql" in C:\program files\ and then giving Full access permission(by right clicking the folder and click on properties and go to security tab and click on the "User" and giving full control access) to this folder and then run the .exe file(which u downloaded from PostgreSQL site).
After 5 years still I found this video help full & shortly. Thank a lot man

I found this video published in 2017. now the version of PostgresSQL is 11(beta) which is not supported in my PC. So I use the version 10. And chose locale "English, United State". That's work for me. Thanks this video.

pgAdmin4 opens in the browser (in my case Mozilla Firefox), is this normal?
I think it is. I tried it a couple of days ago and it opened in the browser

Hi , i am having problems installing the postgres SQL, I follow your steps then just before the completion it gives me an error: Failed to load sql modules into the database cluster. which is not happening in your case... i tried to search on internet . and came to know that it is something related to permissions .. i have been trying to install this for more then one hour now.. but not able to make it work. can you please address this issue.. i tried the solutions given in this link.. but still having the same error stackoverflow.com/questions/38656653/postgresql-reinstall-failed-to-load-sql-modules-into-the-database-cluster

Note for users: to add the file path, for older versions of Windows, you click edit, then you type ' ; ' at the end of the string, then you copy the new file path (bin...etc).
i edited and copied the new one in path.....i dont know what was there inside of it earlier. Does this get me into some problem?

This error made me cry for 2 hours now. Still unable to fimd a solution. Wtf please help
Same problem when installing on Windows PC. My Windows laptop worked just fine but desktop just wouldn't work. ROFL wtf is going on. I tried like 5 different suggested methods but none of them worked. I think it all comes down to the latest windows builds having write protection on C:\Program Files folder. Have you figured out a solution yet?
When I started the pgAdmin4 doesn' t have any postgreSQL server. What do I do? (ps: sorry if I wrote wrong, my english is bad)

Those who are having issue such while installation such as Cluster Initialization Failed, try uninstalling other DB if you have any, plus give username and password apart from admin, it worked for me atleast

operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the
path is correct and try again."
You most likely forgot to add the "Path variable" or added it wrong. Try to check this ;)

What do you do if windows makes a superuser from your computer's user account? Instead of postrges it asks me to log in with my name that I log into my computer with, and no password works.

Probably the toolchain path within the compiler options is not setup correctly?! (Do you have a compiler installed?)
Goto "Settings->Compiler...->Global compiler settings->GNU GCC Compiler->Toolchain executables" and fix the compiler's setup.

How do I add paths in Terminal for Mac? Is it just export PATH="$PATH:/Library/PostgreSQl/9.6/bin"? Does it matter what the prompt/shell is in Terminal? It seems like it's working, but how does Terminal know where this is being set? PATH always writes to .bash_profile?

After installing PostgreSQL as you mentioned...the way.. i open pgadmin 4 and then i opened querry tool but its not opening..
